[Q] google image search swipe problem. PLEASE HELP! - General Questions and Answers

can't find anything on this. I have an htc evo 4g lte. s-off. on viper (or any sense rom) when swiping to scroll through image results, the thumnails pages are not landing precisely on the next page. it's off by like one or a half of a thumbnail. the bar with the page numbers and arrows move with the swipe. touching an image then proceeds to show the wrong image. if I start on the first page it will work fine by tapping the right arrow instead of swiping. this started with jb. now on aosp roms this happens but only if I scroll up or down before or durring swipe left. I don't understand it and it's driving me crazy. in sense roms it does it no matter what. searching for help on this is useless as the search criterea brings up a slew of unrelated topics. am I missing something? I find it hard to believe this problem is limited to my device.

here is an example

New infinite scrolling google images works fine effectively negating the possibility of my side scrolling issue (obviously) so if any moderator sees this thread, go ahead and close it.

at the moment i'm currently using HandyShortcuts or shortcutmanager with everything turned off, but every soft reset it loses its settings
surely there must be an addon to add a few blank lines?
(also is there any theme creator that you can make the lines between the addons transparent)
cheers people
my one (link in my sig) adds almost a whole screen of blank if you do not set up the shortcuts. You can put the other today items before it if you want them on screen or after it if you want them to scroll off. The only down side is that if you use another today item at the same time as my one you will get the scroll bar, some people don't like to see it.
You say you want to make some transparent space, the reason you can't do it with some theme is that it is never transparant. When we make it seem transparent, in reality we just ask the today screen/os to keep re-drawing the background picture thats already there. Check out my options dialog, it has the same background as the today screen. Thats because that window is also "asking" for that image to get drawn.
Scary bear has one free. I've made one which is quite useful, but unreleased for now until VJToggleToday comes out...

We can dowd it in android market now!!Great!
Great UI It's unique and great. Takes some time getting used to but it brings something fresh to the board. Oh but on the app page, an easier way to scroll to different app pages would be nice. Example if we touch the bullet of a page it takes use to that page. Or if we swipe the bullets, it moves accordingly.
device not supported (nexus S ICS 4.0.4). Isn't it suitable with ICS?

Obviously too young to bother reading through the thread titles.
There is already HUGE thread about this ugly, expensive, pointless app.
So really no purpose was served by you spamming all over the form that its
available.
Free
At least we can get it for free

[Q] unknown Russian home screens - hacked?

My wife's phone was displaying these home screen images when she woke it up today.
Immediately prior to seeing these, she did the following: Opened Dolphin, signed into a Yahoo Groups account to download a work PDF, browsed Drudgereport or theDailyMail, set her phone down.
A few minutes later, she turned the screen on, slid the unlock bar and then boom, these images. Just like a home screen, she could swipe left and right and see the additional screens. They were not interactive in any way, though. I took pics of the screens and then hit the "home" button and everything seemed normal--then she pulled her battery and is leaving it off until we figure this out.
She has no suspect apps, nothing recently installed, no blackmarket app downloaders...
WTF is going on?

I think that's a launcher
Sent from my HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio Z715e using xda premium
I suspected a launcher, but she has nothing new/changed on settings. I'll power her phone up and go through all her apps.
Any idea what launcher it could be? I'm not familiar with any that feature this kind of default text or lack of actual style...and I've been flashing Roms and rooting since the G1.

Interactive Phone, People, Email & Calendar Icons on JB?

Recently for some unrelated reasons, I had to do a complete wipe/reset of my phone.
Until then, I had been running ICS. Since I had to reload anyway, I went with the stock JB load.
Something I immediately noticed was that the Phone, People, & Calendar icons/shortcuts no longer appear to be interactive? Just simple shortcuts.
For example, on ICS, the Phone & People icons in the launcher had up/down swipe actions (see the up/down triangles). The Calendar and Email shortcuts had the same ability.
Now on JB, they're just basic icons/shortcuts. I've looked through all the settings and don't think I'm missing anything. Is this something that was just dropped by Motorola/Google on JB?

Ok, so apparently this feature is called "Quick View" and was disabled by Motorola in all Jelly Bean ROMs. Several people with the Atrix were also complaining about it missing.
It wasn't "removed", but disabled from what I understand. The component for it seems is still present in the ROM (see below).
Any ideas on how to re-enable it? I'm not coming up with much discussion scouring the net.

[Q] Android Apps Bouncing Up & Down / Lockscreen Issue

I'm using the Acer A210 if that makes any difference.
I've wiped and installed different ROMs and the bouncing app bug persists, I've searched EVERYWHERE for a solution but can't seem to find one.
No matter what app I use a bar will come up between the status bar and actual app the same thickness as the status bar. On the old ROM I used it used to only rarely happen and only happen often in the Google Voice app but now with the new ROM I have installed (was forced to update ROM as I woke up and suddenly the tablet wouldn't go passed the Acer boot screen) it's on EVERY app I use and drives me crazy. I'm pretty sure it's not a hardware issue as it's only persistent in apps, never on the homescreen, lockscreen, nor does the status bar move, thus the screen itself isn't projecting the pixels to move, it's something within the coding itself I assume.
My other issue I'm having is my lockscreen is completely locked to landscape mode and I'd like for it to be able to be locked to portrait or at least have the ability to auto-rotate, I'm sure that's the easier to solve problem of the two but they're both driving me nuts.
If I could get some codes for the files I need to edit and a simple how-to that'd be amazing.
Any workarounds are welcome and any help is appreciated, thanks!
