Hello.
Yesterday i went from 2.2 to pacman custom rom. Phone got jammed up really badly, half things didnt work, including wifi, mobile network etc.
After that i cleaned up via recovery and went to bakedbean. Now here its worse. Instead of half stuff not working, the phone just goes black most of the time and the mobile network not working. (rest working pretty good, when not black screened).
Now, my wife is pregnant and getting a kid any day now and i need to get my phone fixed. After a few hours scrolling on the webs and site, i coudnt find any info, if its possible for me to get back on a stock 2.1 or 2.2 from this custom rom. I need to be reachable for when she gotta give birth >.<
Please help me anyone.
Regards,
Ajdin

Thanks a lot. When i go to the link, and i check out any KDZ of GB, they all go to an error page, same with the flash package, not available. I found a V30B_00.kdz
file somewhere when googling, should i be able to downgrade to that one?

First off all can i say congratulations is it your first? If so welcome to parenthood
i think the V30.kdz thats going around is the american ics for p920 i could be wrong. If you are american you can grab it and flash it using the kdz update method there is also a v28b.kdz which is the Europe version. Theres is also xbsall's bin file which is pre-rooted 28B (not sure if the v30B has a bin yet) using the bin method all guides are on the forum . Either flashing one will put you on stock LG ICS and will be reachable with the benefits of of ics.

i've tried that and it doesn't seem to work. I've tried the methods to flash the KDZ but when the LG update program runs it always seems to download another update rather than use the V28B KDZ. Im at my wits end with this phone!
I say you try flashing the KDZ, but you're not guaranteed to get network working as I currently wasn't able to get mine working but everyone else seems to be doing fine by flashing the KDZ. I requested help, but no one has replied.
Remove all LG drivers and all LG software and start from scratch. I've done it through Windows 7 many times in the past and yesterday tried on Windows 8, with a few issues here and there, I finally got it. If you need help or get stuck just P.M. me so I can run you through it. Maybe the KDZ will work for you even though it didn't work for me.
The easiest way of course is to use LG flash tool on XP and you'll get rid of any problem
just follow this instruction
so many questions like this already in this thread.. and really got sicked of it.

It's 2013 and many people have strayed away from using an old OS like XP, suggesting to use it is not any help to anyone.
If you're sick of it don't come around. I've had my share of issues where quite a few people have helped me around here. That's what the community is for. I've personally read and followed everything to the dot, and still I don't have any network just like the OP. If the answer's around here then lead me to it, because I must not be reading correctly.

If the LG update downloads another update instead of using the v28b.kdz then you've probably didn't setup the http server and the hosts file correctly.
Check the link to the guide I posted on the first page and make sure you follow all its steps.
to everybody who is trying to help resolve this issue it is very much appreciated. Nobody likes to run into problems when flashing etc but like one of the other members posted thats what this community is for. I might try get hold of a machine or laptop running XP or create a partition and install it on my laptop and see if thats work but before i do that i will give the server method a try again from the beginning and see if that works. Thanks people and i'll report back on what i do and if it works
look at link in my post before. work for win7 too
just download xbsall rooted v28b zip and flash with lg flash tool and if your on windows 7 make sure you run lg flash tool in xp sp3 compataility mode it should work for you then.
here is the link for downloads read carefully before flashing http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1963847

Hi. Please could somebody help me. I have a UK model from orange. It's now unlocked but has orange bloatware. I have searched the forums for a debrand method but only found one, and that only works with win xp.
Is there any way to unbrand this phone with windows 7. Orange did not support this phone and it's still stuck on android 2.2.2.
Thanks in advance

I've done it a few times myself, with succes, and I think this is the way I've managed it.
*This asumes you've installed
Follow this on the official LG site: http://www.lg.com/uk/support-mobile/lg-LGP920 , and go to the tab "software update".
But instead of just updating your phone do this: Click on User/Support (above) then emergency mode, insert your IMEI and click on check
?
It didn't work i'm afraid. What's really odd is that the phone is on froyo 2.2.2 and the OTA update from the phone says there's no update available. Yet the lg update tool tells me an update is available yet after it has downloaded and about to 'install' it stops and says that the update cannot continue because a 'fatal error' has occured ?
Very odd. I'm guessing the orange bloatware is the problem. I HATE orange !
Edit. Ok, i just installed all the flashing tools to my pc (win 7) But when i open flash tool a window appears saying 'lg usb/parallel key is not detected. i'm also asked for a password and id ?

I downloaded everything but there was no crack included for the flashtool and no .dll file to enter into the flashtool ? it certainly looks incomplete so did not help at all.
Do i really have to keep entering an image verification everytime i need to reply on my own thread ? Seems so daft.

