[ROM]PORT[4.1.2][DISCONTINUED]UNOFFICIAL MIUIandroid 3.2.22 v3 - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

MIUIandroid 3.2.22UNOFFICIALThis is for the EVITA version of the HTC One X/LInternational HTC One X(Tegra3) users, leave now.
This ROM is not 100% complete. I have many, many things I will be adding. Please give the ROM time to boot up and settle. You will get a few notices and what not about things "stopped" working, don't worry about that right now. Unless it has actually stopped working... Then worry about it and post a logcat so I can fix it, please.
!/DISCLAIMER - If this build just so happens to make your phone transform into a poodle, cause WW3, or brick.... I AM NOT TO BE HELD RESPONSIBLE. It is your job as the user to read and understand what you're doing to your device. I will not tolerate anyone who comes and complains that this ROM sucks. If you so happen to complain over and over again about a bug and fail to report without a logcat, you will be ignored by me. Logcats are the only way I will be able to fix anything.

BUG REPORTING
Submit it here
Description of what happened
A logcat and screen shot(if applicable)
Provide step by step instuctions on how it happened
Type of flash(clean/dirty)
To get a logcat:
Download gunnyman's quick adb fastboot primer.(found in a sticky in Android Dev section)
Once downloaded, open cmd prompt in the adb dir. If using win7, hold shift+right click - If you're on Ubuntu CTRL + ALT + T
Type: adb devices - your serial number should show in cmd prompt.
Then type: adb logcat > logcat.txt - this will spawn a .txt file in your adb folder.
Recreate the error while you're running above cmd.
Press Ctrl+C to stop logcat.
Post logcat.txt contents into www.pastebin.com (make sure expire option is on the never option)

What to look for:
A lot of init.d tweaks
Longer battery life(possibly)
A different audio mod other than AC!D, because that's just not a good one compared to our very own Aznrice2k4 audio.
That's about it. For the most part, this will be vanilla. I don't plan to change a whole bunch of things.

one more for good measure

Re: [ROM]PORT[4.1.2][3/26]UNOFFICIAL MIUIandroid 3.2.22
You're welcome. It took some time, but I got it working. quite a bit has changed. It does have on screen keys, but I can possibly remove those if people don't like them.
Imo, I don't see a use for them as we have capactative buttons. For now, until I remap the recent apps button to be a menu button... They are staying up.

Dude hasn't got back with me yet, and I had to dip into my fund for the Nexus 4 to pay for my cruise... :/ it will be awhile... Unless these lovely people on xda want to donate, could be about a month before I end up getting one. I don't want to buy one out right due to the SIM unlock ban crap.

I do have a job, but most of my money is going towards saving for a cruise... Those things aren't cheap. Also, a good chunk of change is going towards gas for my truck... I work 30 miles from my house and I get about 9-10mpg. I spend quite a bit on gas alone...
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium

He he, I'm only about a mile away from my work. Ya gas prices suck, I can just walk he he but anyways to the ROM. I'm s-off with hboot 1.14 and I didn't install the boot.IMG, when I flashed the ROM, it bootlooped a couple of times then booted up just fine . I remember I had the same problem on another cm based ROM...any fix for this?

Well, really I was forced by my parents... I don't want to go because that just takes money away from what I really would like to spend it on. Like my desktop, I need to upgrade it. I'm doing all this on a Compaq Presario that's about 5-6 yrs old. The only thing I have done to it hardware wise is replace the RAM. I would really like to upgrade my entire computer with a brand new one, but that won't happen any time soon. More like around Christmas when I can ask for parts and/or a new computer.
EDIT: I'm also getting a few reports of the ROM not booting on some devices. I kindly remind you that all devices react differently to things. Some people may be able to get it to boot, some not. If you aren't able to get it to boot, please... Report here and tell me your firmware(1.85, 2.20, etc.), your hboot ver, and s-on/s-off. That way I can make my phone exactly like your's firmware wise and test the build.

Will give this a boot in a moment, thanks! Any update on that v5 HOME status bar transparent trick Myrder?

