Note 2 Keyboard Android 4.3 and 4.1.2 - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

I am currently running Android 4.3 deoxed.
I was able to put together a flashable zip that works on Verizon S3.
Update:
Note 2 Keyboard for S3 on Android 4.3 TW only:
Fixed Symbols with long press
http://www.mediafire.com/download/fb7ybrcym636p97/fixsymbols.zip
Updated: Feature Fix
Featurefix will do the following:
1. This will fix the smybols long press in the keyboard.
2. This will add the exit browser under menu of the default web browser.
3. It will remove the Software update option unders setting/about
4. It should also enable camera during call. not tested
5. It will enable the call button on Contacts
6. It will enable the call button on recent calls
7. Extend Speed Dial to 100
Note: I have noticed that after booting to recovery, I lose the symbol fix. I have move the fix to a separate file in this. Also, if you are using exposed and wanam, you might want to disable under advanced, Keep my extra CSC features.
Just say thanks if you like it.

To enable swipe you must turn on predictive text in the keyboard settings, I turn off auto replacement.
then select continuous input under swipe.
The credit for this wonderful keyboard goes to somebody named enewman17 that posted the files on the AT&t forum at the following link.

These are for Android 4.1.2 TW only:
Same keyboard just themed blue.

Note the zip file in the above link does not flash on verizon.
I was able to put together a flashable zip that works on Verizon S3.
So all I take credit for is putting the zip together and not the files.
Just flash in recovery and reboot.

Are they any different?

That one wouldn't work for me.

Oh ok. So do you think thered be any differences between the two as far as looks/functionality?

If you are comparing to the one that comes with the S3 then yes, If you are comparing to the one in the other thread and you got it to work then no. This one has the number keys on top. It will replace the stock samsung keyboard with this and it's still called samsung keybaord.

so i got this to work but the text prediction is just as bad as the s3 keyboard

Will these work on a stock ROM? I have tried both and the Samsung keyboard app just constantly restarts, any ideas?

This is the only one I was able to get to work. The name of the file is

I did get this working on the Verizon S3 (I think I was running cleanrom at the time) You can get the file at http://d-h.st/LFO

[Keyboard] Droid 2 Multi-Touch [Nexus Stock Themed]

Here's the Droid 2 multi-touch keyboard ported by invisiblek that I themed with the Froyo Stock keyboard. It should work on any Froyo based deodexed ROM. This will replace your stock keyboard so make a nandroid backup first. I'm also including the FRF91 stock keyboard. Both files are installed from recovery.
Thanks to invisiblek and enragedpaza for all their help and guidance.
Works great! Thanks for including the stock keyboard.
Great Job it works wonderfully. I do like the white one though. I use it on all my 2.1 devices!
I anyone can port it plain white that would be AWESOME.

Thanks. Much better than the white version. I appreciate it.
having a slow moment here so bear with me .. flashing this replaces stock keyboard .. i got that .. now op stated that he included the stock one also ..
so couple questions
1. if i flash this then flash the stock will i have both or will it just over ride each other
2. is there a htc ime port for froyo devices
thanks for the responses
never mind i used the search button and found my answers ..gonna flash this now
1. If you flash both, whichever you flashed last will take precedence. At the moment it's one or the other sadly.
2. Not sure, sorry
is there a way to install from sd using terminal?
Sorry if this has already been explained elsewhere but, what sorta additional functionality would this offer over the stock keyboard? What are some of the multitouch functions that are possible that become second nature through use of this it you know what I mean?

any way to just install this without removing the original keyboard? guess this version cant just install like a normal apk or like the htc keyboard.

I was wondering the same thing, then realized that it would be better figured out if I just flashed the damn thing myself. I think the stock keyboard is kinda slow, but this keyboard allows me to type more quickly without having to utilize spell check as often. The only thing that sucks about this KB is that there is no customization such as turning off key previews or changing the vibration duration.
Other than that, I wish we had a fully working HTC IME with multi touch (maybe we do, I forgot).
apparently u can hold down shift to cap one letter like on a real keyboard, not sure gonna try it now
works great on leofroyo.
is there a way to disable the fullscreen UI in landscape like HTC_IME ?
Root Explorer
is there a way to install this via root explorer?
I am using the hd2 - with darkstone sense build so i do not have the option to flash via recovery.

