I use Cardio Trainer
Mostly for jogging, gives me all the info I need and keeps track rather well

I use Endomondo Pro from play store. Very accurate statistics. You can see the weather too. What's more you can share your training on your endomondo account or facebook.

Use "JFIT Workout,Fitness,GymLog"
I have been using it... its really gud.... It has virtual demo of all the exercises.... you can keep log of your daily progress also....:good:
Hit "thanks" if you found the app useful

Tindroid

I used Endomondo PRO and now I`m using RunKeeper.
They are both very good but I think Endomondo is better. RunKepper is to anoying to me, while Endomondo is simple.
Sorry for bad english

I agree that Endomundo is good. I like the free version and it works well with my Jabra bluetooth headset when I don't remember my motoactv for running.

Workout trainer is the best..:thumbup::thumbup:

Runastic pro is a good one.

Endomondo and RunStatic (better buy Pro version if you're serious about that).

wait...what kind of workouts will you be doing? Running, weight lifting, cycling?

Nike Training Club seems to me a complete app

Pandora. Seriously, can't work out without it.

Using runstatic pro and i'm happy with it.

Podcast player?

Can anyone recommend a good podcast downloader and player for the evo?
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
I really like DoggCatcher.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
I use a separate player and downloader, because I haven't found one solution that meets all my needs. For downloader, I use Dpod. It's functional without being overly complicated. It has a player built in, but I prefer Mortplayer. Astro Player is also very good, possibly better than Mortplayer, but it's buggy and the UI is hideous.

doggcatcher is the best.
Beyondpod for sure. Easy sorting and lots of options. Well worth the 7 dollars.

I'd recommend DoggCatcher as well.
'tuna
you can use NewsRob and/or Google Listen
I've been using Google Listen for my podcast-listening nees but I'm not happy with it and didn't even think to see if there was better (since Listen is directly from Google.)
Seeing how few people use listen, I think I'll try some others, starting with DoggCatcher.
Listen is a Labs app, pretty much meaning beta. I always get errors and it never remembers my place in the podcast and makes me re-download the entire episode. So frustrating!
Good thread.
True. Still havent decided on one. The market has a few to choose from. Im going to try out doggcatcher next and see what its like.

Good Podcast App?

Who recommends what for a good podcasting app that doesn't break the bank, and free is even better!
I currently use Listen, but as with anything from Google, it's not very intuitive.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Roger
Wow...I thought for sure there would be a couple feedbacks by now.
Hmm...guess I'll stick with Google Listen for now. I'm aware of DogCatcher and some others of that caliber, but I was hoping for some secret I wasn't aware of. Lol
I use listen also I dont tthink there are any better alternatives

Sadly, I think you've found the best there is. Listen is buggy and lacking, but especially if you're a reader user, it's the best I've found. Seems like a big opportunity for someone to fill the gap. If only I had the time.
try .Podkast it allows favorites, download or listen live etc. and does video podcasts. Its a pretty good one.

+1 for .podkast. Stitcher only streams. .podkast streams AND downloads shows to your SD so you can listen on a plane or somewhere with no service. I use this app all day err' day!
+1 For PodKast
I drive from Portland (Oregon) to Spokane (Wa) and back daily. I download about 3-5 (mp3) podcast's daily. There's an option that shows you new post's too.

The best apps that have been pulled from the Android Market...

NOTE: These apps do not exist on the android market any longer because they in some way violated the market's ToS.
I thought this would be a very informative thread for everyone to add to, though I can only think of a few off the top of my head. Please, Add great apps that have been pulled from the market to the list.
I have updated the list to refelct all those mentioned as of 01-04-2012:
Grooveshark - stream songs and playlists via your grooveshark account
WifiKill - view and kick off users on a wireless network
ShootMe - screen capture app
Super Mario live wallpaper - watch mario go through three levels in the background
Icestream - Stream or download movies, tv shows, music, and more for free
Ghosttown - use youtube to search for and stream songs
Gtunes - Search and download single songs
Gameboid - Gameboy emulator
Bitsblock - A tetris variant
Snesoid and nesoid emulators
Openhome launcher - a launcher (unsure of why it was pulled...?)
These types of threads have been done before, but usually are more along the lines of "best apps to have for root users", etc... I am interested in knowing of more and will add others as I think of them. Please contribute!
I like this idea. Ill come back and add more as I think of them..
[*] Gtunes - allowed you to dl music
[*] Applanet - check it out (last attachment)...and if you like it, i'd love if you hit that *thanks*

I also hate when an app isn't available for your particular device, even though you know damn well your device can run the app (having tested other ways). The whole Market thing is kinda frustrating. And now I have to have the Google Market AND the Amazon Market for my apps, and neither will just filter the FOSS apps, which is what I mostly want anyway.
I think bitblocks was the best version of tetris yet on android. It was removed. Also Snesoid, and Nesoid, though I understand the author was violating the GPL, so what can you do....

Lets talk about sensors!

Our beautiful S4 has a number of sensors.
What are your views about it ?
Are you using these sensors in your daily use ?
Please feel free to share your reviews.
I use the remote because its easy to check the guide and switch channels immediatly instead of running the guide on the tv which covers the whole tv. As for the humidity and temperature sensors i can only say that they definetly work they're pretty sensitive and will be affected by body heat. They're fun to use though and could be very useful with the right widgets or apps

Thank you! We are waiting We need down-to-Earth and objective as possible, all sides comprehensive review. We need to understand how our app appeals to the end user. Does our app do its mission on making people's lives more productive, does the app help in something? We will improve the app in the next version, and we want it to meet people needs. So we will try to implement all the functionality you request (priority based on the most frequently requested).
By the way, there are lots and lots of live cams on Earth, that our app still does not include at the moment - and we are adding new webcams constantly. If you can't find the cam in your city - just tell us, we'll find and add them. So the number of available cameras will grow over the time and you'll see many new super-fast cams with excellent video quality, and many more HD cams that we currently have in our database. You won't need to update the app, cameras are being added separately on the server side and you see the new cams instantly. But we still encourage you to stay tuned for the app updates - for the new features and functionality.
The app itself functions great sometimes, other times it is painfully slow. No rhyme or reason as to why that I can tell (maybe it's a temporary slow down on the server side?) as my connection is solid (Wifi/LTE). I ended up uninstalling it due to frustration
However I would be more interested in keeping it installed if you added many more cams in my area and improved performance. There's very little in Southern California from what I can tell.

Your device is cool ? We think app slow downs related to Java, but not sure. Investigating while preparing the next version update.
j.walsh said:
We have some app download statistics from Google Play, by which all of our user devices are represented by roughly equal percentage. Our app is got solid 4 star ranking, and we believe this means that majority of users does not experience slow downs. This makes us thinking about only small percentage of users have this problem, and it could be related to their mobile devices. Although, we're not sure, and real problem could be completely in our code itself.
