[Q] Support for K-touch U2

Hello, I have been searching for this information a while now, so I hope this isn't redundant. I recently bought an android in China, called a Ktouch U2. Yes, it's sad, my ability to read Chinese is very poor, so I have been having a ***** of a time finding a USB driver for this phone.
I want to root this thing, but when I read the step about making sure my adb drivers are installed, or usb drivers are installed, I really have no idea what to do.
My Chinese friend looked and sent me a folder titled Ktouch USB driver, but when I opened it, none of the items are written as apps, just "setup information" and "security catalog" files.
I want to root so I may use my VPN, and then see about downloading apps from Google instead of this cheap Chinese app market that came with the device.
What do?
I want to fix it so that I can just switch out SIM cards when I get back to the States and use it like an ordinary android.
try with superoneclick , and then you enable usb debugging at application>development>usb debug
when you dont know it , see d image
USB Driver
I can't do anything until I get the UBS driver for the device installed on my machine. Problem is, that after I downloaded from the manufacturer, it was just a zip file full of garbage:
msmdm.inf file
tymdm.inf file
tyser.inf file
tyusbser.cat
tyusbser.sys
...
What is this stuff? How do I make that into a USB Driver for my phone?

[Q] Need ADB drivers for a Nurvo RK3066 device

I need to root this device to upgrade the software, but I can't find the ADB driver, so I can't do anything about it.
I've tried all the usual suspects, SuperOneClicks driver doesn't work, neither does the robodobo thingy. Nurvo doesn't have any drivers on their site.
The device self-identifies as rk30sdk, which is pretty normal for the 3066 chipset, I guess.
Anyway, does anyone know of a driver that THEY KNOW will work? If you've done it yourself, that would be great, but please don't just link me to a forum post or name a driver that they think might work. I've already installed five different drivers, I'm getting tired of it..
have you checked if your device have usb debugging checked on and if you can access linux do lsusb and find the device id then go back to windoze and edit an adb usb driver inf file copy one line from the other line then change the device id in it to match your device it did worked for me on old tablets

I don't have Linux, and I understood almost nothing of that...
Under windows you can install almost any android driver regardless of your device, at least i use the same pack for motorola/lg/samsung phones and also some tablets work fine, just needed a different driver for a a13 tablet, but also used a generic driver it was not device specific.

[Q] Clone Korean Galaxy S4 i9500 Fail to identify chipset and usb drivers

Hi,
Have bought a clone Galaxy s4 i9500 phone. Korean Made
Can connect to pc as usb storage device but not as a phone.I am not able to see the operating system files via usb storage just ordinary files. The phone has not any app buttons just a few games preloaded. When connecting to the internet the Baidu page comes up (Chinese)
The phone has limited settings ie Phone settings, Display, Security, Call settings and Connections
Due to this I am unable to check phone components in order to load drivers to connect or to enable usb debugging mode.
Did reset phone and tried many drivers and connection managers.
Phone memory apparently 1.2M? Memory file use presently 884.01k/1.2M
The phone does not have a file manager.
When connecting to a pc the following settings come up, Charging, U Disk and PC Connecting. PC Connecting under under other devices show as Two Usb Devices when connected. I use xp sp3 on the pc.
Downloaded apk programs to pc then to sd card on phone but unable to open them.

[Completed] Windows 10 USB woes

Hi all,
I am a beginning Android developer, currently doing a Coursera course at home on my Windows 10 laptop.
I have Android Studio installed and would love to run my projects on my Samsung Galaxy S5. There is no way though I can get adb (or Windows for that matter) to 'detect' my phone for debugging.
I have my deveopers options and USB options on on my phone, have installed Samsung USB driver for mobile devices, have installed the Windows Media feature pack (as this should give MTP support), have installed Intel's USB drivers for Android (my laptop has a core i5), all to no avail. I've put so much time into this and it is driving me crazy... Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello,
I would like you to visit this thread and follow it, The method works for windows 8/8.1/10. You just need to use the correct drivers for your device.
-Vatsal
Hey, sorry if I'm clueless, I managed to restart in Disable driver signature enforcement mode, but I have no idea where to find the ADB driver. I've installed Android Studio, no idea where it put it...
I searched the drivers from my settings, but couldn't find an ADB driver. Also did a search for ADB Driver.exe, but no go...
Here's another thing, if I go to the Android developers website (oem-usb.html page on developer.android.com, can't post links...) it has instructions for Windows 7 and Vista. It says:
Connect your Android-powered device to your computer's USB port.
Right-click on Computer from your desktop or Windows Explorer, and select Manage.
Select Devices in the left pane.
Locate and expand Other device in the right pane.
Right-click the device name (such as Nexus S) and select Update Driver Software. This will launch the Hardware Update Wizard.
Click to collapse
But when I connect my phone, it doesn't show up in the devices (ther is no Other devices section...)