[Q] Got a couple of questions about my setup

Hi All,
I have a 727R that I have setup with Touch CWM & Superlite 5.1 ICS ROM.
I do have a couple of questions concerning my setup.
1- Is there a way that I can replace the ATT address book with the default ICS contacts?
2- I have A full version of titanium backup with a folder full of apps from another device that I would like to import into this one. Where do I put that folder for titanium backup to load and recognize?
3- Can I change the phone dialer to the stock ICS too?
4- Why wont ROM manager recognize the CWM touch that I have installed?
Thanks

Ditch SKY ICS and get an AOSP based rom like CM9, Chimaira, or AOKP. That would solve #1 and #3, personally I hate touchwiz at least the skyrocket version of it (My friend has an S3 and that version looks interesting). SKY ICS is a damn good rom but I personally just prefer AOSP, clean, fast, and simple. No added samsung, rogers, or AT&T bloat.
If you do decide to to get an AOSP based rom, you should check out Boobah's mod as one of the many things it lets you do is use inverted gApps (Will fix the ugly white blue colour scheme). Just don't use inverted google talk, it's broken.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1732304
Not sure on your other two questions.
Hi Rabidsmurf,
I would am dumping the touchwiz rom and going cm9 as we speak. I am just annoyed that the 4G icon doesn't work on the aosp, aokp roms that I have tried so far.

Yeah, annoying but a small sacrifice, you could try AOKP or Chimaira, both supposed to be excellent ROMS, they are based on CM9 and will have the same bugs, not sure if they have a 4G icon or not.
Grab one of the CM9 nightlies instead of the Alpha5, it has some extra fixes:
http://download.cyanogenmod.com/?device=skyrocket&type=nightly
I am using the July 2nd 2012 nightly currently, have not tried the more recent ones.
Since you're going AOSP (master race), you may also want to give Instigators Kernel a look see... supposedly it saves battery, I haven't noticed.
It did break my camera though (A common issue) so you will probably want to try a version 2.8 or earlier (Maybe one of the stable ones), that did not have the problem. I am on 3.2.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1721235
Awesome Rabidsmurf, thanks for all this.
Both the Chimera and the AOKP have the 3G icon bug.

No problem, also don't forget about Boobah's mod I linked you earlier (AROMAKoK) it's seriously awesome, and you can use it to customize your ROM after you flash it.
I also reflashed to the UCLE2 radio earlier today the one on CM9's page with the RIL libraries, seems a bit more stable:

Running it on 11/06 CM10 nightly, no issues noticed, aside from the known camcorder issues. The keyboard is pretty cool!
Jesus. That gapps is twice the size of the 4.1.2 gapps and larger than my entire ROM+kernel+modem.
Currently running on CM10 Nov 11 nightly, and I'm having an issue with the clock/timer. When I'm running a timer I am told it stops working any time I leave the app, either by switching to another or just hitting the Home key. Opening up the timer again shows that it is still running. I've also had issues with the phone locking up while sleeping, but I'm not sure if that's related yet.
Any thoughts?

Just had a question. Every time I update my nightly build, I have to reflash the android 4.2 apps (gmail won't be there). Is this normal or does it have to do with how I put the gmail.apk in /system/app after a flash?
You could do what I've done, make your own gapps. Put the Gmail apk into the gapps zip. Start with an existing gapps zip, open (not extract) it, navigate to system/app, delete the files you want to replace and drag/drop the new files to replace them.
Pretty easy if you ask me. I've managed to make a gapps zip that replaces the system font, copies all of the necessary libs for dsp manager, flashes a multi-dpi play store, and flashes some inverted apps that I want. Pm me if you want some tips.

Yes, you should be able to remove things you don't want and add things that you do (be aware, there are some config changes that need to be made if you want to install anything to /data).
I adjusted my gapps file last night to include some of the 4.2 apps, but I'm getting a clock FC every time I reboot, which is strange. I will have to take a step back and add only what I really want for now.
What is what?