This is CM10. I don't want to explain it again but basically I will be merging my ColdBlooded Tweaks soon. I compiled from source and then made some modifications so some more things worked. Also, I am available to help people and fix issues where as the other cm10 is not as they are very VERY busy doing great work on other things/roms! Just try the rom and you will find out or read in the thread. I can't go very deep into now because I am busy doing many things but I'm sure you will figure it out.
nice work
Nice Work BiteBlaze.
I'm using your ROM as my daily driver and is awesome.
Was a little difficult to me to at the first because the phone don't boot, just hang out on the X boot image. I flash with TWRP first, and I think I didn't do full wipe out, don't remember.
After flashing the boot.img that come with the zip all went well
Some bugs that you maybe already know:
the incoming notification appear some glitch;
Also my battery life is short, 6 hours for the first boot. In "battery usage" I didn't notice any strange behaviour, my screen is consuming most of the time 60%. Maybe I have to calibrate my battery.
But in resume all works well.
Love Google Now Cards
Thanks

I was little skeptical at 1st because I'm running the other cm10 but this feels a lot better and you actually have a camera app. Awesome job. I noticed cm10 has theme engine will you be adding that feature to your ROM?

Yep. Next time I compile I will add the theme engine. Also, vote on the poll in my dev thread and tell me if I should make a lite version.

Is it ever possible that we can receive official support from the CM team once this is no longer alpha/beta (almost everything works)? What our devs do here is completely amazing and mind boggling, but it would always be more concrete if we get official support. I always wondered why we do not have CM support when our device is tied in first place with the One X (over GSiii!). Thanks for the amazing hard work getting this going!

Randomblame's kernel source code is freely available for you to download and build. There's nothing more 'open source' than that. Extracting a compiled kernel from someone's ROM without permission and put it into your own ROM is clearly not.

I know but I took it without permission as I did not know how to compile a kernel. Now that someone is helping me out then I will not touch his anymore. Will do my own cm10 port about a few days time.

I did ask him in the first place but he totally disagree with it. What's wrong with using a ROM in the first place when it is meant to be shared among other peoples? Why are people getting selfish nowadays? Even if he spent 100 over hours with that ROM, whats wrong sharing a kernel? Not like he bought the whole CM10 down, so it should be shared among people.

If you went and did it anyways, why did you ask in the first place?
It is being shared. You can get the source. If you don't know how to compile it, you should learn. Not steal. Instead you're getting upset at him not doing the work for you. kind of not cool. If you really want to push out your own ROMs so bad, learn how to do the legwork in the first place.

If you think it is very easy to do compiling of stuffs when you have a computer which has only 512mb of ram, not even reaching 1ghz single core, show me that you can do it. And if you think it is very easy everything from the basics, go try it yourself. If you can't even produce a ROM, don't come teach me what to do. I was rushing my work to show to everybody that the v1.9.2a update would work perfectly but indeed I had broken the rules by taking RandomBlame's kernel without permission. Till then if you can't produce a ROM, do not teach me what to do. I managed to get this phone , which was already like 2 years old from my family, and my whole family is not that rich. We can't even afford a 'normal' PC like most people had nowadays, and had to live our lives with mostly second hand stuffs. When I got this phone, I was totally shocked how the HTC Sense made the phone laggy for me, hence I went into modding my phone, trying to build Chinese Custom ROMs into this development forum, and seeing people able to appreciate my work makes me happy. Now my family is even having difficulties saving money up for my school fees that I have to pay.
So if your life is not like mine DO NOT TALK LIKE YOU ARE THE BOSS OF THE FORUM. -End Of Speech-

[Q] Developers needed for ROM build feedback.