Copy the indicated file over the original as instructed or use 1.2 if you want. You also have to run the installer before using it...It might be a good idea to run it in xp sp3 compatibility mode.

not working
I've now tried all methods and nothing works. The furthest i have got so is to hit the yellow start button on the flash tool, but the port does not become ready. I have followed all instructions to the letter.
Recheck step 1 details carefully. Be sure antivirus and Defender are off when downloading and decompressing. It won't start until drivers are installed correctly.
You should see the devices in device manager with no 'blinking' of the omap device, and LG CDMA USB SERIAL, on which you change the port number to 41. Then you are ready to flash.
That part is fiddly.

if you lose you IMEI .....
Restoring IMEI
1.Connect phone by USB
2.Activate USB debug mode
3.Enter 3845#*920# in dialer if that doesn’t work try 3845#*925# or 3845#*720# if device is SU760
4.Select Port Settings -> Select CP USB
5.A new device should appear at let it install
6.Open Tutty and select serial protocol. Click on open
7.Type AT if response is not OK, change port number (it is possible that when typing you don’t see any letters)
8.Type at%imei, it should display a dummy IMEI
9.Type at%imei=x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x where x,x,x... is your orginal IMEI number (found under the battery of your phone). It should response IMEI WRITE OK
10. change Port Settings ->form CP USB TO AP USB
11. reboot your device

soon, am sorry but am kinda busy. i will list every thing i did!
How did I DID IT!
well at first the lg mobile support tool couldnt recognize my phone, may be because i live in 'unknown' country. so i manually downloaded every driver known to be made for this phone and installed them. when i opened the tool again it recognized it and told me i have to update the drivers i did. so i had the latest drivers for the phone. i downloaded the 'offline installer download' link from the xda link i posted earlier and downloaded v30b from the link i got from MasterTobi. i ticked USB Debugging and connected to pc, then i started the vbs script it did all the modifications i needed then i followed the instruction then viola! android upgraded. i was shocked when the phone lit up on 90% but completed with no errors. Hi all first i had GB 2.3 prometheus running but apps on my SU760 were not working well probably because prometheus is P920 port.
So i used LG smart flash tool and flashed froyo 2.2 V10 and then upgraded to 2.3.5 GB using LG support tool all is good until now.
Wait !!!!!
-------------
So now i try to upgrade to ICS using LG support tool my phone is detected by the tool but all of a sudden i get a pop up phone not connected properly, so i run LG support tool as SP3 and run as administrator, still no luck !!!
I then extracted V30b KDZ which is ICS 4.0.4 to bin and fls and used LG smart flash tool to flash directly with ICS but the download mode keeps on dropping out hence i cannot flash the SU760 all the wat to 100% with ICS.
I have now been trying to get ICS on my phone for last 48 hours but no luck.
My Question is:-
1) Is it really worth upgrading SU760 to ICS because i had ICS earlier this year and my phone started to crawl and really slow.
2)Is there a way to get ICS on my phone apart from LG support tool and LG smart flasher and offline flashing is not working for me.
3)Even if i do manage to get ICS then is the ICS rom 4.0.4 by xbsall http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1963847 ported from experia fast enough on SU760 ?
Thanks in advance,
Suhail

First make sure your rooted with twrp.Basically what I did was flashed a already stock rooted AT&T rom in twrp which I knew would brick it.That will turn it back to the correct stock ROM which in this case D800 even though the device is brick.Next get out of recovery and get the device in download mode. Then I flashed stock AT&T Kit Kat rom using tot method and the no check DLL file.May work with AT&T DLL.Didn't test.Flash it,should be successful.I will assume this method will work for others on different devices if flashed wrong rom, didn't make a backup,or however they ended up changing the device because of flashing wrong ROM.

Good for you, I'm glad that you straightened it out. :good: One last thing, you should edit the title of the thread and insert "Problem solved" or something like that. Have a good one!

Still not Bro.
Waiting @tungkick to have a way to always go back, but i'm pretty sure if you flash only recovery TOT for example, you don't have any risk of brick nothing

There is a twrp recovery.img, but it's not yet flashable.
What is @tungkick website where I can find all of this stuff? Looking forward to flashing everything in the near future.

I have a bricked v20 and I have tried flashing this .tot and the other posted in this forum and I keep getting error messages at 9% on all attempts on two windows machines. Any ideas on what this issue could be? I am using LGUP version 1_14_3. Is this the latest build or the build compatible with the V20? Drivers were latest I could find also using the LG common.dll which I needed for LGUP to recognize the V20. This is my only way out of brick I think. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

mate, as of today, i have read that there is no dll file for the v20. i.e there is no updated dll file to recognise the v20 in lgup.
u might want to wait a bit longer before u can unbrick your phone.

Not good news.. it is just the dll? I mean i knew it had to be a missing piece because it was ready to flash. Every file failed at the same time. If anyone hears anything please post here or PM me just for a heads up. Im sure a few other desperate souls out there are anxiously waiting. Any reason the flash tools are incomplete? It doesnt seem like a big deal. Can someone here in the forum make one? Just couious.. i would gladly donate. Thanks for the info.

I don't think the flash tool is meant to be public, so they are probably leaked files.
I have a soft bricked LG V20 and have tried the LGUP DLL for every LG phone model I could find. The most progress I got was with the LG G5 dll and it only went to 10%.

not really sure as i am new to LG.
been reading up on xda relating to flashing and rooting (i came from samdung phones) this baby. i think being patient here is what you can do at the moment.also, not only the dll file is missing, i read twrp is not saving backup properly due to the new security protocols in place android 7.0.
take heart mate,i know it sucks to have a bricked phone.
all im getting is "Unknown Model"
Managed to soft brick my H918 as well, so if anyone working on this needs a tester, I'd love to get my phone back.

I appreciate it, wish I'd seen that the day before. I tried to go back to stock recovery to see if that would fix my boot loop issue, so, without access to TWRP, I'm hosed until we have a method to reflash recovery from Fastboot or Update modem connection..
I am screwed as well, I messed my phone up too, and when I turn my phone on it automatically goes the to the upgrade mode screen, I want to through away this damn phone, hehehe.
