(MOD) (Touchwiz JB) Samsung Galaxy S4 statusbar - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Themes and Apps

NOTICE: Well, its hard, this was my first mod, zai89 did this mod in a flasheable zip, dont need to use the Tweakbox or something. You can get it from here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2220238 . So because this, i will not suport this anymore, sorry! And thanks for everything!
¡Hi everyone!
I've managed to make the S4 statusbar theme by modding some systemui.apk resources.
I dont know how to make a flasheable ZIP, so i will upload the apk, just replace it on ROOT/SYSTEM/APP (Or ROOT/PRELOAD/SYMLINK) and set file permissions (If required), then reboot! Systemui.apk is attached!
How to make it transparent:
First, install Xposed Framework from here.
Install the apk and then tap on "Install/Update", grant root access:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Reboot.
Now, download Tweakbox from here and install.
Go to Xposed Installer, tap on "Modules" and enable Tweakbox. Reboot again.
When it finish boot, tap on Tweakbox app, tap on Statusbar:
Set background color to fully alpha, and clock color to white, go back and reboot!
Note, if you get a black statusbar after reboot, just pull down the notification bar and whoala! it cames transparent.
Time for some screenshots!
Fits with every wallpaper:
It's black when you enter an app, no more ugly white under white icons.
Tested on XXLSZ, ZSLM5 and JPLSF (thanks to Warnahly for testing) and working fine. I've compared some SystemUI from diferent builds and no noticeable changes so i guess this mod its universal for every JB Rom (NOT LEAKS!)Features:
-S4 White Icons
-Transparent statusbar on Touchwiz, black statusbar on apps
-Prevent screen burn-in: As we know, the Super Amoled screen is like very early LCD TVs (Or plasmas), when an image is persistent for a lot of time on the screen, it will burn in (Temporary or Permanently), showing a shadow of the image. Samsung changed the black statusbar from ICS to gray in Jelly Bean, to reduce this phenom, but it still there. With the transparent statusbar, it shows the wallpaper instead of a black, persistent statusbar, so this phenom will disapear!
-H+ icon changed to 4G: Some countries recognizes the HSPA+ connection as 4G (NOT LTE), so, ive changed this icon. (I will add later other Systemui without 4G icon)
I know Tweakbox did almost all the job, all credits go to Xposed Framework and TweakBox developers. I've just edited the SystemUI to get the S4 icons...
Known Bug
Tweakbox: Statusbar shows behind the Touchwiz wallpaper when the device its locked. I dont know how to fix it, because its a bug from Tweakbox app, ask to the developer if he can fix it. Temporary fix: Get a third party lockscreen like WidgetLocker
Sorry my bad english!

Sure it works.. If you want the transparent statusbar of S4, replace the SystemUI attached and follow the instrucctions in the OP. If you want only the transparent bar (without changing the Parsa icons) , Just use tweakbox without the systemUI attached

Re: (MOD) Samsung Galaxy S4 statusbar (XXLSZ)
Have you manually done any mod to the sysremui.. Or you just used the xposed framework and tweakbox to make the statusbar transparent?

Hello @ all,
i've followed the instructions but i missed the first part to place the SystemUi.apk in the right directory. So i did the instruction with Xposed installer and everything worked fine. Should i move the SystemUi now after all changes?

If it's working then why you want to replace the systemui.apk? Ok now i got it the op didn't done anything it's only the xposed framework and tweakbox that did the job.. Well i have tried that weeks ago

Samsung Galaxy S4's statusbar has WHITE ICONS, instead of grey. That's why you need the modified systemui, because i've edited the Signal bars, Wifi, Bluetooth and 3g/4g icons to the white s4 theme. I know Tweakbox did almost everything, but without the systemui, the result will not be the same as S4.
All credits go to the Xposed Framework and Tweakbox authors.

What permissions do i give it?!?!and i repace systemui right?!?! Sorry for being a noob....

Thanks for the work.
It worked fine on my gt N7000.
But there is one issue. When I go to the lockscreen and apps drawer, the statusbar takes the color of the home screes wallpaper. Take a look at the screenshots.
Could you fix that?

tried it before but prob is that both lock wallpaper and status bar does not align in one sequence both look differ

I know :/ i dont have a fix, its a known bug from tweakbox. Only the developer can fix it by showing a black statusbar while the device its locked. One temporal fix could be installing a third party locker, like widget locker or holo locker. In both the lockscreen wallpaper alings with the touchwiz one. Or, if you want, hide the statusbar on these apps... sorry about that guys, its my first mod.. Anyway i will try to get an alternative.
Sprry my bad english
Edit: also, in the app drawer its not a bug... take a look at this
Minor change at the app/widgets picker buttons, i think i could edit it. I will try when i have time.

