I have seen quite a few post about people worried about losing pictures on custom roms.
Here is a great tip and it's free.
Use the dropbox app. It has built in function to upload camera pictures. Mine does screen shots as well. You have option to use data or wifi only.
I have no lost a picture since I set this up.
Hope this helps someone.

Ok so I just put MIUI onto my phone and I love it however I have a question I'm hoping someone might have an answer for.
When using the camera/ camcorder in landscape mode the pictures/videos save in portrait mode. Is this a common issue with ROMs for this phone maybe due to a porting issue and is there any fix that I can do? I tried a few apps but that didn't change anything either. Is my only option a return to stock?!
Btw this normally wouldn't be an issue but I just got my tickets for Armin and want some good videos.

I myself had same issue. Went in the gallery and click on the picture/video then there is a option I believe its the 3rd option on top and could rotate the image. It saved that way too. Hope that helps
Pictures that seems to work for but unfortunately not videos

I don't want to run an app for this. Was just wondering if any roms had it built in.
Seems like every time you want to show somebody ONE picture they go scrolling through them all.

There is no native gallery lock. What you could do though is create a folder where you put pics you want to share and before showing somebody hide all but that album. But really, what kind of pictures are you taking with your phone.... (just kidding, don't answer that )

I spoke too soon. I have problems with sky ics. When taking video and pictures it does not save pictures or videos anymore. It reverts back to a certain picture I took. I cannot delete that picture either. Tried clearing camera cache. Quickview cache. Messaging cache(tried capturing picture from text message field). Hmm any ideas? Is this common?

Okay. Fixed. Reflashed and fixed issue. What's weird is I flashed to cw7. It kept all my apps installed as is. Once I reflashed it sky
Ics it did not keep my apps.
My video I took earlier and lots of pictures reappeared as if nothing was ever wrong. Either way I'm happy again. And I went ahead and purchased the premium xda. Nice site

This app covers everything you need to know in 10th grade world history regarding Buddhism, Confucianism, and Hinduism. This application makes it easy to learn and memorize things about these religions, it includes swipe flash cards, informational videos streamed from the Internet made by "Crash Course World History", and it has a quiz that asks questions at random. Please rate generously as I am releasing this app to everyone for free. Keep in mind that most of the images used for this application were found off the Internet. Also this app includes two videos pulled from the Youtube channel; "Crash Course World History". At the moment this app only covers Buddhism, Confucianism, and Hinduism, but in the future I am planning to add more.

Just tried it. Half of your pictures are cropped in such a way that you can't even see what it says. It's not very intuitive either. There's no buttons to specifically change the pictures back and forth. All you can do is touch the screen and go to the next picture.

I searched about 1o pages of camera threads but did not find an answer.
I just bought my GS3 and rooted it.. its nice. I am playing with the stock camera program but for the life of me I cannot seem to find what directory on my phone the camera saves the pictures in. Does anyone know?
