Disable hardware mirroring MX Player? - Transformer TF300T Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys. Used to be able to turn on hw decoding and the video on the tablet would turn off while im viewing on my tv via micro hdmi. Now no matter if i turn it off or on the video still plays on the tablet and if i put the screen to sleep it does the same on my tv which is pointless. Anyone have an idea? Thanks. 4.2 jb for me.

I didnt think older version of apps were available thru the play store. I have to check what version is on my phone as well.

Took 1.7.11 off my phone, installed it on the tf300t and the same thing happens. On my tablet i had 1.7.14 but uninstalled.

Netflix

I have an unmodded stock ASUS TF101 32gb version running 3.2 and I still get the 12001 error trying to launch Netflix. Anyone know what 12001 means? Does anyone with an unmodded Transformer have Netflix working?
Netflix does not work on the stock TF at the moment.

Correction: Netflix does not work on unrooted TFs.
Well...? Any links for proof?

Links for proofs? >_> Other than the little teaser note on the asus website, no one has ever said that NetFlix officially works on the TF (although I guess there were some less official sites that confused the rooted with the unrooted).

Lol what do you mean links for proof?
Unrooted: You get Error 12001.
Root and replaced the .lib file: Your Netflix work.
If you won't take the 10+ pages of a Netflix fix thread then I don't know what would be considered proof for you.
@baseballfanz: Some people are "crazy" and like running Stock ROM + Superuser.apk

Bright House TV now on Android -- Won't work if you're rooted...

If you're a Bright House TV subscriber, you can now watch live TV at home on your Android device. This has been available on the iPad for a while now, and is available for iPhone now as well.
Problem is, it WILL NOT work if your device is rooted. And it says, "You can't use this application on a rooted device." (Or something along those lines)
I even tried Voodoo's temporary unroot with no success. Can the apk be modified to bypass the root check?

Wow, that works great. Just tried it out on my Touchpad running the latest nightly on CM9. So far so good... Thx for posting.
Apparently, it doesn't work on the EVO 4G LTE, either. I jut got it a couple weeks ago, and I haven't been able to get it working. I'm not even rooted.

[Q] Do I have the right version of the Play store?

Hello,
I am beginning to wonder if I have the right version of the Play store on my Xoom.
I am thinking I have an older version/mobile version because the font is very large, in fact, it's an eyesore.
Here is a photo of the Play store once I open it:
http://i.imgur.com/UFRXs.jpg
And here is when I search for an app:
http://i.imgur.com/3pMBc.jpg
Looking at that photo, it doesn't look too big, but when you hold the tablet in front of you, it looks massive!
http://i.imgur.com/MwoK9.jpg
This is still quite large, but much better looking.
Also, another question, shouldn't the beta Chrome browser not be there? I don't see it.
I did a factory reset a few days ago, and when I opened play (if I recall correctly) it said it was updating to a new version, but said there was an error.
(I have not rooted my Xoom (yet ) so I cannot take screenshots)
So, is this the right version, and if not, how can I update?
Thanks! :good:

Ok, thanks. I'll root it later today maybe, now that I got the SD card out.
I should be able to get an ICS ROM then, right?
EDIT: Wait, I just remembered something.. Mine is the international (if that's what you call it) version, as it has no Verizon branding on it, and I have no contract either. Will I get an OTA ICS update? When did it come out for the rest of you?

Yes. Chrome is for ics. To get it, you need to be rooted. With market enabler, select the american t mobile market and search for it. It is there as beta version.
To root, which xoom type is it? Mz60x?
For the best rom ever released for xooms, it is from team eos.

Yeah I don't see a link for the 6210 either, only the P6810 and the P1010.
Uploading to my dropbox, will post when done.
While its loading, to get ready you need Odin, I suggest paid from the market. Extract the zip. I used ES File Explorer.

Capacitive button remapping.

Hi all,
I'm new the the OPO having just left the Nexus line after a long time.
I'd love to use the capacitive buttons but really hate how they're opposite to the Android guidelines. Is it possible to remap them so they're the same as the Android on screen ones?
TIA.

Ah but it requires root :/
Root, and unlock bootloader and Install the latest Oct. 21st verion of SLIMKat and be over it.
You have so much customizations under a super clean and LIGHT ROM. In fact, most of what Android Lolipop is coming out with has ALREADY been out on custom roms ages ago.
Think of it as Google finally taking ideas from the development community.

Bro, theres hardly any adblocker(ad free is what I use) that doesnt need root. Are you telling me you're letting all kinds of tracking scripts/cookies, youtube ads, animated epilepsy inducing garbage steal your time/cpu/battery/data bandwidth?
