[Q] No cell connection and settings menu FC's - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

This morning I did a Titanium Backup, clean wipe (cache, Dalvic, and user data) and reflashed CM10.1 3/19Nightly and radio UCLI3. Since restoring everything using TB I have not been able to get a cell connection and when I try to get into Mobile Networks settings it FC's. Any help?

I never restore apps through TB. seems to always cause issue's what I'd do would be
Re-wipe everything, re-flash the rom and gapps and install your apps 1 at a time.
Only time I use a restore through a backup is if I'm restoring a complete rom not apps.
Next time you go to flash make a backup through whatever your using (TWRP CWM) and you can restore from that if you need to

Don't restore system apps or system data. That can cause this. I usually just restore user apps+data and haven't had a problem.

Restoring system data will cause this. Just restore user data.

Titanium Backup Question

I (finally) flashed v2.0 touchmiuiwiz, someone suggested that since nandroid restores cause fc's, that i should flash the rom, reboot, let it load, then go back into cwm and restore data.
i did that, and the music player/camera/gallery/etc still dont work. i guess i'm being forced into titanium backup. question is - does it work if i make a backup ON THIS ROM then restore? or do i have to flash a different rom that doesn't fc said apps, THEN backup, then flash v2.0 and restore?
also, how does tit backup work? after flashing, where do i go to restore data? thanks bros.
anyone? =|
when you make a backup and restore you have to wipe data/factory ereset and it will work from any rom!
titanium backup makes a backup file of all your apps on the sd card and you can backup whenever you want.
so after the data wipe, i re-download titanium backup and restore from there?
Yeah, pretty much. TB Pro you don't have to confirm each app install when restoring. It was expensive but since I flash often it really speeds up the recovery process.
You can back up settings as well as apps. But I would only restore settings if on the same rom, no matter the version, unless significant. But all else, apps you can restore from any rom no problem. However, if you get a FC in an app (sometimes I'd get it for Gmail) you can just wipe the data for that app. It usually resolves the problem.

Will all app data successfully back up and restore?

I'm about to flash a new ROM, and I'm worried when I restore an app the data won't be there, I'm using titanium backup?

Restoring system app data won't work, but normal apps should.
Ultimatively it depends on the ROM you flash, more specific, what the update script of that ROM does.

Titanium Backup Restore Settings?

After I do a Factory Reset and Wipe Cache and Davlik Cache,
When I'm restoring Apps through Titanium Backup,
Which option won't mess up the system??
Restore Missing apps with data
Restore all system data
Restore missing apps + all system data
Restore newer versions of user apps
Restore all apps with data
??
I'm quite confused with this.
I do the missing apps + user data. This way if you load a new Rom and it already has apps you had previously Downloaded you dont have to reload them. Jumping from Rom to Rom with different bases though I always recommend reinstalling apps individually and then making a nandroid backup of that Rom in cwm recovery. I've ran into issues with titanium restoring data. so try it and if it doesn't act right then reflash and manually load apps.

[Q] Stuck in ' restoring app' screen on titanium backup

I flashed sensonic HD rom and when trying to restore apps through titanium backup, the screen gets stuck at "restoring app" and nothing happens..
what might be the problem??
Take a backup of titanium app and it's data (the backup of apps you've made)... clear app data of titanium and reinstall it and see whether it's working?
cleared data but that did not work
Aah well, Try not to restore all apps in a go, may be there's a problem while restoring a particular app??
It gets stuck even while your restoring individual apps??
yes even while restoring individually and tried many apps..
same problem...
even tried wiping cache and dalvic... still same problem..
and these are not system apps either...
Arrghh??
Did you take your backup while you were using ART and now restoring it with Dalvic selected.. Or vice versa??
I also had this issue a few times. I had to restore my user data little by little.
Do you have the latest SuperSU v1.93?
Maybe TB isn't stuck you just have to wait. How many apps do u want to restore? Some apps with big data?

Is there any application that can restore system application data?

Hey!
Is there any data backup application which is able to restore system application data (settings data for example, default launcher and so on) without causing crash?
What's the difference between that and what TWRP does when restoring data partition?
It's been a while since I've used it but, Titanium Backup Pro used to be great for that. I would use it to backup apps and their data and restore the apps and data from backup. It was great for when an app would update and the update wouldn't work with root or whatever. It was great for restoring apps on an individual basis instead of everything.

If you change ROMs or switch from stock to a custom ROM, restoring system data will only cause issues. Restoring system data usually only works properly when restoring data in the same ROM you were using when the backup was created or when restoring data in an updated version of the ROM you had when the backup was created. Restoring system data from a ROM other than the ROM in which it was created causes issues such as freezing and glitching.