What exactly is included in the two links you copied? The first is KDH's gapps package, and the latter is Google Wallet? But when we follow the link to the original post in the GNex forum, the OP also includes "INVERTED 4.2 GAPPS + AROMA BY justin860" which seems to contain far more *and* is inverted?
I'm just trying to understand because I've never flashed anything but the basic 4.1 gapps with CM10, but I'd really like to try the 4.2 stuff and would prefer dark/inverted (for battery life and the sake of my eyes). But I'm confused by the plethora of gapps offerings, even just those in the Gnex post.
Honestly, I don't know what is included. I was just copying the download links to paste here so everyone knew it was available.

I've never used Swype so I can't comment on that. I do like the 4.2 keyboard. I've used TouchPal as well, and I own SwiftKey (haven't seen the SwiftKey swipe version yet), I find them all to be comparable.
Oh swipe is the new thing, I never got into swiping it just seems lazy to me. I use Perfect Keyboard Pro so I can set it up in dvorak layout. It's either that or I talk.

I use CyanDelta app from Playstore. when nightlies are released, it only downloads the pieces I need (avg. 6 to 12 mb). then in CyanDelta settings, you can configure any zip's you want to flash after update. I flash my kernel (kk .12) and this gapps package, minus Chrome.
it really works amazing.
- notifies when nightly is available
- reboots into recovery, installs update
- then installs any additional zips
- then reboots and away you go.
I install every nightly, have had no RR or SOD.
just my two cents.

Has anyone made these inverted? I know they're recent release but I figured I'd ask.

(==)Modified System UI apk for all(==)

This is my personal SystemUI.apk I use on CleanROM. Figured I would share it here, Anyone is welcome to use it or icons etc in it at will.
Most of the icons came from the UOT Kitchen with the exception of the 4G icon, it came from another mod here on XDA, I combined those with some from my wifes Galaxy note and created this cool themed SystemUI apk. Updater zip provided by team nocturnal.
Works with:
CleanROM latest version
Check out the photos below.
Disclaimer: as usual im not responsible for any damage you or your phone may suffer from this flash. Tested and working on CleanROM latest version. If your use another ROM and flash this and it works fine please tell me so I can add that rom/version to the works with list.
Installation:
1. Download modifiedsystemui.zip to sdcard
2. Backup current SystemUI.apk located in system/app to sdcard in a place you can find it and on your pc
3. Reboot to TWRP recovery
4. Flash zip
5. Wipe dalvik/cache
6. Reboot enjoy
If you want to return to your previous systemui.apk simply replace your backed up systemui.apk with 7zip in the zip file deleting the modified one and flash it.

Works great on my phone. No any issues so far.

Tested on official CM 10.0 Stable as well as 10.1 snapshot and still have the exact same issues. It doesn't detect when I'm finished speaking so I have to push button every time to let it know, fc's on just about every request, etc.
I've used S Voice on a GS3 and liked it very much so I really wish I could get this to work. The peeps claiming this works, are you guys on a Touch Wiz based rom?
Prompter: What rom are you on and what did you do to install it...flash or move to system/app, change perms and reboot?

I am on Slim Bean Build 3.0. Everyone has to press the button in order for it to respond, that is the app itself issue. Although, I am not getting the Force Crash issue on every request. It responds like normal after I push the button. I also installed it like a normal apk on Embryo after uninstalling the one that came with it, then made a backup with titanium, went to Slim Bean, restored, and works fine other than having to press the button for it to respond.
Hello,
Can someone test S-Voice with the weather question like "Sunday forecast", "What is the weather today". In my case it does't work and I think the reason is still not working version of AccuWeatherWidget.apk form S4, on our device.
Did anyone have the same problem?
just upgraded to Jelly bean 4.1.2 from ICS, and tested the svoice. The installation was ok but couldn't get it working. it keeps telling me that no connection while I was on wifi and 3G. Any suggestion?

I don't know. I'm getting it too. I will look for a solution if I have time.

AccuWeatherWidget.apk doesn't work for our device
Samsung has somehow blocked the use of this app from any other device except the s4... lots of people in the note 2 forums are working on it with no success :/
