MIUI Jellybean for G2x? - T-Mobile LG G2x

I've searched all over the place but can't find a MIUI Jellybean ROM. I know there is an ICS MIUI ROM, I have it. I really want a JB ROM though. Any ports available??

No.
Basic rule: If there's no STOCK or CYANOGENMOD Roms for a given Android release, then there will be nothing else for that release.
The only ICS and JellyBean roms for this phone are seriously broken in numerous ways depending on if you go hackfest or not. Most people find the compromises too severe for a daily driver.
There was an MIUI V4 (ICS) release for G2X in July 2012, but it was seriously broken just like all other ICS on this phone. Since MIUI is based on CyanogenMod, it has the same compromises. It's not worth anyone's time to build roms based on Jelly Bean or even ICS any longer, until these problems can be fixed. If that's a problem, introduce your phone to a sledgehammer and go buy something else.

MIUI ICS

Is it possible to get MIUI ICS ported to this phone? I love MIUI but it would be wonderful to have the 4.0.3/4.0.4 version on this phone. I would have posted this in Q & A but I figured we could have a discussion on this thread. Don't flame me. Its very annoying.
On rootzwiki whitehawkx posted a guide on how to port it over to our phone.
I believe it should also work for ICS.
Afaik there is no Miui ICS port possible at this time. There's only 8 models supported I think and not for the P999 or P990.
Again this is afaik.

I know, I wasn't sure if the instructions are the same for the ics version. Since ics is a completely different firmware. /:
Galnet miui had a version you flashed over a 2.x.x install, making nggn it miui v4. Never did it myself, but that's an option. Baji's port thread has it listed.

galnet ics miui is one of the smoothest roms i've used on the g2x.
It has been ported to our phone, bot nobody can get data working!
The Galnet Miui ICS port is very outdated now (2.11.26). Even then Galnet just claimed to have some ICS framework hacks. Don't think they have a V4.

That's kind of a stupid statement,***mod edited***... The ICS releases that are out now are just like stock AT&T ota ics... Do you think they're going to change the rom completely or give us aosp ota??? The releases that we have are as close to stock as they are gonna get, only thing they're doing now is getting bugs out or adding apps from the carriers that they want... Have you tried all of the ICS roms out there? I've been running seanz ucle2 ics release rom and I've had absolutely no problems... As long as you read/follow the instructions completely everything should be fine... And thinking about this, the skyrocket is from AT&T not from google so we're never going to get stock ICS ota... OTA releases are not gonna be like aosp, aokp or cm9...
No no no I'm not a dev guys OK I ported the rom and the last release I only helped a bit I been busy on a few projects for the skyrocket community lol but to say the hard work and dedication that actual devs have put in is beneath you is a statement that I can not condone and actually is an insult to this site the roms in the dev section are far beyond what anything Samsung will ever do (/rant)

Stable OS replacement for stock froyo?

I have been using froyo since I bought the phone. I have been resistant to replacing it with a custom ROM because that always led me down a road of instability on past phones but from what I see of ICS, it looks like a very good upgrade.
That being said, the current jelly beans upgrade still has bugs (namely gps) so I was wondering if there are any previous OS replacements of gingerbread or is that are stable and fully functional?

"gingerbread or ICS"

Most stable and completely functional would be GB roms like Emancipation or Aeon.
ICS is also quite stable and functional, except for the 720 video recording being choppy, but if it is something you don't use then this could be the one for you. I would recommend cm9, uniyumaporn or remICS-ux
Sent from my sweet and buttery Infuse
most stable and smooth would be stock samsung gingerbread. but cm9 is also a very good choice(smoother than stock actually but no mhl). and gapps in ics are much improved. voice search in particular is way more usable.
I would suggest Aeon for stability.
There are still a handful of bugs on CM9 and CM10. Nothing that stops us early adopters...
if GPS were fixed JB
For stability I loved Emann. Then switched to uniporn until cm10 got GPS up and running. From my experience, as of now Scotts cm10 8/8 build with 7/26 gapps is running perfect for me. I haven't moved to the 8/10 build yet because I don't have use for the mtd partitioning as of yet. I've always had the mind set of don't change a running system. If new features come out in a later build I will definitely update to it. But right now my phone is running super smooth. With working GPS

Don't go JB for at least a couple months. The builds are unstable and they come frequently.
I would go for Entropy CM9 as even if a new build is released you can just flash it on top with no wipe (keep your apps/settings)

Stock LB3. I use it for stability.

I made the switch to Paranoid Android 4.0.4 ICS a month ago...
Best move I've EVER made.
In my opinion, it works far smoother than stock ever did for my phone. =D
...about to try the Jellybean update... I can't wait!

Hello All,
I have been using my Froyo Inuse for a long time now, and it is now showing it's age, with more aps not working anymore as they get new versions. Can someone lead me to some instructions about how to go about upgrading from 2.2 Froyo?
Thanks

Here go to this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1613523 this is the UCLB3 gingerbread 2.3.6 the option C is rooted with CWM recovery you need to flash the gingerbread bootloaders too, there you will find the instructions to flash this update and the program to update your phone (odin)

Go to the development threads and seek your stable rom, stability is up to what you do with your device.
As these threads are way too similar to "best" rom threads, and they always become arguments over what rom is best/stable - This thread is closed.

Newbie help

Hi!
Iam new to android world using a samsung S i897.
I want to install JB and found the slim rom in this (awesom) forum.
The slim version of android is a part of it? What Im missing? There are features that where left out?
Iam confuse on which are oficial versions and how obtain them and which are mods or custom versions. Exist a ICS official rom for my phone? Is better upgrade to that version or the JB slim rom?
Thanks!!!
None of the Galaxy S series of phones are getting official ICS, let alone JB.
So anything for your phone that's ICS or Jellybean is unofficial.
And you should use Slim JB because its waaay better than stock GB and has no bloat, along with performance boosts. Heck, any custom ROM is better than official versions (aside from the usual bugs when they are in early development).

You may want to look at CyanogenMod 9.. or wait around for a CyanogenMod 10
Google it, I can't post links yet..
You can wait (stable) custom jelly bean version if that appear as it is the most recent android version.

The captivate has good jb ROMs such as hellybean or slim bean as you said. But these guys are right, there will never be any ICS or JB official updates for it because its an outdated phone much like the vibrant or original i9000. The closest you get to stock would be slim bean or slim ICS.

Serch normal JB Rom and flash that. Or ICS if you will not find normal stable JB.
Thanks!!
I will try that.

What is the most stable and complete JB rom?

All I want is a very stable rom that stays true to android and doesn't break any features. Sorry if this is a basic question.
Quick answer is nine of the JB roms are as stable as the ICS ones, and the most stable are TW roms. You have to try out and decide for yourself I guess.
I like paranoid android.
All JB roms have issues. In waiting until CM10 fix the low audio in video record issue then it would be my daily driver.

+1. I am for the Paranoid Android as well. There are some "very minor' nuances but overall its a rock solid ROM. In some other thread i reported that I needed to settle down on a ROM since i was jumping around too much with flashing different ones. This is the one I settled with.
