Before you start let me make it clear that, I don't own this device or don't have any connection with it. I put this thread only because my friend from Chandigarh, India requested me to do a guide on customizing this device. So, I collected information from members related to this device & from other forums.
The Roms listed here are not my works, so it may or may not work with your device. I tried my level best to make it as simple as it can.
ROOTING
First of all, you need to Root your device.
Use Universal Androot, you can download the software here
Use Root Explorer or any file management softwares to install.
Now download the Rom Manager and install it.
RECOVERY MENU
Next you need to Install the stock Recovery Menu.
The complete procedure as well as the required files can be downloaded here.
Just downloaded & extract the file and follow the steps.
CUSTOMIZED RECOVERY
This Recovery Menu can only install update.zip files.
So, it need to be modified to install any custom rom.
You can download the custom Recovery here
Extract the file, Use Android Download Tool provided in the package to install.
Select only the Recovery option and flash the device with it.
Now reboot into recovery you can see a new recovery menu with options to install any zip file.
CUSTOMIZE YOUR DEVICE
Currently only a few customized roms are available.
Customized CyanogenMod Rom
This Rom is tested several times and 100% working. You can download it here.
Download the rom and put it to your sdcard (Please don't extract it.)
Reboot to recovery either by Rom Manager or by Pressing & Holding both power key &Home button.
Select the option to Install zip file from sdcard, now select the option to disable signature verification.

Procedure to Move Apps to SD Card
This the most important part since the Micromax Andro A60 has only a limited memory.
To transfer to sdcard you need to have ext partition.
Creating ext partion
First backup all your SD Card data to your Computer.
If you followed the procedure explained above, just reboot into recovery and select Partition SD Card.
Now you can choose the required size of your secondary partition.
These is another way to achieve this. Please refer this Thread.

Install Apps to Your SD Card
I suggest to use Link2SD. This can be downloaded here

Thanks to Aeonia tutorial I made the CWM recovery for the celkon a118 mt6589 phone.
ROOT REQUIRED
Steps -
1. Download the .img file attached and place it on the root of your ext. SD card. That is directly in SD card, not in any folder.
2. Download Mobileuncle tools app from play store
3. you will have to grant root permission to the app.
4. On main screen choose Recovery Update.
5.You will find the recovery image that you have download on top. Tap on it.
6. Flash Recovery.
7. Reboot in Recovery.
Done
Tested it on my celkon a118
Ok, I've been searching a lot on how to root these device and haven't found a single working root method for the latest firmware on the Korean variant specifically [L] variants. I haven't tested on other devices, so i can't guarantee that it will work on yours too.
So I spent hours experimenting on my Phone, good thing I didn't bricked it and no side effects received from rooting.
DISCLAIMER: Rooting your phone will void your warranty, and can be dangerous. Root at your OWN RISK!
Note: this will tick ur KNOX counter!
Things you needed are: (Links added)
1. Cofface S4 recovery: http://d-h.st/TLT
2. Odin (Already Included in cofface s4 recovery)
3. SuperSU flashable zip (For Permanent Root) : http://download.chainfire.eu/supersu
Steps:
1. Copy the flashable supersu zip on your memory card. (i put mine on /android/obb since the recovery cant see it in other folders.)
2. Flash cofface s4 recovery.tar via Odin, flash it as PDA or AP on latest versions of Odin.
3. After flashing the recovery.tar it will automatically reboot to the recovery (dont use the root/unroot method included in the recovery. IT WILL NOT WORK ON LATEST FIRMWARES!)
4. while in recovery choose install from sd card and flash the supersu zip that you downloaded.
5. Wipe Dalvik (just to make sure)
6. Reboot & Enjoy.
Other variants, if you try this method please do report back so we will know if it works on your phone models too.
Thanks To:
Cofface for the recovery
Chainfire for SUPERSU
