right boot into recovery and go into tools then select smart flash then flash rom again and it will boot
of flash the boot.img provided in the rom your flashing with fastboot flash boot boot.img
did you just unlock it with HTC DEV just now ??? make sure you install 4ext recovery ( its best recovery ) and make sure you go to recovery select Tools then select smart flash then go back wipe all apart from sdcard then flash rom when phone boots up it will do a restart and flash boot.img by itself then when it restarts again it will boot up into android

Just Bootloader nothing else

I had the can't mount sdcard issue on my tablet
I read somewhere that you can - erase the command system -. and so on. The boot-related files would be preserved
Unfortunately I have now only the acer logo and the boot loader on the screen.
When I press power and volume, nothing happens. Is there any possibility to rescue the Tablet?
I can just connecting and sending commands via usb and aio toolbox.
Please help me, my records from the study are in this tablet.
OK, lets summerize:
Tablet Acer 510

What is the AIO Toolbox? I didn't know....
If you've connect the Tablet on the PC, could the PC know the Tablet? Does you've access to the Tablett via adb ? Does the Tablett stopped at this point or it is in a reboot loop?
If you've an access via adb, you have the possibility
a) safe you work on PC
b) restore the 3 *.img on your tablett
If you need the 3 img files, I can give you a link of my 3 files (after root and NO-AD installation)
I tried this
Yes i can connect to pc by manipulating the lock screen button while starting with volume and power button.
Then i can send commands like this "fastboot oem unlock" or this "fastboot flash recovery recovery_nothrills.img"
I tried to send the nothrills image again, and it accepts the image and says image receyved but doesn't help.
Please can you mention what i have to do now.
Did you get my private message
Isn't it possible to mount the sdcard in ADB, and then pull the files you need?
In that way you have your records back and you can flash stuff without the fear of losing your files.

Can i push files in acer fastboot interface mode
I think i'd erased the bootfiles for the bootloader of nothrills boot image
i can just connect in fastboot interface mode and can sending commands
From what I have gathered on your thread on the other board you have erased your /sdcard partition
I believe CWM needs /sdcard (If I remember right, it says something to this effect when booting to CWM)
1) Try to flash the stock recovery from NoThrill's thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1866378
2) put a stock ROM on an external SD card (rename to update.zip) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1897791
3) boot into recovery
4) keep your fingers crossed that it will install

Did you boot to recovery? (Vol- + power)
YEAH
a little success
I put updare.zip on external sd
Used this command "fastboot flash boot boot.img "This is the stock kernel of nothrill"
And now i got:
erasing cache before sd update...
sd update command: recovery
update package=sdcard: update.zip
Booting recovery kernel image
Now it stays on this state until 7 minutes an nothing happens
What boot.img did you flash?

Are you having issues with the ThrillsKernel (freezes, reboots, etc.)? Download the Acer kernel below:
Acer original kernel (mirror) (mirror)
(MD5 for the .ZIP file: b6e4f3fed3c96468ee25a0c3a8925433)
Flash this from the Recovery and wipe dalvik-cache. Note: This Acer kernel will only work with the ROM in this thread, do not attempt to use it on other ROMs!
In this zip is a boot.img and a directory called Meta.inf
OK, so that would be a stock kernel.
Can you try to flash the whole ROM via fastboot?
- copy the update.zip to your fastboot directory
- fastboot update update.zip

shall i try "fastboot boot recovery_nothrill.img?"
No worries, maybe someone more knowledgeable will come around . Unfortunately I no longer have an A510.
So, you currently are on stock recovery and it hangs after: "Booting recovery kernel image", right?
Maybe we really need to reconstruct /sdcard... but I have no idea how.

