Had a similar issue before and I had to wipe internal sd in recovery and it was fixed. Don't know what screwed it.

I've had a recurring problem with running out of internal storage space. I've moved all apps that I possibly can over to my SD card, cleared the cache using CacheMate, and uninstalled most of the bloatware that came with the phone as well as any apps I didn't need that weren't on my SD card already and couldn't be moved. The other times that I've gotten this error, I've been able to uninstall enough stuff to make the notification go away but this time I can't seem to free up enough space.
I noticed that this error/notification occurs when my apps attempt to automatically update. For some reason this eats up my internal storage space even if the apps are installed on the SD card. Also, Market won't let me install any apps, even if they're installed to the SD card. Finally, when I get this error, my Gmail app stops working. It won't retrieve new mail at all.
Any ideas what is eating up so much of my internal storage space and how I can fix it??
Rooted then huh? market search "fota fix" by Matt Henry. Will set you up

Yes, my phone is rooted and running the Octane V3 ROM. I tried installing Fota Fix and I can't install it because there's insufficient space (I have 31mb free on internal memory and about 4gb on the sd card, yet it still gives me this error). lol...this is such an annoying problem.

Have you tried gl to sd?
It'll move some data (like game data) to your SD card and clear up some space.
I literally just got the low memory popup and used it and it cleared up a bit of data for me
thanks for the tip but it didn't work very well for me I'm still getting the error. I did full formats

Are you rooted? Because apps only install to your internal memory. If you are rooted you can uninstall all the crap stuff that you don't use, of I believe there is a way to make your external swap with the internal memory. But I believe you have to be rooted. I rooted mine and just uninstalled all the crap. Haven't run into any memory problems after that. Hope this helps.

everything i want to download from internet even if its 6MB it says Sd card full even if i have 2gb free.
Did u set internal storage as default ?if your internal storage is full,it won't save file to sdcard even you have 2gb free there.

i dont know but i also have 4.26GB free internal storage.I can download market apps but when i download a apk from internet it says sd card full
That's bad, maybe something's wrong with your system,or sdcard corrupted.try to use another sdcard and see that if you still have that problem.

If you come from ICS , your internal SD card may need a format.
You should have around 5.5 GB of internal SD size in total. Check that if you have only 1 GB. Then you need to format it.

Yes, you should enter recovery and format the phone's internal memory.
