The battery on the G2 looks almost the same as then one from the Touch Pro 2. Are they the same? I don't have my Touch Pro 2 anymore.
I did a comparison at the corp store. It's a bit thicker (you can feel with finger).
All you have to do is to flip the battery and cut the corner by the connectors, but the thickness may block the back cover even though it's 0.3mm thicker.
Good to know. The G2 might actually use the same battery as the HTC Eris and Dinc. Anybody can confirm that? I want to pick up a couple of batteries and a charger on ebay but don't want to pay a premium price just because they are listed for the G2 only.

Damn HTC , may wanna check the form factor of the battery it self.
I have a mytouch slide which has the same battery as the g2, 3.7v dc 1300mah
Thing is, not only would you have to flip it face side down to align with the pins, but the nub is backwards making the ass end of the battery stick out a bit too much, dunno what snappin that lil peace off would so as Im not a battery geek, and Im not sure how far the cells inside and its caseing are etc :\

+1 man the battery life for my G2 is better then my N1 but I think my N1 had a bad battery because mine was so horrible compared to what people had. Then again how would that work with this battery door

Really if i last till 4pm that is like heaven for me. I have charger in my car and work but still i hate that i have to keep my phone on the charge all the time I will be looking for a 1800 battery to replace the OEM battery
Here's to that.
Haven't had my G2 long, but the few days I have I've been around 20-25% at 5pm. I take it off the charger at 6am when I head to work.
Used a 2300mAh in my G1 - it spoiled me!
So I'm guessing no one has any information regarding if there is any extended batteries for the G2 yet? I just got my G2 yesterday and I pulled it off the charger this morning at 6:30 a.m for it to be dead by 4:30 p.m. I definitely want something to last a little longer than that.
As far as I've seen, there aren't any extended batteries yet. But the phone did just come out. It's going to take the case/accessories/battery companies a few weeks to get stuff shipping, I would assume.
If the battery in the G2 is the same as the one in the Droid Incredible (I am just speculating, they both seem to have the same specs), there is a slim extended 1750 mAH from Innocell on the seidio website.

Don't waste your time with the Seidio extended battery. It is nowhere near the 1750 that it is rated at.
Take a look at this thread: http://androidforums.com/incredible-accessories/98877-seidio-liar-liar-your-pants-fire.html
I can confirm that the Dinc battery does not fit into the G2, due to the tabs built into the corners.
Edit: you would also have to put the Dinc battery in upside down to align the contacts.

I remember reading somewhere that the G2 battery is the same model as the HTC Wildfire battery. Of course I can't find where I read that now. Does anyone know if that's true? I hope so, since G2 batteries on eBay are $30, whereas Wildfire batteries are only 5 bucks.

If it was true we would have heard about it by now and Ebay would be flooded with them.

Actually, upon searching ebay for "HTC vision" batteries Wildfire batteries kept popping up in the titles. Given that there's already extended batteries for the Wildfire that don't seem to be out of proportion, I'm thinking I'll be the guinea pig on this one.

Let us know if it fits! If so, what the difference in MaH is as well as real-life percentages please! I'd love to have a slightly bigger battery, just so I can make it through the day with WiFi on all day...
Superfly has reported in the battery thread in General that he is using a Seido from the Incredible. He is reporting nothing but goodness about it. He did have to slighty trim a corner to get it to fit though.

I found this. But, its kinda expensive.
UK company BMC Digital claims to have a 1600mah battery for the Desire HD... for just 6.50 UKP. That can't be right, surely?
They also have a 1230mAh battery for 16.95 UKP, which seems more believable.
Sorry that I can't post the links yet, as I'm a new user.
The typical capacity of a battery is one thing but what they print on the label is another thing! I think, it's impossible to improve the original battery 1230 mAh about 370 mAh to 1600 mAh and sell it for less than the half price.

Well I just bought one for the hell of it, will let you know it's performance probably this time next week.
I got 2 of them 1600mAh with a bundle from good old ebay. I've been using them and they last at least as long as the original but not convinced they last much longer....
At least they work! so far
Cheers,
hey do you think it will be possible to make extended batteries (with cover) for dhd? because it has unibody

I don't think so, the battery have to be relatively the same size as the original battery, especially when the battery cover is used as antenna too.
try here for batteries - including extended one...
here is the link...
go to mugen-power-batteries dot com and then to the htc-desire section...
There is only one in the list.
its 1300mAh for 45$.
Very expensive and not very usefull.
Only 70mAh more -.-
So I used the one that was delivered for a couple of days, and let me tell you it is utter 'DOG-EGG' it doesn't last anywhere near as long as the original, but £6.50 for a spare ain't half bad.

Choose Anker, actually, they all have a same capacity in same battery size.Anker do the best in long term performance, and it's the cheapest one as well
I just got my Sensation about 2 weeks ago and immediately ordered an Anker. I've been using that for about a week. It seems to stay a little cooler and last a little longer, nothing major. Then again, the cost is pretty minor so I say jump on it! If that's not good enough, there is the big mack daddy from Mugen (3600?) with the extended case of course.
Hey guys, I'm in need of upgrading my battery for my sensation 4G. I currently have the Anker 1900mah (really around 1700 mah) and was wondering if I would see a significant improvement if I purchase either the chichitec 1930mah or the Mugen 1950mah batteries for HTC evo 3D (Since they both are compatible with sensation). Currently the price for the mugen battery is really putting me off but if someone already proved that it performs as well as its advertised, I don't mind making this investment. Thanks for the help!
I had exactly the same dilemma as you, now using the Anker which is good but not great, and looking for a better one.
The review I found HERE convinced me to buy the mugen, just haven't received it yet but I'll post a review when I finally have it!
Good luck with your choice!
Hey atticus182, thanks for your reply, I'll be looking forward to your review. The thing with mugen is that i'm also kind of scared off by the review performed at batteryboss.org. Deep down I'm hoping this is an isolated case but we'll just let the tests do the talking.
Hi,
I'm looking to replace the stock 1500mAh battery in my nearly 2-year-old Galaxy S. I've had a look around a notice their are some high capacity ones available. However, I'm not looking for those "extended" packs, it needs to have the same dimensions as the stock battery in order to fit into the case I use. I have no idea which manufacturers are reliable, can somebody help me out?
I've heard recommendations of Anker batteries of 1800mAh. You can find them easily on Amazon.

In one of the big battery threads here on the forum 3 1800mah batteries are compared: anker, polarcell and samsung. The samsung is the most expensive. The polarcell and anker are more or less the same price and most users said the polarcell performed the best. I have one of these and it's much better than the stock, so i sugest you buy a polarcell of amazon

You can't trust the mAh-specifications of most batterys anyway so I'd choose Polarcell since they last longer than the original ones.

You can't add another 930ma capacity on top of the standard 1500mah without increasing the size. It's a lie

Hello everyone,
i have a SGS+ with the stock battery of 1650mAh. I am wondering if it worth to buy one of 1800mAh such us the Polarcell you mentioned.
Which is the (average) difference on hours?
Thanks in advance!

I would say if your battery needs replacing anyway then yes buy the anker or polarcell, but if your battery doesn't need replacing then its not really worth 'upgrading'.

I've been using Polarcell for more than 6 months now. Better than my aging stock and utterly reliable so far.
