im going to make an icon pack that i might sell on the play store or most likely just give away . so i was wondering if anyone had any ideas on what i should make .

not that i know of. Your gonna have to go through all the files and figure out what files go where. Sorry I know it sucks but at the same time its part of the learning process.
ya. download a theme and start seeing what icons and stuff they changed. That's the best way to get acquainted. Good luck! It's fun and addicting. Feel free to hit up cbarlan or myself if you have questions. We'd be more than happy to help! God bless!

One piece of advice as you get into this...
Take note of the approximate filesize of whatever you are changing and try to save it in png-8 or png-24 with as few colors as possible.
I have made some taskbar icons and after the first couple sets it was weeks later that I realized the originals were less than 400bytes and the ones I made were like 1.5 to 2.5 KB!!! May not sound like much but it adds up.
PhotoShop's color replacement tool will save you hours!
Most of the stuff u r going to change will be in com.HTC.resources.all and also framework:-res .apk. not all of them but a lot. They will be in the "drawable" folders that are in the res folder. Hope that helps u start.

Hi there people ive been playing around with some icons for my phone thats running a miui rom. I am having problems on naming the icons i make for example i made a icon for the game "Nano Panda" and i thought i would simply need to name the icon after the app and place it in the right folder but this doesn't seem to be the case. Could someone enlighten me on how this works.
It was kinda hard to explain my problem so sorry if it sounds stupid lol

ok ....so i bein trying to modify my apps trying to make the back ground transparent so heres the problem i dont know how to make it transparent i have read gides on how to make apk transparent but non of them talks about how to make the background transparent ..i read this gide that i have to delete the background but than when i put it back the background it white ....so i dont know what to do im really looking forward to this so plz help me if yall know how to do this >>>>> thanks..........i know i put another post of this in the other forum but i need help and nobody replying i know yall bussy im sorry!!!!!!!!!!!
i assume u know how to decompile the apk... 2 ways to do this you can do it in the xml the part that refrences the background image it also has the dpi settings for the background in it color what not u can add the transparency setting for it to..
or you can take your image in photo shop or equivlent and change the layer of the image to transparency and then adjust the hue of the transparency to make it lighter or darker depending on the color save it and put it back in the apk