I don't think you did it correctly, first boot you should see the 4 icons and you need to hit the volume down button on your device (within 10sec) to select USB icon then hit the volume up button to select this setting, now proceed with the instruction on your pc to flash. Make sure you copy the recovery twrp file named" openrecovery-twrp-2.3.1.0-tf700t.blob" from here http://goo.im/devs/OpenRecovery/tf700t to the "install Recovery" folder and RENAME this file to recovery.blob

Sounds like your pc is not communicate correctly with your device. When your device is on and you execute Scott's bat file, is your device reboot into recovery so that you can select fastboot mode? Basically, Scott bat file is using adb command to reboot your device into recovery mode, you manually select and enable fast boot mode on your device, then the script is using fastboot command to push the recovery.blob (located in the same directory as Scott bat file) to your device.

don't trust the log from fastboot or any script. Just make sure the recovery.blog is in the same directory of the fastboot command and you must execute fastboot.exe from command prompt.
1. manually boot to fastboot mode from your device. (boot to recovery then select USB icon)
2. Open command prompt and run as admin and navigate to fastboot.exe directory (with recovery.blog in this directory also)
3. type;
fastboot.exe -i 0x0B05 flash recovery recovery.blob
4. Once done, type
fastboot -i 0x0B05 reboot
Let me know the status.

Try this, copy the recovery.blob to this directory:
H:\Users\Install user\
Then type dir then hit enter, make sure your fastboot.exe and recovery.blob are there
H:\Users\Install user> dir then hit enter
Should show both fastboot.exe and recovery.blob
Now execute the fastboot command to push the recovery.blob

What stage are you in? Have you got clockworkmod-recovery installed?
I assume you are referring to superuser zip file. DO NOT unzip it, copy the zip file into your Nexus S sdcard, any folder.
Copy clockworkmod-recovery image file to C:\Program Files\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools\
1. Reboot into recovery: Power off, hold Vol-Up and long-press Power button. This should get you in FASTBOOT MODE
2. Flash clockworkmod recovery via fastboot: Go into Windows command prompt
Code:
cd C:\Program Files\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools\
fastboot flash recovery recovery-clockwork-5.0.2.0-crespo.img
3. Once fastboot is finished, choose "RECOVERY" option on FASTBOOT menu. That should put you in Clockworkmod Recovery menu.
4. Select "install zip from sdcard"->"choose zip from sdcard" and select the superuser zip file that you copied earlier.
5. Reboot and you should be rooted.
Hope this helps.

So it says sending recovery. But its just stuck on saying that and is it supposed to take long?
If you are on stock rom, clockworkmod recovery may be replaced by stock recovery upon each boot.
You can re-flash clockworkmod recovery each time you need it, or disable the recovery restoration. Search this forum for instruction on how to make recovery stick.

Have you got Android SDK-tools installed? Did you install the "Platform Tools" package via SDK manager? fastboot.exe is not installed by default. You may want to install USB driver too. See attached picture.
Test if fastboot is available and working: plug nexus s to pc:
Code:
cd C:\Program Files\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools\
fastboot devices
If usb driver is working, you should see some device id being displayed.

Please see previous post #11 to test if fastboot/usb driver is working. Nexus S must be in FASTBOOT MODE.
Install Google USB driver package from SDK manager if necessary.

[Q] Newbie needing help rooting my Sensation!

Hi there,
I'm new to all things development. I have an HTC Sensation on Virgin mobile in Canada. I am trying desperately to root my phone and I have followed this guide (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1632553). I've done lots of searching on this forum and google and can't find anyone with my specific problem.
I have put the SupperSU.zip file into my SD root, unlocked my bootloader through the HTC dev website and flashed CWM using the One X program. However, when I try to boot into recovery it stalls on the white HTC loading screen. I have tried to boot into recovery using One X, a command control from my android folder on my computer and using the power button and down volume button but it always stalls. Since I cant boot into recovery I cant use CWM flash the SuperSU.zip, which I understand finishes the rooting process.
Also: I am pretty sure my drivers are up to date but when I tried to install the drivers from One X it always interrupts the installer saying the Device is in Use...andnI dont know if that means my phone (which its not) or my computer. I uninstalled my antivirus because I read that might be blocking it... but still no luck!
I would really appreciate any help or guidance you can offer! I am a complete newbie when it comes to this and I have done my best to search out answers and tutorials before coming here for help.
reflash the recovery.img using the fastboot command(rename it as recovery.img)
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img then do
fastboot reboot bootloader
after that try to enter to recovery
note:i assume you know how to use fastboot commands
if you still can't enter to recovery then try this
place the recovery.img in the folder where you have adb and fastboot files
boot the device to bootloader and connect it to pc via usb(in the hboot screen must say fastboot usb)
open in the folder a cmd window and do
fastboot reboot recovery.img