First thing I am sorry if I posted this information the wrong section but this is kinda Q&A
I need help Devs or anyone with a strong knowledge in building roms. Now I'm gonna be very clear I'm more then likely 75% noob when it comes to building roms but I am learning thru trial and error. And every First time dev has a learning curve.
What this thread for I built my first custom ROM and i need some feedback in regards to what the heck im doing wrong.I started using the android kitchen is xda INSTALL Cygwin was fine and all first time preps and tools I believe is all set.
v1
Now so far I have built a rom 3 different versions V1 install was fine all packages came up on got some FCs and freezing and root wouldnt allow access even though SU was present. but the phone was completely functional aside of that.
V2
This time I went in and made mods the android kitchen completely normal su, busy box, all the same however this time I made changes However i did make some BP mods(build prop) and almost every ROM in xda has such as speed tweaks response etc. This time I added a custom boot animation and audio.I also Added a few apks to data/app. This time after flash was done in got the custom boot logo and custom boot audio however I was stuck for 30 min at custom boot. So reset re flash cache fact reset system data cache format with dalvik still nogo.(in other words still a Nogo)
v3
Now this scenario android Kitchen had everything installed except for wipe ROm, Now this time i added the same apks a new custom boot animation/audio But this time i cut down on a few of the build Prop tweaks. and made a few change on the sounds folder and notification/alarms etc. Now i went back into cwm flash as normal- format system, data, cache wipe Fact Reset cache and dalvik again. install was completely fine. went in t reboot device I got the Boot animation/Sound took about 5 minutes then i got the soft keys now me thinking it was gonna go to the main screen it didnt it stayed at the boot animation for another 30min did a Battery reset. soon after comes a flicker onthe screen and then a paper weight phone... it wont boot light up i get nothin. now when i plug it in to get something thru PC I only get "qhsusb_dload" which i know means DEAD/ASTA LA BEASTA/Corpse. i know it requires Jtag to fix im cool with that.
what im trying to accomplish here is some good feedback to anyone who willing to help me learn from my mistakes or can atleast point me in a good directionand places to read etc.
I have channel logs of what mods i made to BP and i have actuall builds of this rom i tried to make. if there is anyone at willing to attempt to atleast have a look at the rom build NOT FLASH cuz i would hate for you to break your phone but atleast Look at what i change and see if there is something i shouldnt of done i would really appreciate it.
If you would like to look at the build and give me some constructive feedback please PM so far i have exhausted all my sources i would really like some feedback.
I WARN YOU DO NOT FLASH THESE ROM FILES DONT BREAK YOUR PHONE I WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE IF YOU DO THIS
You guys can flame me all you want i just want to do more then just use your files i want to contribute
Thank you for all those who want to help

Also, I don't think the kitchen is compatible with ICS/JB. Works great with the gingerbread. I'm not sure what you did, usually hard bricks on this device are kernel related. Oh and ditch the kitchen k:thumbup:

WIP CM 10.1 ALPHA 4.2.1 Unofficial

This is an Alpha build of CM10.1 for the Blaze... Want to give a big thanks to jeffakajeff over in the S2 forums. He gave me the info needed to get this going...
Working:
WiFi
Not Working:
Everything else...
This is a very alpha stage build for those wanting to help out and get this going for our device. NOT A DAILY DRIVER
Thanks of course to CyanogenMod for source
my github: https://github.com/Racing1
ROM DOWNLOAD: https://sourceforge.net/projects/cm101blaze4g/files/latest/download
Here we come...
Been running since posted make sure if testing to install the newest gapps 12-12. As the op mentions a lot is broken hence alpha. If possible please post logcats.
Got the adb working. I'll play around with getting you some log cats tonight, going to bed. Gotta be up in 2 hrs...
sorry about that jbats. Been busy... adb works if you tap about in settings a few times to get developer options. I ran some logcats and found some issues. I am working on them now. will hopefully have a new build by the end of the day with some fixes in it.. thanks for the help and logcats are our friend...
Come this weekend I might be able to be a Guinea pig if you need one lol. Running pa right now and I'm about ready to refresh my system :3

I talked to him yesterday and he said its still not booting. Jeffakajeff said he was going to give it a shot as well today when he gets a chance. First we've got to get it to boot.

Running a new build with a different configuration right now.. will post the outcome. Ran a build with my old settings last night and that boots and runs but android.com.phone fc's all the time and can't get anywhere without removing phone.apk. remove phone.apk and rom runs smooth. wifi works but no data or much of anything else.

I Can't Wait For This To Come Out... I Flashed It And Was So Excited That It Booted
No estimate on when the actual (non-alpha) ROM will be released? I am anxious to try this ROM.

As an off-topic question would any of you devs know if there is a compile flag to enable tasks/notes in Exchange Services or some way to enable it? Best answer I have found searching this is that the phones that do support it only have it because it was provided as a feature by HTC/Motorola.

