The battery life last the usual time.
It all depends how many services you have connected.
So if you use the 3G network, Wifi and GPS all day, it will last 24h.
Otherwise, if you don't use them that much it can last 2 full days, maybe 2 days and a half.
The phone itself is good. Having a quad core phone with 1gb ram just for $199.99 is not for everyone.
The phone is very fast and the display has a nice quality (great resolution).
Some parts could be better, like the wifi and gps antenna. The wi-fi antenna doesn't have the range as it should be..but it is ok.
The phone definitely worth its price.
The factory only produced 200 for the first batch. And they are already almost sold. So if you could buy one you can consider yourself a lucky person.
So it all depends how do you use the phone and how often.
The main battery draining responsible is the huge display it has.

Capacitative buttons?
I was considering getting this phone but am curious to know if it has full home, back, menu buttons, it looks like it just has one.

I'm still waiting on my i9 to arrive but I have a ZP950+ that only has one hard button similar to i9. With the large display I find that the soft buttons don't take up much screen real estate and I rarely use the hard button.

Any updates about the phone?

The Android version of this phone is really 4.2.2?

can anyone show me how to flash the rom on i9 step by step? is there any tool requirement for that? thnk u

Looking forward to my device arriving in the next week then I'll be following this thread very closely

My arrives within 8 days ...
I look forward ...

I received my I9 a few days ago and it came installed with Android 4.2.2 but it was difficult to use with just the back button so I installed "I9-XUNI-0410v5ok" 4.2.1 version from http://bbs.ydss.cn. This has the virtual soft keys and is much nicer to use.
Everything is working great except for 3G data. Unfortunately I didn't check this on the original version and I've somehow deleted the backup I made. If anyone has a link to the 4.2.2 software I'd appreciate it.
I've tried a few roms now and the bands available for GSM and UMTS have been different so I guess it's a firmware issue. I need to be able to use WCDMA-GSM-900 to get 3G and faster data. If anyone knows how the available bands are set please let me know. The engineer mode has the one I need greyed out.
Apart from the above issues this is a very nice phone and is better value (~$80 cheaper) I think than the ZP950+ that I also have.

Great to hear from someone who has got one, can I ask how is the GPS reception and general WIFI/mobile signal strength? The MTK6577 phones had problems is the 6589 any better?
Thanks
Si

GPS is really quick once it's setup to use EPO and GPS-A. Just yesterday I was surprised that it locked onto 8 satellites in 11 seconds indoors. WIFI/mobile signal strength are same or better than other phones I have(or had). I've never had a 6577 phone so I can't compare.

Did anyone buy their I9 from goophone.hk? If so could you please register on http://bbs.goophone.hk/ and register your phone on there and download the latest I9 4.2.2 software.
You may need to use Google translate but it's on this page: http://bbs.goophone.hk/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=6345&extra=page%3D1%26filter%3Dtypeid%26typeid%3D65%26typeid%3D65

I don't know of any non-chinese recovery for this phone as yet but it's not too difficult to use if you are familiar with CWM.
For radio take a look at this thread: ZP810 3G fix

This fixed 3G for me.

I received my goophone i9 yesterday and everything seems great so far. I'm just looking for a step by step guide to install the virtual soft keys. This is my first android phone and didn't even realise they were missing untill a friend asked me about them

Yet another iteration of this device

Looks like our friends over in Italy will soon be flooding the site looking to replace the stock ui, and roms.
Hopefully Olivetti will release a higher version of android than 2.2 (crossing fingers for 3.0), but by the video it had that same tnt ui we all hate.
Olivetti Olipad 100 gets unboxed and handled in italiano (video)
Noticed they had flash as they were using youtube, so why dont we have ours yet, its the same tablet isnt it, so if there one has it, why has our one not been released ?

There you go good luck!
The Olipad might need a sub-forum - it's not 100% the same as a GTAB. Its more like a zPad T2.

If you notice on the video is seem to have a SIM slot on the bottom. Having Data (maybe cellular) ability would allow it to be Google certified, I guess.

Questions about everything which is not related to Samsung Galaxy R

Hi friends, I opened this thread because i'm in great doubt and i need your help. This one thread will be deleted if it needs. If this thread do not violate the rules you can ask your questions...
My question:
Which galaxy tab to buy P6200 or P6800 ???
Which is better demonstrated, price is not the problem. If you have some links to comparative tests leave them here. Tnx
p.s If I broke a rule tell me I will seek to delete this.