@not-i : Yes I've tried that but as tonyking123 said they do not align perfectly. You will notice the difference in the pattern.
@galaxynote2 : Yes I see and anyway thanks for your work. Great work for a first mod!

Hello,
one more question from me.
Does this MOD change also the Network connection icon?
Normaly it shows E,3G,H or H+ , today i recognized that it shows 4G for the first time.

Oh sorry, i ve forgot to say, in some countries (usa, argentina, Spain etc) the H+ connection is called 4G, that's why i changed it. But tomorrow i will change it to H+ again so we dont confuse it anymore. Sorry again!

Im going to update all of these for build 18 and remove the links to prior builds. I will, in each case post the process to build them for upcoming builds. If there is a link to the build 18 version of the MOD then it has been tested working.

ABOUT
This thread is dedicated to the MODs and themes ive created for myself and others. They only work with Jelly 'Beans' ROM.
ZIPS
In this thread there are two kinds of zips, VR Themer flashable zips and ZipThemer zips.
VR Themer flashable zips are just that – directly flashable in your recovery of choice. These special zips modify apks but do not overwrite them. This means that most MODs you have applied we remain after the flash.
ZipThemer zips require extra steps to make them flashable. Once you create the zip it essentally acts like the above VR Themer zip in that it modifies apks but does not overwrite them. This means that most MODs you have applied we remain after the flash. Multiple ZipThemer zips can be used to create one flashable zip.
Here are the steps to creating a flashable zip from a Zipthemer zip:
1. Download ZipThemer from the Play Store:*https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...mlwdGhlbWVyIl0.
2. Download the zip(s) you want to flash and the UpdateEdify.zip.
3. Open ZipThemer app, hit the settings button and select Update Edify. Then browse to the UpdateEdify.zip you downloaded in part 2. Then select configure. Then hit the back button.
4. Press [+Theme] button and add the MOD(s) zip files. Ex. B13_Trans_Bar_Sense.zip
5. Click [Build it!] button, the app will ask you whether to make an undo zip, I recommended yes or always.
6. The app will patch your apps and pack into an update .zip.
7. When done, reboot to Recovery, install the *-update.zip from the root of your sdcard. Ex. Beans13Softkeys-update.zip
8. Reboot and enjoy!
9. If you want to go back to the way it was just boot into recovery and flash the undo zip (because you selected that option right?).

Download: B13 & B14 https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/44601870/Beans 13 MODs/ZT_Template.zip / https://dl.dropbox.com/u/44601870/Beans 13 MODs/B13_SB_Image_VR.zip
Notes: This is a two part MOD. The first requires you to flash B13_SB_Image_VR.zip that enables the use of an image as your status bar. The second requires you to make your own image and create a ZipThemer zip that you can make flashable. Follow the instructions within the 'Show Content'/'Spoiler' button below.
This is a quick tutorial on how to create a ZipThemer zip for your status bar background.
First you need to download the ZT_Template.zip from the above.
Create a folder called Stat_BG_Image and place it in your home folder (or the C drive).
Now unzip ZT_Template.zip into the newly created folder.
Navigate to the folder and view the extracted files. There should be one folder called SystemUI, and one xml called Stat_BG_Image.xml.
Now open SystemUI and the subsequent folders till you are in ~/SystemUI/res/drawable-xhdpi. Inside drawable-xhdpi there should be an image file stat_bar_bg.png. This is the obviously the status bar background image.
Open the image in your favorite image processor and edit to your hearts content. However do not change the size. When you have finished save the image.
Now return to the folder Stat_BG_Image. This part may be slightly different in Windows. The procedure is the same though. Select both SystemUI and the xml, right click and select compress (I think in widows it is zip), name it Stat_BG_Image and make sure the type is .zip, click Create.
At this point you have a ZipThemer zip that is ready to be made flashable.
Move the newly created zip to your sdcard and follow the steps under the section called Zips to make the zip flashable.
Remember you must flash the B13_SB_Image_VR.zip before creating the flashable zip with ZipThemer.

