So i was out. I go and hit the power button to check the time. The phone went dim, because it was about to turn the screen off. I decided to check Facebook. I went to unlock the phone, phone just restarted. It kept restarting. I pulled the battery and put it back in. Same problem. Then I went into hboot and saw a message about voltage, which no longer shows up. I hit the option to go into recovery and phone just restarts. When plugging in the charger, I get an orange light for about 4-5 seconds and then it goes off. It was working with no problem and i get this problem smh. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi
greetings when you plug your phone to charger does the orange LED fluctuate(blinks) or stays on
if it fluctuates it means you phone is not getting enough voltage from the charger, you have problem in adapter as my LED light used to blink and after changing the adapter it whent.
try switching charger means use wall charger instead of pc or vice versa

when i plug the charger, the LED light is solid for about 4-5secs and then goes off. Now that you mentioned it, about a couple of months back, i got that issue where the LED light was blinking; but haven't had that problem since.

the strange thing also, is that, when the phone is on to a charger, the phone will turn on by its self and reboots.
Hi
Try to put a packing(hard cardboard, sheet of paper folded) between the batter and the upper corner making the battery contact good

That didn't work. I was able to get a spare battery and get the same problem. Phone boots up to the white htc screen and then just reboots again.

Hi. I have a S-OFF'd, T-Mobile USA Sensation, Im using Leedroid Sensational 1.0 (cwm 4.0.1.5). My phone died, I tried to reboot it, it did turn on for a few seconds. When trying to charge it, it flashes the led light quickly, progressively becoming slower, then the screen flashes white then sits at a blank, black screen for a few seconds, then seems to turn off (screen turns off and led light stops showing up). The device doesnt get hot, so it cant be the charger overheating. I also cant boot into HBOOT. Any ideas?
EDIT: Left it on the charge all night, still does not turn on, it's got to be that the charging issue is still present (or actually, worse) in CWM 4.0.1.5.
EDIT2: I have tried rebooting it via adb, but the computer doesn't detect it.

Yes CWM 4.0.1.5
Mine did this out of the box, I'm just now trying to get something out of it. Otherwise this pos is going back to htc...
Its worth mentioning that there is a red infared type light above "htc" that fades with the red l.e.d.

Yes, I have the same issue as of this morning. After installing new CWM. It was charging fine before. Last night I let the battery discharge completely and had it on the charger all night.
When I woke up the LED light was off. Upon unplugging the charger and plugging it back in the LED light blinks (orange) a few times and then it goes off.
I can't turn the phone on at all.
EDIT: Looks like it's the issue with the latest CWM. Here is another thread with the same problem.

Think this would work? It charges the battery externally.
Yea it would work externally, provided your battery is ok... Buy a battery just to be sure. They have always come with atleast a trickle of charge in my past experiences. If it boots, flash the stock pyramid ruu. If not, id say either the new battery is dead (rarely) or your sensation is dead. Or buy an external charger, then send it for repair.

Reading other users posts, I think this is an issue from CWM 4.0.1.5, not a hardware issue, but thanks for letting me know.
Im currently rocking the same setup thanks for letting me know about this ill keep an eye on my battery life. Until ClockWorkMod fixes itt
Yup same issue here. Will be buying new battery and/or battery charger to resolve.

I bought a few batteries and an external charger just in case my battery is also fried, although be aware that most of them on the net look like cheap china batteries, so they probably aren't actually 1600MAh.
I honestly think this is BS. It's costing me $16 just to get my phone to boot, I hope Koush or someone else can actually fix the charging issue by CWM 4.0.1.6.
Definitely CWM issue. If your battery is completely discharged, as mine was this morning, here is how to charge your battery without the phone.
It does work. I just charged mine enough to boot up.

Hi.
My sensation wont turn on. It was low on battery, and suddenly it went black. When i connect it to a charger, nothing happens, only sometimes the backlight turns on.
I have tried another battery, and that wont work either.
I had cm7.1.0 kang7, and it has been fine all the time until now.
Cant find it in adb or fastboot.
Is it a brick, or are there something i not have been thinking of?
How long have you let it sit on the charger undisturbed

No. If i pull the battery and leave it out for some minutes, the screen backlight turns on when i plug it in again and tap the powerbutton. Then, it stays on for a couple of minutes, before it goes all black again.

Hmmmm, that's weird... You might want and tell them what's going on and see if you can get a replacement under warranty... With it not booting up, you shouldn't have to worry about them finding out that it is rooted, if yours is

Did someone find a solution to this? A friend of mine's One S had exactly the same issue..Also recharged for something like 5-6 hours but never turned on again..suggestions?
Only thing you can try is to boot into 'Fastboot' and try reboot from there, not saying it will work but worth a try cuz mine did the same thing 2 days ago and mine was cuz battery dropped lower than 2% while messing around on computer

Are you using cwm recovery? If so boot into fastboot and flash twrp. There is a bug with cwm that won't boot the phone while the battery is dead...the led light just flashes and occasionally you will get the screen flash. Unplug the phone from charger and pc, hold volume down + power to enter bootloader then plug into pc to fastboot the twrp recovery.