For that you're right, but somewhere I read that P6200 get better grades.
What about the screen, which showed better ? I may pick up p6800 because of 800 x 1280 pixels and in p6200 is 600 x 1024 pixels.
What do you think about this ? can take it for 200$ less than P6800.
The main question is whether the gains ICS ?
http://www.gsmarena.com/motorola_xoom_mz601-3834.php
Friends I decided to take P6800 Galaxy tab 7.7, but still need a small help, can someone tell me this: When link is placed on the facebook page is it show like on computer ( to open a image of the link ) or show as on mobile phone ( just link is showing, no image of it ) I hope I was clear .... because on some phones it only show link when it is published( try to publish something on fb page if you have it and see whether they leave only a link without an image ). This is important to me because I advertise sites on fb and if there is no picture in the link fewer people will watch the content and this would be a big problem..... Thank you in advance

I saw that, but to me it is not necessary because I would not use it as a phone, I would use the phone for calls, I would use the internet over the phone via portable wi-fi hotspot, or via wi-fi at home and the rear camera, I really did not need it again because the mobile is with me all the time wait to see what will be the final spec. if the price is 200-250$ would be acceptable. Just wondering build quality for that price. I read somewhere it will be a display of over 200ppi that would be great

Looks like it might be something related to your gps. Did you do any software mods to your phone like custom rom/kernel or running scripts..? Also try clearing cache it might help. Use something like 'app cache cleaner'.

think about it, why the price has drop very fast?
take risk by yourself.
I solved the gps
the gps works as long as the cellular network disabled.
I could put in airplane mode and turn wifi and gps.
I had the same problem.
should be for safety that the GPS does not work while the cellular network.
Thank you very much, the airplane mode + GPS trick is very helpful.
Besides the GPS (safety?) issue I think the F-02E is excellent for the price. A waterproof 5" 1080p with quad core cortex A9 for $300 is a good deal. I have not noticed Google Maps being inaccurate and also I have had no restarting issues when the network signal is low.
Small sensor camera with 16MP and it is not going to be pretty. Isn't that what DSLRs are for? Also love that I can hop into a pool with the F-02E no worries. :good:

I really agree that Arrows X F-02E is a perfect phone but you need to understand and find the best solution to improve.
I just rooted my phone and remove all removable DOCOMO applications, then install Startup manager to disable not necessaries applications to start with system.
Lastly, I use 3G manager to control my data network that inactive while phone in idle state with NX! eco feature.
Now I can improve my phone battery without restarting!!! ^^

As I told before, I think most of DOCOMO service is the cause of this problem.
Just root and use start-up manager to remove all suspected app from DOCOMO first. Then use 3G manager to disable data network after phone idle. Lastly, use NX! eco to adjust power consumable.

I think I have found the solution to this problem. You have to get a 128k sim card and it wont restart anymore. I got one yesterday and it hasn't restarted at all. Every company should have 64k, 128k, or higher sim cards, just ask for one that is 128k.
Hopefully that helps!!

Basically, backup(!) including internal 'sd' partition, install meteos-mtk6589-rom-edit-4gb-en.apk (linked above) and run, select partition size, reboot into recovery, wipe data, then for me I had to format /system else restoring nandroid failed. Finally, restore backup, reboot, mount as usb storage, format the internal drive in Windows, then dismount and I then formatted Phone Storage in Android before copying back everything to that partition.

Shame, such an empty thread.
Today I would like to contribute some information.
I own a GT99 for about a month. Overall I am very happy with the phone, but the GPS performance was really not good at all. I tried every software fix I could find on the Internet. Things improved a little bit but the result was still not good enough. Then, inspired by a video on You Tube I started looking on the hardware side of the story. To cut it short: Connect a approx. 10 cm long fine wire to the GPS antenna underneath the back cover and the phones GPS comes to life. No longer intermittent reception and the first fix is normally under 10 seconds now.
Cheers

Glad it worked for you too.
In the meantime I am convinced, this little modification also helped with the WiFi throughput. Seems to download a lot faster with the "enhanced" antenna. :good:
In any case, I recommend this to all GT99 users. It is quite harmless (you don't even have to dismantle you phone) and it really makes a difference.

Cheers

Sounds good. Could you post some links to video or pictures on how exactly that should be done?

Nope, all find for me. Might be worth checking logcat and seeing what's causing it to reboot.
Has anyone tired the MobileUncle Tools app to change the volume levels on this GT99? I've set most correctly but I can't seem to find what controls the speaker when Google Now voice search 'dings' or reads aloud the results, it's painfully loud. Any pointers?

I did try it with logcat, but unfortunally nothing....

Hmm, there must be something. Only thing I can suggest is completely wiping (after backing up) everything, reflash the 802 rom and just use the minimal sim card, google account etc and see how it goes, slowly adding stuff back in.

I wiped and installed Coincity 1.3.
Somewhere I read that there is a 1.4???
So far so good. No reboots. We will see.
There is even a 2.0!
But don't know how good it is.