The AOSP signal icons is a ZipThemer zip. Follow the directions in the OP to make a flashable zip from it. If you did, but before you flashed the transparent status bar, you need to do it again.

The charging text is located in an xml somwhere in the layout folder, I just havent found it yet. The google now icon has me scratching my head. There are several icons in the drawables folders that look exactly like the one that needs to be changed but they do nothing. As soon as I fix these two issues ill post it here.
It's tied into whatever Google search you use. Sometimes it's called velvet.apk and some ROMs use a different one. It took me awhile to figure it out on CleanROM. Where exactly was the aosp lock screen clock and weather? I'm presuming it's somewhere in res/layout? Wish they could have just put the images in like the stock lockscreen clock and weather...

I tried modding all those key guard files to no avail. Even the zzz lock screen clock. I'm guessing it might be tied into an XML somewhere... I am running CR 6 with a bunch of mods so it might be different. Thanks though blackness...

Wow! I never would have looked there. I did look in both SystemUI and twframework to no avail.
I havent pined down where the xml change is yet. :laugh: I got frustrated and started changing any hex code that started with '#ff' in all of the xmls from the multiple lockscreen MOD by Diact74. Turns out that there are only three that match that search criteria: keyguard_acer_tab_unlock.xml, keygurad_bb__unlock.xml, and keyguard_screen_htc_tab_unlock.xml. I also changed keyguard_screen_tab_unlock.xml because it had a similar nomenclature as the others. I have a hunch it is in the last xml. I will narrow it down during my lunch break today.
Thanks again for the google now clue.

[Xposed Mod] XBackground - Replace background with Custom Color or Image

Hello Guys,
Here is another Xposed Module I have been working on. It is in alpha stage with a few features for now but will definitely get more as I learn more. I call it XBackground and of course requires the Xposed Framework already installed. I am sharing it now even if it is not fully developed to get feedback and suggestions.
XBackground - is an xposed module that runs on top of the xposed framework and its main function (for now) is the ability to let you change the Holo Dark background and Holo Light background used by some stock apps as well as many apps from the Play Store to any custom image from your Gallery or any color you like. It also can replace your Notification Panel background to any color/transparency or to any custom image from your Gallery.
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
How to install and use?
1. Download and install, then activate it in Xposed Installer and reboot.
2. To use, just run the app and say you want to change the holo dark background, just tick the color and choose the color you want from the color picker, then soft reboot. Or if you want to use a custom image, untick the color option and choose the image from the Gallery then soft reboot.
NOTE: Changing from color to image and vice versa always require a soft reboot. Changing from one color to another color always require a reboot. And changing from one image to another image does not require a reboot.
Credits: @rovo89 for the amazing Xposed Framework. BIG THANKS.
Nice work buddy, keep surprising us thanks :good:
Edit: Working very well using both colors and photo profiles
this is nice..
i can change the color of the background..but i cannot change it with picture from the gallery..
is there any special size for the picture??
hello! you can also use live wallpapers?

thank you, it is getting more and more white for me. one question, i have the option to change the background Holo Dark AND Holo Light - is it possible to switch from Theme Holo Dark to Theme Holo Light (system) with the corresponding textcolour - like tell the system "let´s go, now use the Light Theme with the right textcolour"?
P.S.: just a little typo, not important but a typo in XBackground - there is Notifilcation Panel Background
i tried it on my tab 2 p3100 but its not working is there any chance to get it working bro
edit- working fine on note n7000 thanks for awesome app
Nice mode. Thanks a lot mate. Notification panel mods are working fine but I have trouble applying holo light. Any suggestion?
I'm on ultimate rom v6 and s4 statusbar with 23 toggles.
Great work.but I want to know which apps use holo light theme so that i can check. Notification panel and holo dark work fine.

Hi xperiacle, I would really like this to work but I can't get it to. I'm on cm10.1... I try to change holo background colour to black but doesn't work on reboot. could you please help me out. Cheers
sir is it possible for us to just set the transparency of Holo Dark background and Holo Light background so that its background is our wallpaper?
How can I delete an image which I have set to default background?
After testing: I dont like that an image in the notification panel will be compressed during close. pls add an option?
Is it possible to make the "Wireless and networks", "Device" and etc category background become to other colours or transparent?
Thanks!
Sorry for my English.
Where can i get xposed installer?

