[Q] Help, I can't unlock my Nexus S' bootloader - Nexus S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I just bought an used Nexus S and it was stuck on the 'Google' screen with unlocked bootloader.
I tried to reset to factory but it didn't work. Then, I discovered it wouldn't mount the /sdcard.
So I flashed CWM through fastboot, but now the bootloader is locked and still can't mount /sdcard nor /system partitions, so I can't flash a ROM.
When I try to use 'fastboot oem unlock' and select "Yes", it gets stuck and nothing happens.
I've already tried to use Odin, with PDA, Bootloader and CSC files but it takes a long time only to fail at the end. I don't know what else to do.

I have the same problem! Please help us!

[Q] Nexus S filesystem problem

Hi guys,
My phone won't get past the google logo anymore. I can get into bootloader mode, but now it says my phone is locked.
I can't unlock it via the "fastboot oem unlock" command. When I do that, I get a Erase fail. I can get into CWM, but I cannot restore any nandroid or flash an update.zip.
I also can't flash any file with fastboot, when I do I get "write fail". So I think the filesystem is somehow corrupt.
I tried to get into download mode via the Unbrickable Ressurector, but then I get the screen on my phone to unlock the bootloader (which doesn't work).
Anybody got an idea?

Nexus 5 Stucked in Fastboot Mode

Hi,
I have a Nexus 5 (d820) stucked in fastboot mode.
After doing some research, I got the TWRP working as recovery.
When I try to wipe, or flash any rom, even the original ones, I got some errors regarding read-only partitions.
I can LOCK and UNLOCK the boot at will... I can access fastboot/adb, etc...
How can I be sure my memory is defective? (I know it is probably the problem)
Anyone tried to replace the memory? (No warranty anymore)
Thanks for any help!
When you unlock the bootloader, does it stay unlocked?
I can unlock my bootloader but, after rebooting to fastboot, it says the bootloader is locked.

If there bootloader relocks when you restart the phone, the memory chip is probably damaged.

HELP: Stuck on Bootloop- BRICKED?

Ok so, this isn't my first time flashing and returning to stock with phones, just the worst. Any help is appreciated.
I unlocked the bootloader, installed TWRP and tried to flash a few ROMS which were not working great so I went to go back to stock and then the **** show happened. Its the LO4 Model. I flashed stock recovery, Relocked the bootloader and tried the Force Flash Update method. Well now the phone is stuck in a boot loop(Cant power it down), cant boot to erecovery/ recovery -- I can get to fast boot mode but the FRP is locked so I can not do anything all commands fail with an error.
Any thoughts? I just need to get it back to stock OR a working ROM- I plan on selling this phone and My wife (it was her phone) has upgraded to a Galaxy S9. If I cant get it to work, I will post it on swappa as is for a cheap price
Thanks!
Same Issue
I did the same thing, however when in fastboot type fastboot oem unlock (put the code here) and this will unlock your bootloader. I did this I even managed to flash the stock system cust recovery and boot, but it doesnt boot into recovory, erecover, or even download mode to download the software from the sd card. Any ideas?
I tried that fastboot code and I get an error because of the FRP lock

"Can't find valid operating system" on bootup, bootloader is locked so I can't flash

"Can't find valid operating system" on bootup, bootloader is locked so I can't flash
I was locking my bootloader because I didn't want to have my phone rooted anymore. So, I factory reset it, set it up, and then went into the bootloader and typed "fastboot flashing lock". I selected yes to confirm the locking of my bootloader and then my phone rebooted. But now my phone says "Can't find valid operating system" and I can't boot into Android. I can't even flash a stock image, because I locked the bootloader. I can't unlock the bootloader, since I can't go into the OS and turn OEM Unlock on. Am I screwed?

Click to collapse
Factory reset doesn't reverse changes made by rooting, you needed to reflash stock firmware before relocking.
Depending on the model it likely isn't good, every OEM does things a little different.
Sent from my Moto E (4) using Tapatalk
but I tried to install an update and not a flash that you are not allowed to install