Samsung Galaxy S7 Snapdragon G930F (MT6580) getting to Factory Mode instead of Odin

Device: Samsung Galaxy S7 Snapdragon G930F (MT6580)
Kernel: 3.10.72
Android: Marshmallow 6.0.1 (possibly partially unlocked)
I got the phone from outside seller, the problem I am having is :
* Battery drain out in 4-6 hours even without any use
* Not getting new updates
* I see malware com.ovs.themes.slicers (Kiss me, beach kiss) and not able to remove it since not able to get it full rooted (McAfee detect it but not able to remove it)
* GPS not working even its enabled.
I want to root the device or flash with BTU rom but not able to get into Odin mode every-time I tried to get to Download Mode(Odin mode) it take me to "Factory Mode", I tried all way to get into download mode but none helped.
* Key combination: Vol - + Home+ Pwr
* Adb reboot download
* Restart phone and hold Vol - + home
Note: using Vol+ I can get into recovery mode but not download mode
I just wanted to mention, its working fine for Call with any Carrier.
Please help!!

The G930F is the international version with the Exynos and not the Snapdragon, which one do you have?
You bought a FAKE S7. It will never be compatible with odin and S7 firmwares.
Yep its a fake, the mt6580 is a mediatek processor most commonly found in cheap Chinese devices.

Thank you so much Travis Bickle, kykint, gsmyth for quick response
@travis it says Snapdragon
So looks like I got cheated by the guy and now stuck with this Chinese clone of S7.
Is there anyway I can root it and get rid of that Factory Mode and the adware?? As rest of the phone is really amazing, quality of picture, sound/video quality, fast charging and performance except the battery life.
So if I can remove the adware and get it rooted the phone is still usable for few years.
Please suggest.!!

One thing I could suggest is to disable a few apps from your phone. Check for the presence of SystemLocker and GoogleVending - that might account for most of the malware showing up especially when wifi is enabled.

You're welcome! There might be a few more depending on the ROM used. If you could give me the boot.prop and/or system folder I might try on coming up with a fix.
Oh and out of curiosity, can you take a pic or two of the phone in question? Usually with fakes they come with a slightly smaller screen hence the borders and/or thicker bezels. That's one tipoff with a fake Samsung device compared to the real thing.

Would you be so kind enough to take a pic of the bottom of the phone? Right now I somehow bricked my phone and I am looking for someone kind enough to dump a similar ROM for me.

The gap between the top of the home button and the bottom of the screen looks too big on that phone, it's much closer to the screen on the S7 (G930F)

Hard to tell from those pics, just turn it on and see if it has a thick black bezel around the screen like this one on the right, if it does then its a fake https://i.ytimg.com/vi/AzKnmffM2K4/maxresdefault.jpg

Do any of you all know anything about this one?
They claim it to have a "real" 820 Snap in it.
...I think at best case, a octa MTK and of course everything will be plastic.
G930f have sd820?
Enviado desde mi E6603 mediante Tapatalk
The real Samsung g930 phones have 820 (or Exynos in variants), The site I posted is a clone phone, that claims to have the real 820 snap processor in it. I am wondering how/if it can be true????
There are many ways to distinguish from a fake to a real s7, just youtube it.
- The fingerprint scanner on the fake one works with any fingers
- I bet the antutu score on the fake will be significantly lower than the real due to cheap outdated hardware
- battery, as you already know, is terrible on the fake
- No heart rate monitor on the fake, even if there are, it will just read random fake numbers
- The print on the box and manual of the fake are significantly lower than the real in terms of quality print, and even content are not the same.
- The fake one will display false specs on every monitor software such as 4.00GB ram (when it actually has like 512MB or something stupid like that) and snapdragon CPU when it actually has a MediaTek chinese cpu

Looks like we have a slightly different device then; mine had the microphone pinhole on the other side. And yeah, I am still looking for that damn Z6U030HA_V101En firmware. Haven't heard from anyone with the same ROM so far. :/
Friends,
Finally, I was able to get details for the phone its HDC S7 which is clone of Samsung S7, I was able to locate ROM for it on needrom and able to flash it.
Now the problem that I found is the phone doesn't connect to T mobile 4G LTE network, its only showing 2G and that is causing the GPS issue.
I am able to see AT&T 3G so looks its only Tmobile that has issue with this phone, I tried to add network ID myself but that didnt helped. Do anyone know if there is working solution for HDC S7 4G LTE network issue? Or suggestion on any alternative ROM for HDC S7 G930?
Hi, I have the same phone and I need the firmware because I flashed a wrong one. Can you give me a backup firmware from this device? Thanks