Can't wait. Thanks for all of your hard work as devs to bring our phones the rom experiences that we may not get to have for our phones. like my phone may never get the jb experience or any other future android os's that may be released in the future but you guys make those experiences for my blaze 4g possible. thanks sooooooo much. your hard work is very much appreciated.:good:
So looking forward to 4.2.1! I have the utmost faith in you devs! When this is running, straight awesome...

I would really like to help if I can, would it be useful for you devs if I flashed and messed around for a little bit while recording a logcat? If so, I would be happy to spend some time without a usable phone to get that to you tonight
You guys are the best

The thing is Soul roms are considered Warez in XDA forums. Unless they choose to close one eye on our lonely Butterflys.

Yes I know and I feel for the people who get ripped off with all the hard work that they do. Even trying to get a hold of Boa's new rom is impossible. You join there site get one point a day build enough points up and you still cant get a hold of it. I give up on that one. The best i can do and will do. If there are payed apps on the rom I will delete them and purchase them from the app store. I cant go back. Truthfully this rom is amazing and so is his soul 19.
Apologies to all who think i am wrong in wanting something a bit better on my device and very thankful to all who put all the hard work in to make all these roms.
I hope some other butterfly users can experience what i am loving at the moment on my device.
I am able to get hold of boa rom and I'm also using his soul28 ROM. It feels really good to be able to have a taste of sense 7 before I get my hands on the M9
I have Boa Lollipop V1 and would like to get a hold of V3. Same on soul 28 at the moment and loving this sense 7

Does this ROM work on Butterfly X920d?
Yes. I have a X920D
Anyway Butterfly is gonna lost support soon. Warez roms are going to cease support. Time for a new phone?
I also got the soulrom Sense 7 on my X920E, works perfect, but i like Soul 25 Sense 6 more. I also was looking for a new phone but the only option for me is the Butterfly S because i like the style. One M8 and the Butterfly 2 have the buttons on the display, i don't like that.
With Soul 25 Sense 6 my X920E is blazing fast. Don't think i'm going to buy another phone!
I got stuck on boot few times on my x920e with soul_28, and phone wouldn't reboot on power+vol down . So I had to wait 3-4 hours till battery died. I think it was something in Soul tweaks section

I thought the butterfly already lost support until i found these. I will be getting a new one myself. Maybe something with a bigger screen though. And with lots of support

:good: I'm holding on to butterfly for a little while more before M9 reaches my region.
Tried this ROM. Works great, it is superb.
Very smooth & quite fast.
Never imagined would get Lollipop with Sense 7 on my Butterfly.
Great.
Thanks
Glad to hear. Have fun.

Yup,
Thanks to you guys.
At first the phone rebooted successfully.
I installed Gapps as well. Installed all other software from Playstore.
I made a few changes to the Soul Tweaks and applied a few themes.
When I restarted the phone. It is not rebooting.
Now I am stuck on the boot screen. Tried everything, power + volume down, but the phone is not restarting.
I might have to wait till the battery gets drained.
Is there any other option.? Will the phone reboot after I restart again?
Please advise.

Thats what happened to me multiple times. I had to wait every time for the battery to run out.
Tried everything else and nothing worked.
Just let your phone charge and after charging boot straight into recovery, install the rom again and dont touch the tweaks or restore previous backup.
I think something from the tweaks section is causing this, I restarted multiple times and booted fine but when I changed something from tweaks and rebooted it was just stuck on "htc one" screen.
Nice info buddy..
I wanna take a try, but i dont quite sure what to do.. since google translate just give me more headache to understand the translation..
I have x920d, stock JB rooted ROM, S-ON with kairi's twrp recovery..
Can any of you give me a little guide to install this ROM?
Im not that noob, i know how to install cust ROM, kernel and stuff.. just not sure about this one because its in chinese..
thanks alot before guys..
Are you using google chrome to help with the translation?
You have to download the rom from the russian site 4pda dot ru. In Aroma the first option is X920E, X920D, J Butterfly or Droid DNA, second option is S-ON or S-OFF. After that you can choose if you wanna install Facebook, HTC stock etc. Reboot, wait a couple of minutes and android will update all apps, after that you can select your language. I'm using Kairi's TWRP 2.7.0.3
For S-ON get boot.img from zipfile and use it in fastboot.
