Is there any way to speed up a rooted tablet running 4.0.4?

There's a few things you can do to increase touch responsiveness and scroll speed with the build.prop file. You can also increase vm heap and things like that. Pimp my rom app in the market has a bunch of tweaks that will help with various tasks. You can also overclock your cpu and change your I/o scheduler. What type of tab is it?

Since u have rooted, u can apply mods and tweaks prefered for ur model..
Also use task killers, to kill task and make ur tab faster....

Can anyone direct me towards a tutorial on the advanced settings of blade buddy, or simply tell me the best settings for this device?

Cutting boot animation saves me time on reboot.
I just wish I had any idea what the other settings meant

And what does that do?
Im running a few test. Heapsize is 64m, max growth is 128m. I dont see any difference from the null value.

Look at the link to the guide posted.
so i saw that we should increase the heap size to 64 to increase smoothness. can anyone verify that this is the right setting/this actually makes a difference in the performance?
I noticed there is a script for epic touch that will lower the processor speed to 1Ghz when between 84%-35% batter then 800Mhz at 34%-0% battery, is there any way to get that to run on the skyrocket?

Get setcpu in the market and adjust to the same settings.

I'm using system tuner pro for small tweaks and as a monitor and I had an issue with getting CPU settings to stick so I dl'd no frills but I think they are fighting each other because no frills won't hold on to the settings so any ideas

They probably are. I think you should have only one OC app installed at a time. What kernal are you running?

Hey guys is there an app that is just used for changing governor settings? I don't want to run system tuner cause It will run oc/uv simultaneously with a script that I'm already running to do that.

Antutu paid vs set CPU
Which is better ?! What are the pros and cons? Opinions?

Set CPU works fine for me...all I want is one thing, change the speeds that's all. But for a user that wants more options then they would probably chose antutu

I used to use SETCPU, but finally I found that the battery life was almost the same as the situation when I did not use the SETCPU.....So I gave up at last and let the phone run as it was..

The problem is I over clock and use a beta rom.... so its a bit buggy and if I can't sew my ghz live then I won't be able to trouble shoot so easily.

what i think is.. just use the "matched" radio and kernel.. and the battery will be at its peak.
Set cpu and check cpu tuner...

For me set cpu is better

I used to use SetCPU until I realized it was the culprit in a lot of my stability issues so I switched to using the kernel tweaked in liberty rom toolbox

Thanks for the input . I hear that the set CPU dev isn't good at responding. Any thoughts?

Cpu tuner it's better than set CPU..i used it in my x8..stability issues are occurred..so i prefer CPU tuner..
