i have a kernel of jb of MediaTek MT6577
its of other device but as it has same board and very very less modified same as mmx a110 (micromax a110)

Have you tested this kernel by self , as you are also working on a rom(dont know which OS).

i dont have the phone , was gonna buy currently but
i have to collect some money was thinking to start development as it would take a long period . if this kernel boots then i promise you to get jb

i guess jb kernel wont boot in ics rom :silly:
get it as combo (rom+kernel)

usually all jb kernel boot ics too
gb kernel doesnt boot ics or jb

my previous sony mobiles did not boot (JB kernel on ICS)

Hi can you tell from which device you get the kernel. If the device is very similar to Canvas 2 so it's jb rom also work and we can try to port it

i got it from zopo 950
very very similiar
just a change it has 1gb ram
but kernel dont interfere in ram i think

It's a dual sim phone so custom roms can't run on it .

Porting MTK6577 Overclock Kernels to STAR N9588

Hello I'm looking to get more out of the gpu and cpu since it's lacking in a huge way. Can I port over the overclock from say the Miromax a110 or whichever Micromax has the MTK6577 with the overclock?

as i learned form a website that our micromax canvas a110 is having chipset MT6577. If so my query is will it support any rom which is made for phones running in MT6577?
for example ZTE v970 is having the same chipset MT6577. If i download a custom rom made for that phone will it work in our canvas a110?

Yes it will,after some moddihg if ram,camera etc are same. We need to replace the framework , modem.img especially ,the modules from the stock rom.

Can anyone over there Crete a custom over clocking kernel for micromax a92.........
I think that MMX A110 has a thunderzap custom kernal for it as these 2 devices have same specs so can anyone port this or any other kernel....
