Can't connect to pc

Bought this Galaxy S USED yesterday
I cant get it to connect to my pc
i have done the following.
-installed and reinstalled Kies several times
-Installed and reinstalled drivers several times
-Tried 4 different usb cables
-Tried in USB debugging mode
My phone connects to the pc and then i get a message that my phone is not recognized (windows error 43)
The phone does charge . I have tried all of the options like Samsung Kies , Mass storage , Media player
Nothing seems to work when i select media player option the mpt application starts to crash , i have read on forums that if the mtp crashes i can just select mass storage mode but when i select mass storage mode my pc says device not recognized
When i checked the Build info it says on Kernel Version 2.6.29 [email protected] #4
Firmware version is 2.1-update-1
Build number is Eclair.XWJM2
Please help me with this , i thought maybe there if i flash everything but in order to flash it i need to connect it to my pc which is becoming impossible

have you installed the usb drivers for it? What windows you running?

installed drivers several times but it doesnt seem to help
windows 7 32 bit

You can try using a program called usbdeview. Google it and download it. It shows you all of the drivers installed on your computer. Delete all of the drivers affiliated with your phone. Make sure USB Debugging is checked and connect your phone and allow it to install the drivers automatically. It might work, either way, worth a try.

[Q] Samsung Kies for CM 11

I just flashed CM 11 rom by storm31.
once i connect to my desktop using KIES, i couldnt find usb setting so that the phone treated with KIES instead of as USB storage.
does anyone know where the setting is?

open setting in your android
developer option

i've tried it many times, but still failed to detect as kies partner device.
it only detected as usb.
i found it on the active used driver, it only load
1. USB composite Device
2. Linux File-CD Gadget USB Device
3. Android composite ADB interface

Faced same issue. KIES is not even detecting the wave with custom ROMs.

[Q] Help downloading the correct drivers

Can anyone help me connect my Samsung Galaxy Y GT-S5360L touch screen phone to my computer? I need to upload my picture Gallery to my computer to put in file. I connected phone to PC with USB cord, and it said I need a driver I do not have installed. Where do I find this driver; CDC abstract control Model (ACM)? Thank you for your help in advance. download this USB driver and install it on your pc it will be fine

MTP Device error
Gt-S 7562 Not able to solve MTP device error after installing custom rom
I have tried many solutions that was posted on XDA, running Windows 7 32 bit

Windows 8.1 Pro won't install MTP driver from Windows Update!

Like my title says,
I tried everything for my phone to connect it to my computer but nothing worked,
Now on Windows Update I can see an update for 'SAMSUNG Electronics Co., Ltd. - Other hardware - SAMSUNG Mobile MTP Device'
But my problem is if I click install, I get an error ,, failed to install.. what could be the reason of this ? please help.. thanks
And for my phone I did everything,
-kies
-kies3
-deleting Upperfilter in regedit
-installing latest samsung drivers
-trying a diffrent usb cable
-trying a diffrent usb input
-usb debugging ON
-switching from MTP to PTP and back to MTP
