I have the ota so i can just extract the radio.img and rcdata? or what do i need to extract?
Now i do have the newest ota so how would I flash the info?
I dont want to have to unroot, uncid relock all that bs so since i am super cid and rooted with twrp can i just run the ota from twrp and get the updated hboot which is 1.4.0005
and radio and so fourth?
Why, no difference in hboot and radio you can flash in recovery.
To answer your question, no. OTA's cannot be run in custom recovery or if unlocked.
By the way, latest hboot is 2.15

That's correct. You screwed yourself when you updated to ics firmware with s-on (or you set s-on after flashing though i can't figure out why). You are stuck for now until revolutionary supports the new hboot or until a new update that is supported comes out. You can now only upgrade, no downgrading for you, until s-off.

ok. thanks for help. if you find a way. please share on this post. OK?
Hello!
I followed this guide to downgrade my original HBOOT version 2.00.2002 to 0.98.0000. After that I used revolutionary to S-OFF my phone. But now I have to revert all this because of the warranty.
Now I think I have to install the old hboot version from this post. And after that I can install a RUU.
Now here is my question. To get the hboot version 2.00.2002 I have to use the newest RUU available. Somewhere I have read that this version cannot be turned to S-OFF again, but that's wrong, is it?
OK, let me rephrase my question. No matter which RUU version you installed, is it always possible to install an old RUU so you can get HBoot 0.98.xxx.x?

as far as i know...no. flashing a new/old RUU doesn't change your hboot.
that's my experiance at least...
But that's not possible. Because I installed an old RUU to downgrade my HBoot to version 0.98.
OK, I am back to stock now. I used the old hboot from my link and after that I flashed RUU_Saga_S_HTC_Europe_2.10.401.8.

hboot_ville_1.14.0005_signedbyaa.nb0 is whats inside the firmware.zip dated 1/28/2013
So whats this 2.15 you speak of?
Flash
So since im supercid s-off rooted custom rom can I boot into twrp and flash the firmware.zip and radio.img rcdata manually to get the newest radio and hboot?
Or will this have bad effects on my s-off and custom rom?
Please note there's a risk if u up to JB

DEAR TIM,
The 2.15 HBOOT is use for the euro JB system, is u change SCID to 11111111 and S-off, then u can RUU to the EURO version

No, you cannot run ota.zips in custom recoveries, such as twrp. You need to relock and flash stock recovery, but of you do that, you might as well upgrade to the latest as the guy above mentioned.
I guess tmobile has not released the update yet, that's why you don't have the latest
But why do all that, just flash a radio from the radio collection/installer and be done with it. No benefit in updating hboot. There are lots of zips in the dev section already premade to install hboots in recovery...if you really want, but messing with hboot always Carries risk..I'd say, don't touch it.

Thanks for the rapid response.
But if I change my cid from htc__001 to super cid and run the ruu that means I cant do any of there ota's for it will brick according to the forums though correct?
And I though if I extracted the radio.img and rcdata zip I could flash them separately.
Just not sure how.
The most you can do is 2.35.531.12, which is 1.xx hboot, positive. 2.15 is the Jellybean OTA hboot version. But if you r going to do those things, it should require the HTC__xxx or SuperCID2 (22222222). Also, I bricked my fone doing the update, so you should just flash CM10 and screw TMOUS because it deserved to be shi**ed, screwed, and fuc**d on.
you'll get updates quicker thru the devs than the carrier
that's one reason we rooted

the JB system(HBOOT 2.XXX.X) won't allow u to flash radio.img individual.
Only Hboot below 1.13.xxx can flash separately~

Super cid and ruu is fine...just don't do ota while super cid.
Once you do the ruu mentioned, you'll be right up to date and no need for ota anyways.

Do NOT run OTA while SuperCID, you may brick it.
Get supercid and then s-off, yes.
But flashing ota With supercid can brick your phone.
Change your cid to e.g. HTC__001 if you are in europe before flashing ota.

SuperCID allows you to run any RUU. However, there have been reports of devices getting bricked whilst updating to Jelly Bean with SuperCID, so I would recommend setting your CID to HTC__001.

Hello again,
I am attempting to get my phone fully updated and had a few questions regarding the update process.
These are the things that I need done to my phone in order to use $droyd$ cm10.1 instead of the downward slope "official"
SuperCID 1111111
Kernel 3.14 through RUU
S-OFF
It is my understanding that SuperCID is required to S-Off so that order is apparent, but the RUU update and anything else I may be missing I am unsure of.
I am running a TMOUS Ville (S4)
HBOOT 1.09
TWRP v2.4.2
I dont really care about the contents of the phone as its all either cloud based or backed up already.
What is the best course to take to do all that I need?
Am I missing anything vital to this process?
Also, this is the RUU I found doing a search, can someone verify this is the correct/most recent RUU I need :link:
Thanks for any help. Cheers
-pyro

He (apparently) needs to install a RUU to get the latest updates over OTA - otherwise the new 3.4 kernel for AOSP roms won't work (very well).
I'm trying the same thing, (hboot 1.06, s-on, unlocked, TWRP) but i'm pretty confused right now...
1. do i need s-off / stock recovery / something other to install a RUU exe?
2. if i successfully installed a RUU, should i update via OTA? or is it enough to install the latest RUU exe to get the firmware required for the 3.4 kernel?
3. some people mentioned big problems after the OTA update if you have super cid / s-off...... BUT
4. some people mentioned you can't get s-off AFTER you install the latest OTA update
so do we have the choice between not using the 3.4 kernel and not having s-on (therefore having to flashboot boot.img everytime), or am i missing something?
If wont to flash ONLY RUU, just install stock recovery.
If you want to get OTA, chanche super-CID to normal , 'coz YOU CAN FINISH WITH BRICK!!
