Today i did update to my chacha and i found an offical arabic update on htc to GB . 2.3.5
Just do the following
Settings > About phone > softwear update > check now
Enjoy but use Wifi

I am in egypt and my phone is S-on.
About google talk i dont use it , but using skype voice only which it working , hope video works soon

Yes you are right i have alot of experiance with jovi tronix they are ******
About the skype voive over wifi it anthor stupied thing from our egyptian cell providers they blocking it over GSM network this why you should use wifi
About google talk sorry to tell u that i dont have friends on google talk if u wanna try it with me send me ur email on pm message and we can try it but about video i dont think its gona work for this phase of updates i wish our developers here can run the front camra drivers over video phone call the video apps

I know that but i have hope and i am waiting for that Tool because HTC promised to make Bootloader unlock tool for chacha soon ..

I've tried to push it to system/app and set the permission to rw-r--r-- and reboot.. but maps just dissapeared..??? Any suggestions???

On Cyanogenmod 9.0.0. Beta 7 I changed in maps.apk, click on the installer package and that's it. Runs slower than previous maps, at least for me.

Did you try with Root Explorer?

I've tried that way too..
Didn't works with RootExplrr.
Set permission to rw-r--r-- like other system apps didn't works either..
The maps just dissapeared from apps drawer..

I am new to this Forum and to Android Device also.
Earlier i used Apple Iphone 3Gs , but now shifted to HTC One S
Problem i am facing is , i can't connect wifi from laptop to HTC one S through connectify
Through connectify,wifi sharing is available for other laptops and iphone , but it is not working for HTC one S

that we can see 3 options, but only 2 options are displaying in my connectify... i dont have wifi access point in the advance option...only ad hoc
I am working on Panasonic CF 29 laptop , Windows 7 Ultimate32 bit OS with Intel Pro/Wireless 220BG network Connection 9.1.1.15 version..
I tried Update Driver , it is saying as uptodate... but still the problem exists , i cant connect wifi and also Hosted Network is showing No (while i run a command in cmd prompt)
and one more thing while i used mhotspot also no use it is saying as the group or resource is not in the correct state to perform.
please guide me to enable wifi to my HTC one S android mobile also....

white wifi bars???

I got kinda white/grayish wifi bars and i dont know how to fix it so they get blue again...
Its on all the networks i connect to.
I know white means. Ur not connected to google...
Is it because i have root?

use droidvpn ,hotspot shield vpn.
works for me every time.
and u didn't connect to google fr a long u will need to factory reset then connect
.

no .if u haven't connected it after some time it won't connect anyway.so backup your stuff and fac. reset.
google it to see yourself.

My micromax A190 keeps getting porn site popups and adult apps are automatically downloaded. This happens whenever I connect to a Wi-Fi. Even when I have not allowed third party install the apps keep downloading? Why?

possible related to wifi connection. not sure
tried it myself.. when i connect to my home wifi i keep getting ads
but if its my neighbors wifi i get no ads.. dont know why..
hope someone can shed light to this

I also reset my phone to factory settings. But as soon as it connected with Wi-Fi the ads and apps started again

Then it Looks Like Some Bloatware is Present in Your device.. That's Make This Mess..But You Need Root to Delete these Things..

You don't have to root your phone, just Flash your phone with a fresh n original stock rom using compatible SP Tool , and it should be fine!
