Hello there! I am wondering if there is any way to get Beats Audio on the Stock ICS ROM? I have just flashed the .zip file that keeps S-OFF and recovery, flashed Superuser and binary, did some improvements but miss the beats Audio.
I saw its implemented in other Sense 3.6 ROMs so it should be possible to be added to the official ROM at the state it is on my device (S-OFF, rooted, su-binnary busybox, etc.).
Any kind of flashable zip or what should I replace in my system files to have it as an add-on?
Thanks in advance!

Have you already checked < Pimp My Rom > app from Market
You can find it here- on XDA as well...

That's the whole thing. I prefer running 1.50.XXX.X HTC base builds as I find them smoother. Android Revolution HD is 1.73 based.

to get a beats mod working on the sense 3.0, just open the zip file and delete the apk files from system/app/
then flash the modded zip
I tried that with the Beats Audio XE mod, and it still gave me a boot loop.
Using ARHD 3.6.12 with stock Beats, and want to try a better version. :/

Try removing the lib and image files then and only have the files in soundimage folder.
Or just upgrade to a sense 3.5/ ICS ROM

If you are trying to install an ICS ROM, you need to update your firmware also, or you won't get past the beats screen.
i had the same problem and the above post is correct u must flash new firware before installing the rom otherwise it will hang on logo.
download latest firmware flash that first then install rom , i would also maybe use s wipe also after installing the firmware to give a nice fresh rom install.
I know I need to update my firmware first, but if I do that, I'm in a bootloop. That's even worse.
So, I've just installed this RUU: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1408961 with android 4.0.3 and HTC Sense 3.6. Where can I see my firmware now?
Settings then scroll to about phone its the very bottom option its in there software version and also hardware choose either one to see all info about phone.

Hi!
I came from ARHD 4.1.10. I installed the new firmware, you can pull the battery out after installation finishes or even when it boot loops. Then remove sd card, use a card reader to manually remove the img file. Put it back, Then boot to recovery, superwipe, flash new rom
Be careful using an old ARHD version, make sure to update your 4ext touch recovery to latest version afterwards

You'll need root access to inject the bin files in the system directory. Alternatively you can flash the zip from a custom recovery. But for both, you need an S'off or unlocked device.... Not possible on a locked or S'on phone.
But then if you end up having a S'off device...and want a sense ROM, you're better off using a custom ROM like Endymion which has beats pre installed.

Hi.
Endymion is based on Android 2.3.5 and Sense 3.5. No, it is not an ICS ROM.
As for tutorials, click on the link in my signature, under helpful links [Guides for Noobs] to learn about stuff you need to S-off, root and install a Custom ROM
Cheers.
Thank you for your answers...I`ll try to install it.Hope i`ll not kill it.

as far as i know pyd-x kernel is based for ics roms
for bricked i do not know but you can ask in each thread if they are
take a look in the development section for the kernels
If u want s2w you have to download and flash the latest TAMCORE kernel with the little file which enables S2W

Actually that does work on AOSP ROMs, but the beats notify icon in status bar only works on sense based ROMs because it requires a Sense framework
Paranoidandroid is built off of Bruce's source. Does he use Bruce's kernel? If so just enable it otherwise change kernel to Bruce's.
Unless tamcore updated his kernel recently? Last kernel wasnt great in CM10 but this was over a month ago
Check whether there is file editing option like in Bruce cm10.

I tried the same mod. I flashed it in recovery which installed:
-Dolby digital
-Fx settings
-Walkman
But I could not find beats audio and xloud? and dolby did not make a difference
The only difference that I had was srs settings (srs extreem)
Maybe someone can give a short 'tutorial' over what we get when we flashed that mod? and where we can find xloud and beats?
:fingers-crossed:

Hey there,
is there a way to remove the beats audio drivers from the stock JB rom (3.16)?
I want to use a clean AC!D audio mod without the preinstalled beats audio drivers from HTC so I can experience the pure AC!D audio engine..
I don't think that deleting the beats.apk will help because there should be a few libs related to beats but I dont know which.
my fear is that the music will sound bad/overpowered by using two mods at the same time

the files listed in the list aren't in my system folders
So I guess you're on an AOSP or AOKP rom. Then it's either modified or simply not there.
For sense based roms it looks like this:
Freeze it in titanium back up?
What's so good about acid? I have it with no add ons seems the same to me

as mentioned in the op, I'm not sure if freezing the app is enough, because its related to libs etc.
ac!d is a sound improvement mod, I want to try it out, but without ruining my rom

The easiest, but most tedious way, would be to download the flashable Beats zip, search for it, then unzip it and compare it to your stock files, and delete the ones you see in you Beats zip that are in your stock files.
Best way is to unzip the Beats zip on a computer, and use a root explorer on your phone, to delete all of the files that match the Beats zip.

But could it be possible that there files on the stock rom which are different named then the files from the zip?
so there are still there plus the files from the zip so I have two beats libs in my phone and my phone explooodes because of overpowered ultrabass (I like bass , but .. it should sound good)