I had the same problem a loooooooooooooong time ago. Plug it in, wait for it to have a solid orange LED. Then try to power it on. If that doesn't work, give it a couple more minutes then do a soft reset. If that doesn't work, then you, sir, have a very plush paperweight.

I have changed my battery with the battery of the One X+ of 2100 mah, if you read here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1888741 many people have succesfully done this, anyway in my case the battery was completly discharged ( zero power ) and when I plug the phone to the charged I got this exact situation: orange blinking led with the screen flashing sometimes. I can enter inside fastboot with the charget pluged it but I cannot start the device. I have left the phone connected to the charger for a lot of hours but it doesn't charge. What can I do?
On Monday night I used the Juopunut bear S-OFF method successfully and then installed ClockworkMod Recovery and Cyanogen Mod 10. It was working like a dream I absolutely loved it. I restarted it many times etc and it worked completely fine, I had zero issues. However last night, I turned the phone off and then plugged it in to charge. When I woke up this morning I cannot turn it on, no matter what I do. When I plug it in to the charger the orange light turns on for about 1 second and then turns off. Is my phone bricked? Is my battery dead? Thanks in advance

It works!
After letting it charge for about 20min while the orange led blinked on and off every second I unplugged it, held down the power button, and the beautiful HTC logo illuminated across my screen. I'm now up and running and the device is charging. I'm very glad I didn't buy a new battery for $40. I'm hoping this will never happen again but if it does I won't be alarmed. If anyone out there is having a similar issue do not fret!
Problems with HTC Sensation
My HTC Sensation has become unusable due to faults that have recently developed. I sent it off to HTC but apparently it has 'water damage' even though I've always been incredibly careful with it and never dropped it in a puddle or anything.
I'm new to this website so I'm not sure how to go about getting advice.
If someone could help me on how to get some answers it would be much appreciated.
Thank you.

Hi all!
This morning I turned off the alarm, at that moment I think I had around 30% battery.
One or two hours later I found the phone turned off, so I supposed the battery went away.
So I connected the wall charger and after a while then I tried to turn it on.
When I did that, Back, Home and the other key started to blink. I remembered that already happened once, so I tried to press volume down + turn on button (or I tried to press the turn on button alone). And I did it for 30 seconds.
The keys stopped blinking and the red light turned off. Nothing else happened, no screen, no lights...
I left the phone connected to the charger, without light. Then I tried to press the turn on button again for 30 seconds, and the red light appeared.
The thing is, if I disconnect the charger, the red light keeps on, unless I press the switch button for 30 seconds and it gets off.
I don't know what to do, I supposed that maybe it's a qhsusb_dload case, but I have no idea.
I appreciate any assistance on this!
Regards,
Dani

Even if the red light keeps turned on without being connected to the charger? It never happened to me.

Yeah just make sure you leave it on charge for a long time before trying to turn it on.
If that doesn't work, plug it into your pc and see what comes up in device manager.

I have tried connecting it to the computer but was not recognized, no new device, nothing.
Stop messing with it, and just leave it alone to charge for several hours.
Hi guys, thanks for the replies.
I left it charging all night, and tried a moment ago and still not working.
i find weird the thing that it has like "2 modes"
- red light turned on all time, even if it's not charging (I left it charging in this mode)
- red light off (now I'm charging it in this mode)
I can switch the light by pressing the volume down + power button for around 20 seconds.
I'm going to try charging it connected to the computer.

If you are trying to get into bootloader, you actually have to release the power button (after pressing it for a few seconds) while still holding volume down. Don't release volume down until you see the white bootloader screen (or you get tired of doing it, and decide its not working).
Also try to get into bootloader while the wall charger is plugged in. There was at least one guy that had a similar issue, and the phone would not power on no matter what he tried, until he tried bootloader with the charger connected. Weird, I know. But worth a try.
I left the phone charging all night long, and it's the same... nothing.
I would analyze if it's a QHSUSB_DLOAD case. I'm downloading ubuntu.
If it's not, I think I'm gonna dissasembly the phone and see if there's something disconnected.
Any ideas are welcome, later I'm going to upload a video.
What method did you use to try to power it on?
Sent from my HTC One XL using xda premium
I have tried just pressing power button for 10 seconds, then I've tried pressing it for 30 seconds.
Then I've tried pressing volume down + power for a few seconds, then release the power while keeping volume down, for a couple of seconds. Nothing,
Then I've tried with 30 seconds and what I see is that the red light is switched off when I do this.
What worry me most is that the red light keeps on even with the charger disconnected.
Short video:
Short video showing that is not entering to fastboot

Long video showing that is not entering to fastboot and the red light gets off
Hi guys,
I left the phone 10hs connected to the computer instead of the wall charger and today the red light is blinking.
I've read that is due a very low battery charge, but I've left it charging for 10hs or more, how could it be??

I have tried connecting the phone to ubuntu and executed lsusb from terminal.
Listed a couple of usb devices but not the phone.
It's difficult to be certain that its hardware but typically the phone would return to its normal state after a long charge. I recall another person who was also not able to return his to a normal state in the sane situation as you and he had to send it out. Yours does not display the same qualities of a phone stuck in qdl mode.
