try to flash default EFS.tar for i9003, google it ok>no spoonfeeding..after u download the .tar file flash it via ODIN in PDA..put ur phone into download mode..his case u can receive call and txt messages, but this is only an alternative solution ok..coz this will make fake IMEI and the only way it can restore either u have backup or go to service center..that the only option..
i had the same problem with baseband empty and no sign of signal so what i did was flashing the default efs then after i went to service center to have my original IMEI be back..

Hello all. To restore imei. In some situation you need to flash back to original phone firmware due to the imei bin file has recorded everything from phone including your modem version at that time you copied it out from efs folder.
OK. In something which I didn't know is how to force the phone to read baseband. Yeah due to baseband unknown so you imei is blank. This is what I experienced.
OK. For baseband unknown. U can try to switch to airplane mode wait awhile than switch back.
Someone try and it work for him.

Galaxy 3 -I lost my IMEI Number - Help!

Hi... I am from India. I was very happy with my I5801 till about a week ago, when it suddenly started only the samsung name. I looked up flashing the phone and flashed it with the original firmware DDJG6 from samfirmware.com. I found it very easy and thought, why not flash it with froyo... . I did that going for the I5800XXJPF firmware. I didn't find the one package tar file and so used the pda file as boot file. I could not find the imei after that, but my phone was working. I wanted the imei to be displayed and found that there was a way to do it. I was convinced that my efs was corrupted and clicked the efs button in the odin to flash the efs. After this, i thought my phone's imei number would be shown, it was not. I thought I should flash back to eclair DDJG6 and do it. I did that but found to my horror that IMEI now was 000000000000000.
Please walk me through getting back my IMEI number.

kuch solution mila? I am facing same problem.
AFAIK there's nothing you can do without your original efs folder. Did you perhaps make a back-up of it. If not then it's service center for you.

SAMSUNG GALAXY SL I9003 - A complete failure in restoring efs!

Hello!
My samsung galaxy sl i9003 had a problem with cellular network signal. After I've checked it's software baseband versions, I saw the following details:
PDA: I9003XXKPQ
PHONE: Unknown
CSC: I9003SERKPQ
IMEI: Blank.
I thought this could be a problem with the firmware or the corrupted efs folder. So I backed up the efs with root browser to sd card.
1)Then I've flashed with custom rom Jellybam 4.1.1 alpha.
I didn't replaced the efs folder to know the error is either with firmware or the efs folder itself. After flashing with Jellybam I had the same problem again.
2)Some of the members suggested to flash with stock ROM and check again. So I have flashed again with XXKPE, XXKPU and Finally with XXKPQ firmwares to fix the problem. But still I ended up with same problem.
Every time I did the above procedure I didn't replaced the efs folder with the backup.
3)So I've replaced the efs to check the problem again with each and every stock ROM i've flashed. Still I ended up with same problem.
4)So after a thorough studying I came to know that either my efs file is corrupt or it is missing the required files. So I've followed the procedures for restoring efs and IMEI explained by members and developers of XDA ( Method 1 Method 2 )
Still No use!! Same problem!
I guess my mobile is permanently locked!!!! :crying::crying:
Is there any other method to restore my mobile in working condition? Or is the samsung outlet's repair is the only way??

Lost IMEI no data no WiFi, files only show in recovery, no efs Backup pls help

Hey everybody I hope someone can help me to rescue my phone.
I flashed carbon and ukm. Then wanted to change GPU governor to simpleondemand and got hot reboots. Was not able to fully boot and lost imei. I tried to restore my backup but they didn't want to boot either, same with another fresh install. Thereafter I deleted synapse folder through recovery and was able to boot my restored ROM. Now I have no imei, no data, no WiFi... In addition my files don't show the files on my phone anymore I only can see them in my recovery, all is still there. My problem is I don't have an extra efs backup only two ROM backups. First I would have liked to know how I can rescue my data? Cause its not showing on booted phone and because of that also not on computer via USB. Is there a proper way to save and what can I do to maybe save my phone. I flashed ROM for years on many different devices and something like that never happened before any help appreciated thanks!!!

And its very strange that computer doesn't show files but my recovery does. And I have installed all drivers
Edit: ok found a way^^ through twrp recovery I could mount it to show on my computer so now will try

You can use TWRP to drag and drop files as MTP is a feature in TWRP now.

Hello, I had sent you a message to try and help as much as I could but you opened a thread so I'll help you on here.
First. Double check all twrp folders using a file Explorer. Some roms when flashed through twrp automatically back up your efs partition.
Second. If the folders are blank then we'll proceed to try other methods of fixing your imei.
I assume since you went from having a blank imei to that weird number you tried one of the methods you found through Google.
There are ways to manually reenter your imei if the methods found on Google fail. Follow the instruction in the site below (I highly suggest using the terminal emulator method) and report back here. Your imei can be found on your Sim card or the bigger card your Sim came in.
Flash with stock 5.1.1 ROM via odin.

This right here.
I have cleaned this thread, and I don't want to see any posts about IMEI modifying or anything illegal here.
You can try stock flashing, rebuilding an EFS partition somehow (probably impossible) or repair shop, but any talk of anything illegal and the moderators will take action on your account.
Thanks.
Have you tried searching for a Galaxy s6 efs repair script?
If nothing has worked you definitely need to go with a repair shop. Either a third party repair or try to warranty replace your phone through Samsung. If you go the Samsung route Odin flash 100% stock firmware then send it in to them and see what they say
yeh i boght new s6 edge lolllllll bbut i i learned to back up
