Hi Guys,
I had the leaked Froyo build I897UCJI6 running for while until i decided to flash back to stock then upgrade to the offcial 2.2 build via Kies. I had the SMS delivery reports working fine on the leaked Froyo Build, but it looks like AT&T has removed the option again in the official build. Would anyone be kind enough to send me MMS.apk from the leaked version? I need to replace the current one and hopefully it should work fine.
If anyone has another alternative, that would be great as well.
Thanks heaps.
did you find the apk? I need it too.. For some reason, mine force closes everytime. I want to reinstall it and see if it works.
Mms.apk from Gingerbread won't work on Froyo, so I doubt the reverse would work either.

ok im on lightning v4.0.1b3 and i tried to pair my bluetooth and its a no go it wont find my headset or my headphones has anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it maybe
Did it work before? You realize that this is an ALPHA leak and there are going to be a lot of issues/problems with it?
If you're sure the issue is with your phone and not what you're pairing with, you might first try a reboot or a fix permissions in ROM Manager but otherwise, try a wipe (make sure you do a FULL wipe) and reflash the ROM (or a different GB ROM). I haven't heard of this from anyone else
Sorry yall I ment to put this in here I just flashed the new kernel and that fixed it love me some lightning roms

Hi all,
Is there anyway i can get Honeycomb for my Galaxy s i9003.
I heard ICS is not available for i9003.
But what about Honeycomb???
I am now in GB 2.3.6 JPKPE.
Nope.Honeycomb is not available for i9003. I think Honeycomb is only for tablets and so on..not for cellphones. (I hope I'm not mistaking )

Hi,
thanks for the help.
Now i am on ICS 4.0.4 with cm9 rooted with cf root.
Now i just have some doubts....
1. How can i restore my contacts?
Is there any app for it?
Usually what i do is i have a contacts backup file created with kies.
But after ICS instal, kies won't connect so i can't restore my contacts backup.
Is there anyway to do it? I have nearly 500 contacts....
I don't want to sync with gmail app because it will bring some other names than what i saved.
2. I can't find enter button when i am typing a message.
So i can't start a new line unless it automatically comes.....
I checked the k/b settings but no luck....
Any idea???
1. Now that you are on custom ROM.. You cannot connect to kies.. So it's better to use an app to back up and restore your contacts.. As of now you will have to revert back to stock ROM, restore contacts and upload to some cloud server or something like that.
2. There is no enter key while using default message app.. Also no batch mode in messages.. A solution for is is to use other messaging app like handcent or go SMS..

RemICS ROM is based on Cm9.. Hence all problems you face in Cm9 will appear in remICS ROM too.. However I didn't have problems with mobile data, wifi, USB mass storage problems like few of the users..
Personally I like the remICS ROM cuz of its looks and lag free ui compared to Cm9..
Am currently using paranoid Android ROM and the table like feel is good.. You can try that too.. However there are bugs in this too..
For good ROM in ics you can try remICS.. In GB roms u can try titanium ROM (my fav), cleanKpu, clean value pack etc..
I have not tried any miui ROM, do don't know much about that..

Hey all, there has been ALOT of problems with the ICS ROM (Calling Audio due to BB Issues), but I have found a successful rom that is WORKING (Calling Audio) with the LG Optimus G2X 21y Baseband (March 11 2012 BB).
I have not seen a guide out for the 4.0.4 ICS so I wanted to give a complete thread from scratch on how to root your G2X and then successfully installing the EB4.0.4 ICS ROM.
SOME links that are provided are not mine, they are Mhaedo's and r4dn14n7 (root tutorial) and it pays off to use the SEARCH button. I actually ordered this phone last week and I have never learned so much in under a week of reading on this forum. I will continue to update and post pictures as much as college time allows me. Hope everyone enjoys!
-- I want to remind you that I am ONLY confirming that TEXT + CALLING + WIFI is WORKING. (I am still unsure of Bluetooth and Tethering).
*I have also posted a youtube video at the bottom to show that the ROM IS WORKING. It does not show how to ROOT, but please PM ME if you need help, otherwise this thread covers everything.
How to Install ICS 4.0.4 Onto LG Optimus G2X

How do I find out what doesn't work in CM9? Some show stoppers the last time I tried ICS on the G2X was lack of AD2P and cable tethering. Is there a single place I can check?

I did try out CM9 and did not have any success with the new BB (Kept getting the clicking noise while dialing). I can only confirm that EB4.0.4 is working. Unsure of whether tethering is working. It does have a few lag spikes, but that's if I'm blasting the cpu.
Very stable ROM

No, he has a new_baseband.zip file that you flash after immediately after you flash any rom that does not support the new baseband.

The exception is that bluetooth call audio still doesn't work with new March 2012 baseband unless you're on a stock based Rom.
Also to the OP. There is no need to root your stock Rom if you are using NVFlash to flash CWM.
if im not mistaken, a2dp doesnt work with ANY ics rom available for the g2x. i think its in the same boat with the video camera.

Does anyone know if bluetooth audio (paired with the Sync in my Fusion) works with the old baseband? I made the mistake of upgrading the BB when EB fixed their ASOP 4.0.4 for the 21y. After that I noticed that the bluetooth was finally keeping the device rename and was successfully connecting each time the car started up, but had never gotten a call or tried to make one until last weekend. The screeching was terrible. I'll revert back to the 21e baseband if it solves the bluetooth audio problem.
I went ahead and downgraded to 21e today anyway as a test. I'll report back after I test in the car later tonight.

In my About phone menu, i see the last option, Software Version as LG-P999-V21e. But the baseband version has a Date of JUL 15 2011.
I am on stock GB 2.3.3 (rooted and installed CWM 5.0.x.x).
I tried hellfire 1.9 but calls were not working due to the old base band and i got a link to install new base band that i need to flash after rom install. But based on this thread, i can just install eagles blood without any base band update and it should work with my calls?
Pls confirm. I'll try it tonight anyways but if i need to install any other basebad on top of flashing EB, do let me know. Thanks.

Hellfire1.9 is built to work with the new base band. If you are on the V21e baseband you need to install the fix you mentioned for it to work. The fix is not an updated baseband it is just a few files to make the rom compatible with the baseband you have.
Last I checked(havent used an EB rom in a while), EB and most of the other roms available are still built to be compatible with the older basebands with a fix needed to make them compatible with the newer baseband.
So far the only roms that I know have working bluetooth calling with the new baseband are based on the stock 2.3.4 update. There may be some progress with the latest cm10 based roms but i haven't had a chance to check.
Hope this clears it up a bit and doesn't confuse the situation more

in the OP for the Hellfire Sandwich 1.9 thread there is a link under the 1.9 link for the old baseband version
you need to flash that one and not the main edition as that is for the new baseband. not sure if that link actually works being on mediafire and i am at work and that site gets blocked anyway
So all I have to do is download the g2x 4.1 alpha rom and the calls will be fixed? Does it work for simple mobile?

You on froyo? Flash gingerbread kdz first.
Try and flash an alternate kernel or try the app getril, it will suggest the correct baseband that you need for the rom you are trying.
