[MOD][4.1.2/4.2.2] OpenPDroid! - EVO Shift 4G Android Development

This is a flashable zip that I compiled from source and patched with the OpenPDroid framework!
Now you may be asking yourself...
What is OpenPDroid?
FFU5y said:
OpenPDroid is a set of modifications to the Android framework and libraries which allows fine-tuning of the data which applications are able to retrieve about your device, your account, your messages, and more. Specifically, it is a Privacy service provider (using the PDroid 1.51 interface) forked from CollegeDev's PDroid 2.0, which is itself an extension of Syvat's PDroid.

In short, OpenPDroid allows you to control access to your data without worrying about permissions.
If you are already on a 4.1.2 ROM, then you MAY flash this over your current setup, it will only replace some core files and add the PDroid Manager application. Make sure to download the rescue package as well if something goes wrong.

Cheers! :good:
Disclaimer:
I take NO responsibility for your actions, but I would be glad to help if anything goes wrong.
Note
It may require a couple reboots before your device completely boots up after installing this. Do not panic, it is normal because we are patching core files here.

Thanks to
BigSplit for answering a TON of questions, so much so that he is probably sick of seeing the words "New Message", and for the initial tweaked CM10! :good:
bilgerryan for making some awesome JB ROMs that this can be flashed over :good:

The die-hard Shift users for still hanging around even after everyone else deserted :good:
Thanks guys :good: :good:

Or if installing for the first time install this over it. before booting up.

Thanks, I'll grab the updated proprietary lib files from here and push out a new AOKP build soon.
Oooo very nice.
By the way, did you patch over 1.88 to update the firmware on your phone? Or still using 1.85 firmware? Based on the other thread it seemed really risky to run the OTA with the newer hboot.

No Bryan modified the updater script to work with a custom recovery then he applied the patches. He said it was a pain in the ass!
I successfully got the 1.88 RUU on with CID HTC__044 but I could not get patch to apply the OTA way :c(

To me Project Butter has a more pronounced effect on the Galaxy Nexus' aging hardware.. I have a Sprint Galaxy nexus (Now retired since going One X) with JB , and the difference is almost negligible. It still stutters in the same places the ICS One X does, too , like in Play store when scrolling down "Top" apps pages.

I can't seem to get LTE with this rom
It comes default with a non-lte apn, I put one in and toggled LTE mode under mobile networks, but it just defaults back to wcdma
Maybe needs the updated radio?
Did anyone contact football to ask if he has the RUU yet? Might make it easier than using the ota.

I tried Jellytime a few times, but I like Synergye and existz's work a lot more. Their Rom's are faster, more stable, better battery life, and better performance. You won't find a better ICS ROM for the Inspire/DHD than existz's ROM. I have been using existz's ROM from the early stages and a lot of his users have been using his rom as a daily driver for months even before MR1 was released.
existz's ROM was the only reason why I did not upgrade my phone a long time ago.

[ROM][JB][JZO54K]AOSP 4.1.2 Pre-Alpha and v.4.2.1 test build

Ok guys, you all know my AOSP 4.0.4 build, now I made a new AOSP build, this time it's JellyBean 4.1.2 JZO54K. Now that I know the method of building I easily built this version. It's still a bit CM10ish (just like AOSP 4.0.4 was CM9 like at the start). Test it out!
broodKernel v1.5 OC is included for now.
(It may contain a lot of CM10 files which aren't required, but this is just a pre alpha, but it fully works!)

Nice work brood
Thanks !!! you're AWESOME !!!:good::good:
Hey brood, nice to see this.
I want to give you a suggestion. Why not try to port this rom to our device http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1810042
which is true aosp, istead of downgrading cm10 and messing around with build files and so on. I think this could make your life a bit easier.
and if you get it to work maybe there is hope to get official support.
(I'm willing to add support for other devices so if you are a developer and willing to add support for your device(s), PM me)

EDIT. Just saw that the creator of the rom only provides the 4.2.1 sources on his github.
hahaha vacation in holland delivers some crazy stuff

Temporary Camera Fix
Attached is a camera fix that is flashable directly over the ROM. All it includes is the camera hw lib and the Gallery apk and the boot.img. Thanks to Darknites for this.
OMG I love you Klin! Testing ASAP. Will report back my findings!
thanks man, great news
thanks to team BB also, their cooperation is fully appreciated
the startup animation is amazing, the guy who did it is a talent
Sweet can rely on this more than my own.

No, it is not working in this build yet. As it gets fixed I will fetch the commits and submit a pull request so that it can be merged into the baked repo officially.
This is absolutely amazing and a great day for our beloved One S and I am glad you were willing to accept building officially for us Klin I was disheartened to even have the thought this may not happen. It is really great to see HTC One S on the official TeamBaked page and you a part of it man! Great job on the ROM everything has been running great as expected except for the known issues! Thanks again we needed ya buddy!
Everything seems to be working great. The only thing is the camera not being present. Thank you Klin!
For working Camera here are the files you need. You can try flashing it but good luck with that lol but if you place the files into the rom zip and fresh flash then it should be working.
Open both with winrar and then drag and drop the system folder and the boot.img from my zip to the rom zip then flash the rom.
