No phones support them. Only scripts support them.
Swap will increase your ram.
Theoretically, if you have a fast SD, it'll be able to use that to increase physical ram ~however frequent read and write cycles on your SD will create strain and decrease the life of SD.
No actual study I know have been conducted to prove /disprove that theory

Hello everyone !
As u know that stock kernel dont support ext partitions so i used a fat32 instead and using link2sd ! Now before installing another rom its recommended to make a nandroid backup.....but the problem arise when nandroid doesent recognize fat32 partition and skip that step instead !
Any way i can backup all my apps with nandroid(including the ones in fat32 part.)
Thankyou!

I a N00b
Please can u tell me how to flash a kernel and which is the best one for our pico...
Also can i backup my stock kernel ? How ?
Thanks
Sent from my HTC Explorer A310e using Tapatalk 2
Look u can flash new kernel on stock from but memory increasing script won't work coz it does not support ....
Next u have to unlock boot loader
And install recovery
And then flash any rom u like and kernel will be flashed automatically
And now u can use any memory increasing script............

I already unlocked bootloader and added a recovery...!! I tried flashing cranium kernel build#3 on my stock rom....but i got stuck on bootscreen.
Luckily i made a nandroid and later restored it...am i doing something wrong ?
And one last thing can i use link2sd on cm9.1 latest build otherwise which method of increasing memory would u recommend ?
Thanks for the replies btw

Try mounting data and system then
flash the kernel it works....
Link2sd is very slow and not recommended......
And use ungaze the best memory increasing script so far ........for Pico...

Thanks ill try that

I used the m2sd script from here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1932874 and followed the terminal commands.
But i have read in many posts that it is recommended to keep app data to internal memory.....so which command i have to use to move back data. Also why he used m2sd bla bla disable instead of m2sd bla bla enable in his commands??
ThankYou
Regards
Sent from my HTC Explorer A310e using xda premium
Well he used reverse mounting. You can see the command rmount at the end. Hence he used disable instead of enable command. Reverse mounting prevents memory problems which might occur with few phones
Hope it's clear.
Hit thanks if I helped

U cant do that in flyrom v3, wait for flyrom v4, i will be uploading it in few days...
for mounting sd-ext, u need to change the complete script and ramdisk... as derefas did. but thats a long process... So its better to wait for few days.

You can use mount2SD app...
Download from play store and then do as the app tells you..
You can use move all (app, data, dalvik) or reverse mount.. any one
No problem.. no messing with links /whatever

Sent from my HTC Explorer A310e using xda premium
In the script the data remains an internal memory for speed purpose and so we require 100mb internal memory for every 500mb of ext. And about m2sd i think the creater of rom can help u with it....