Secondly,
If you can't boot(get black screen) then do a clean install and install "ONLY ROM". After flashing,boot into system. Now you are free to flash any mod. You don't need to flash ROM again,just choose your mods. This problem is caused sometimes because of selecting too many mods on first install.

240dpi ModPack
Note-This Mod has all necessary stock Samsung apps modded that doesn't supports multi-dpi like Keyboard, Launcher etc..But there are few apps like Camera, File manager, Gallery that will work in 240dpi by merely setting resolution in Xposed app setting. These apps are not modded because they work fine on setting resolution to default and dpi to 320 in xposed.
Also, this time I've modded launcher a way different. I've set the Homescreen grid size to 4X6 so you won't have the problem with widgets being aligned to either side. Means,now widgets will be centered.
Kindly do not post requests regarding above mentioned apps for modding that can work with xposed. Modding apps takes alot of time and effort. It needs to be flashed again n again to make it perfect and I don't have enough time either. I am busy working with my ROM also so can't invest time for non-required work. But I'll surely try to mod each n every app if I get enough time for it.

Making it transparent will make everything overlap each other..and you wont be able to read text if you have white wallpaper.

Screenshot Functionality statusbarr Mod for G2 Kitkat
Statusbar Screenshot Functionality MOD
Due credit and thanks to @sportik555 who made it for xperia devices but with minor changes and troubleshooting and playing around, I managed to get it for our G2.
Sometimes it becomes irritating taking screenshots using the back button combination and so I thought of adding an invisible button to status bar. Location of this button is to the extreme left where the date is displyed. To the extreme right is the Power/Screen off button. Just so that if you accidentally take a screenshot, I have added a delete button to the Notification for screenshot taken which will allow you to delete the screenshot from Notification directly instead of opening the file manager. The mod has the following features which are inbuilt in addition to screenshot Functionality:
Features
-Cyan Icons
-Hidden lockscreen button on pressing clock in statusbar
-Revamped Silent Icon
Signal Wifi Integrated icons
-Android L Themed Navigation Bar
-Navigation key pressed glow themed to Android L type
- Increased size of date & Format
-G2 home key in home screen
-G3 style notification panel.
-Dual Network speed indicator (statusbar & pulldown)
As this mod is a complex one involving framework-res id knowledge at the moment it has been made for 20B indian rom. I will make for other roms if files are provided to me. PLEASE BACKUP BEFORE FLASHING....
NOW some screenshots to explain what I mean:
Screenshots:
Some might not want the screenshot button so I am attaching two versions of the mod. Take your pick:
DOWNLOAD:
V1- With Delete Screenshot in Notification But No screenshot button
V2- With Delete Screenshot in Notification But & With hidden screenshot button in status bar date
Installation: Simply flash the downloaded zip in recovery and enjoy the MOD
Do press the thanks button if you like my work. It inspires and promotes development

Potato statusbar mod-change clock on the go
POTATO CLOCK MOD---CHANGE CLOCK ON THE GO-NO XPOSED-NO REBOOT
I BRING TO YOU THE POTATO CLOCK STATUSBAR MOD. IT IS BASED ON THE MOD CREATED BY @mariozawa IN HIS THREAD HERE , SO DUE THX AND CREDITS FOR HIS WORK.
I HAVE INTEGRATED THE MOD IN THE STOCK G2 KITKAT ROM LGSYSTEMUI.APK ,THE BEST PART OF THIS CLOCK MOD IS YOU CAN CHANGE THE
--CLOCK TYPE,
--CLOCK PLACEMENT ,
--CLOCK COLOR
--HIDE CLOCK
--AM/PM SIZE
--ADD REMOVE DATE,DAY,MONTH,YEAR,SECONDS....ETC TO THE CLOCK
--TEXTUAL CLOCK IE. TIME IN WORDS...
--PERSONALIZED TEXT
--AND MANY MORE OPTIONS..........
I have included the mod in the stock statusbar so you need not compile decompile.....just flash and you are good to go.
The flashable zip file now takes of odex/deodex roms...so you need not worry, you may be on either one, the mod takes care of it.
After flashing the mod you must reboot and you will see an app called "potatoclock". Open this and do your choice of things to change the clock....
Note-intially the first time you boot the clock might not show appropriately and the code is integrated into the statusbar. But once you open the potato clock and configure all will be well. Also at times the clock tends to refresh so do not worry, all is well
In the original thread the center clock did not work properly and there was overlapping of notifications but i have had this fixed.(perfect centering method)
Best part is that no reboot necessary and you can change on the go anytime
Installation -just download zip and flash in recovery
Reboot.....enjoy the mod
DOWNLOAD
THE LGSYSTEMUI IS DEODEXED AND PURE STOCK WITH SELECTIBLE SLIDERS. USE APKTOOL 1.5.2 IF YOU WISH TO ADD OTHER MODS TO IT....FILE DECOMPILES JUST FINE