Thanks for your advice! I just want to double check what you mean before I try anything.. Do you mean that I should rename the fastboot file to 'recovery.img' and then use the fastboot commands (by holding shift and right click on my android folder to open command folder)? I am really quite new an d I think I know how to use fastboot commands but I'm not positive. I'm not sure where to find the recovery.img file!
I'm a complete beginner and I'm really trying to understand this Thanks for being patient and helping!

exactly as you said
about recovery.img use the one from the guide you used to root the device(CMW 5.8.0.9 )
or check 4ext recovery from this guide
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1631861 (step 2)

So when I renamed my CMW recovery file as recovery.img and put it in my android folder, booted my phone into fastboot usb mode and connected it to my pc. I opened a command window from the android folder with the recovery.img file in it and typed fastboot reboot recovery.img all I got was this:
C:\android>fastboot reboot recovery.img
usage: fastboot [ <option> ] <command>
commands:
update <filename> reflash device from update.zip
flashall flash boot + recovery + system
flash <partition> [ <filename> ] write a file to a flash partition
erase <partition> erase a flash partition
getvar <variable> display a bootloader variable
boot <kernel> [ <ramdisk> ] download and boot kernel
flash:raw boot <kernel> [ <ramdisk> ] create bootimage and flash it
devices list all connected devices
reboot reboot device normally
reboot-bootloader reboot device into bootloader
options:
-w erase userdata and cache
-s <serial number> specify device serial number
-p <product> specify product name
-c <cmdline> override kernel commandline
-i <vendor id> specify a custom USB vendor id
-b <base_addr> specify a custom kernel base address
-n <page size> specify the nand page size. default:
2048
What should I do now? Thank you again!!

I also tried to open a command window there and reflash the recovery.img by typing fastboot flash recovery recovery.img ...except it said "error: "cannot load recovery.img" except the file is definitely in that folder and named recovery.img

That worked!! I realized I had renamed the recovery file 'recovery.img' instead of just 'recovery)" (the second .img was redundant) which is why it wouldnt find the file. Anyway, it's rooted now!

as i understand you are on S-ON

[ROOT] [SOLVED] flashing recovery twrp MOTOROLA MOTO 3rd 2015

I've unlocked the bootloader and now i'm trying to start a twrp recovery to access and install SuperSU which is copied (zip file) inside my internal storage of my phone. I'm using adb fastboot and an osprey twrp downloaded from this site, i write in the command prompt (opend from the adb fastboot folder, where there's the twrp file) :
>fastboot flash recovery twrp-osprey-3.0.2-r1.img
target reported max download size of 268435456 bytes
error: cannot load 'twrp-osprey-3.0.2-r1.img': No error
what should i do to load this recovery (or another one, it doesn't matter) and to open SuperSU to let me to root my phone???

First verify that you have debugging enabled from the developer options, second check that the recovery file is located in the folder plataform tools (Tools with which the flashing process is done).
Third, verify that you have the device drivers installed correctly.
If it does not work try to do root with kingroot (Look for the official page, download the same apk), the process is not difficult ... Clarify the device will restart repeatedly, at each restart reopen the application to continue with the process, it may work as it may not. (Do it at your own risk). If this method works follow the steps in this video to install TWRP recovery: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xwFC41d-7Yg
I think that for process of rooteo you can go ahead alone.

Your answer is here "error: cannot load 'twrp-osprey-3.0.2-r1.img': No error"... Everything is working perfectly, except there is no file by that name that fastboot can find, therefore it didn't do anything, thus no error. The problem is your TWRP img is in the wrong place or named incorrectly. Your problem is basic commands or file structure, not a problem with the phone or fastboot.

i guess the name of recovery is wrongly typed so rename the recovery in that folder to something simple like twrp.img take note of the extension as in windows the extension is hidden by default. hope it helps you.
