Was looking around on the forums and found this

This works on ics roms, but I'm unsure about mtd or gb roms. To install this, copy to system/app and change the permissions to rw--r--r

Are you using root explorer? Make sure it says r/w on top, then long press the apk, and you should see permissions
Sent from my SGH-T959V using xda app-developers app
Yes I'm using root explorer. I know how to go to the permissions but I can't check the boxes to make it say rw--r--r

On top does it say mount r/o?

So what exactly is wrong? You can't get the permission menu, or you don't know how to? If you get to the permissions, check the first two in the first row, first in the second, and first in the third. Then reboot

As bbrad mentioned, reinstalling the app should work. Or some bad moderator moved or closed the thread but you will know as soon as everything refreshes.
Also, there is a thread in the About xda forum specifically for reporting/getting help with the xda app. It is Here. If you are still having problems, just repost your problem there.
Thanks!