no the way he center the clock would not apply to the g3 roms which is why I have had so many problem with trying to center clock on g3
Can i ask why using the whole apks instead of vrtheme engine?
Isnt it better to just decompile and recompile the apks on the fly and just change only the necessary files? Smaller size and probably universal mods.
The mod is running great as I mentioned above. But does it need to be updated to the new 20f version? Any risk?
I haven't received that update if you can give me the Lgsystemui.apk, Lgsystemui.odex lgres.apk lgres.odex and framework-res.apk I can make and post it for download in OP

My bad, I require either your deodexed apk or the entire framework folder for deodexing myself...without that a proper mod wouldnt be possible. Just send me a link to the entire framework folder under /system on your phone.
do you have kitkat style g3 mod without speed indicator?
thanks

As many of you might have already noticed the G3 TweaksBox - an amazing Xposed modul developed by Pierandrea Toti contains from version 1.2 a new feature: UI THEMES (Notification Panel Themes so far).
I proudly provide you with my themes made for the G3TWB. You should be already aware of them from my thread Kickoff's Quick Settings Mod . As of now you can use the themes without flashing the modified LGSystemUI.apk and there is no need to create new versions for the several system variants.
Extended themes come with signal bar icons, simple themes without them. Full themes contain additionally settings, easysettings (Tab view settings), contacts, dialer and incallui. Messages and lockscreen and not themed yet.
THIS THREAD CONTAINS ONLY MY G3TWB THEMES FOR KITKAT.

2. Stage
The development of G3TWB has reached the 2nd stage.
Some weeks ago I asked P_Toti, the great developer of the G3 Tweaksbox whether he could help to create an xposed modul for my notification panel themes. He take my question serious and introduced into G3TWB the Theme feature. This opened a new window for developer and themer the design our beautiful G3 without touching the file system. More important is that the themes are compatible with all software versions.
Recently we are capable to give different theme to the following system parts:
SystemUI(see LGSystemUI.apk)
LockScreen(see LGKeyguard.apk)
Phonebook,InCallUI,TeleService(see LGContacts.apk,InCallUI.apk,LGTeleservice.apk)
Message App(see LGMessage.apk)
Settings(see LGSettings.apk and LGEasySettings.apk)
More here.
Now, I present here my new G3TWB Full Themes
1. Android L theme. This contains:
- Notification panel (my intial Andorid L SystemUI theme)
- Signal bar icons (my intial Andorid L extended theme)
- Phonebook,InCallUI,TeleService,
- Settings (list and tab view both themed).
- Messages (hangouts style)
]
I have not touched the lockscreen yet.
2. MIUI Full Theme. This contains:
- Notification panel (my intial MIUI SystemUI theme)
- Signal bar icons (my intial MIUI extended theme, but some signal bar icons changed to V6 version)
- Phonebook, InCallUI, TeleService,
- Settings (fully themed),
- Messages (beta stage).
I have to thank to P_Toti for his help. No question remained unanswered (night and day).
Special thank goes to hello00, for the Phone application I used his great work as a base. Also many thanks to Ashrockr who helped me to find some resources.
Enjoy the new design of your application. Please report bugs and suggestions!

G3 TweaksBox supports themes for the SystemUi only ATM. Also, this feature is still in the experimental stage. Anyway i scheduled to extend and make it even more powerful in a next release. In the 1.3 probably themers will be able to theme also settings,dialer, and other stock apps. About your request you have also to remember that no one can "port" others' work without their permission. If the creator of that theme want to port it he will probably do it by hisself
Really nice working great on d855

You maybe misunderstood. When a toggle is not active like the Bluetooth it's not filled with the color.Enable the Bluetooth to see the different color.
