Nook hd+. Nova 3 crash on startup? (rooted) - General Topics

My tablet has zeam launcher. just some info.
Now I'm posting this here because it has to be a root problem.
Today I bought nova 3 and it was working great for a couple of hours, but an hour ago it crashed and ever since it crashes on start up. (press the icon, and then a black screen comes up, then it closes) I'v re installed but it hasn't fixed anything.
Anyone got any suggestions to fix this problem?
(Additional info: I remember this happening, A LOT, on my ipod 4g, nova 3 would take several re-trys to load.)
Edit: after several hundred clicks It loaded. but I bet it'll just continue crashing again if I exit.

There have been a great problem in this game,
many people are complaining.
just if you have purchased the game then ask for a refund.

Widget Issues

I am and have been running Vegan 5.1.1 since day one with no issues other than the little quirks that have been discussed here. Anyway, lately when I load widgets all seems fine until I power down and then back up. The widget is just black and says "problem loading widget". I remove them and add again and all is well until I power down and back up again. Any insight or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Funny thing: a couple of days ago I started having the same problem, running TnT-lite 4.2.5.
Been busy over the weekend and didn't pick up my tab again until this evening, turned it on and experiencing it again; searching around in the forums for a fix.
Interesting. Most of other Android users get this after they move or install certain apps to SD, but on our tablet that option is non issue.
Will try clearing Dalvik-cache in CWM .8 and wipe cache see if that helps.

Just rebooted 3 times, without clearing anything and Widgets load fine. Hmmm.
What launcher?
Happens to me one in about every 30 starts. Gotten used to it so I just delete and reload widgets. Takes 30 secs. Think it might have something to do with when launcher starts in load sequence.
I've rarely seen this on ADW (both my DX and Tab). I just go into ADW settings and restart ADW.
I use Zeam as default, have LauncherPro and ADW installed.

[Q] G Tablet Cyan7.0 Market will not open

I have had my Viewsonic GTab for about 4 days now, and have probably wiped and reinstalled a half dozen mods trying to get a fully functioning Android Market. The closest I have come has been able to come only has gotten me the Market icon. But it opens a white screen which rapidly closes itself. I installed Cyanogenmod7 back to back with gapps-gb-20110307-signed.zip
After installing GApps the whole system becomes extremely buggy in general, including the home button not working. I am not concerned with that though.
I have tried many walk throughs but the vast majority of them are related to the less broken Market that you can at least semi-access.
I scoured through this and other sites looking for guidance before resorting to posting, so I hope I didn't overlook a thread that was related to this exact problem.
Regards,
Sacrifusion
Im having the exact same problem. Gmarket not force closing and homebutton not working within cyanogen
Anyone find the solution? I have had may Gtablet for months working great until yesterday. I am running CM7 daily release 5/24/11 and everything was working fine, added netflix mod to build.prop and ran it for a about a week no issues but now market opens then closes. Any help?

You have some incredible timing buddy. After weeks of my gtab just sitting in my bag, today I decided to pop Gingerbread on it w/ a fully operational Market and it's running smoother than I have ever seen it. But, I did run into a skirmish with Netflix (MOD 2) that semibricked it for a half hour. Wound up playing many back to back games of beat the clock as it would reboot after making it to the home screen for a few seconds before I was able to make it to the app manager fast enough to uninstall it. I know there were probably simpler ways to go about it, but I'm running on only a few hours of sleep.

Galaxy Tab continually pauses during gameplay

Guys,
I have a very weird problem that started a couple of days back with my Galaxy Tab.
I was running a game (game name does not matter as the problem happens in all games) when all of a sudden the 'Pause' screen came into effect.
After hitting any key to continue it played for around a further 20 seconds then it happened again... and again... and so on.
Some games simply pause whilst others will flip back to the reload the game screen then flip to the press continue to play screen.
Whatever it is it only effects games.
I have tried several reboots and looked at all my recently installed/updated Applications but can not ascertain what is causing the issue.
Further, whilst browsing through my installed Apps using the App 'System Panel' (to see if I could locate the offending App) I also noticed when I scrolled down through my installed Apps every few seconds the list would jump back to the beginning of the list.
No matter how many times I scrolled down after a few seconds it repeatedly jumped back to the beginning.
After about a minute or so it stopped doing this.
It's almost as if something is paging the system every so many seconds ~ which may also explain why when playing games it drops the game into Pause mode.
Anyway, the Galaxy Tab is a stock Tab unaltered. It is not rooted nor had a ROM change.
At this stage I do not wish to update the ROM nor perform a factory reset.
As a surgeon you investigate the cause of the problem and not simply give the patient a tablet to mask the pain and send them on their way..... I wish to do the same with the Tab, find out what is causing the problem and not just do a system reset.
Any ideas ladies & gentlemen?
Same problem
I have the same problem on my stock ROM tab.
It's nerve wrecking to reinstall everything again.

As the OP that reported this I feel for you.
I have no idea what caused the problem nor do Samsung.
All I can say is I switched the phone off one night because it was playing up that bad and used my Galaxy S that evening.
The following morning I switched the phone back on again and mysteriously the problem simply vanished.
All I can think is whatever was causing the problem must have been memory resident.
Killing the phone for a long period must have cleared the issue.
I have not come back and reported it is fixed yet as I want to do further tests just to make sure it has gone but more importantly try to find out what caused it in the first place.
In a way although I do feel for you I also am pleased someone else has the problem.
This proves it is not a totally isolated case and may crop up again.
The tests I am currently trying are with the external SD card.
Do you have an external SD card and did/does the problem happen only with games installed to the card?
I have found that all but one of the games were installed in this way.
The one game not installed to SD that when run pauses behaves in a slightly different manner in that it does not pause every 20 seconds or so but every 1 minute or so.
I am beginning to think the problem may be something to do with timing, memory and the external SD card.

[Q] Thunderbolt Slowdowns

Greetings,
I have an unrooted Thunderbolt running launcher pro. When I exit applications, often there is a significant delay in loading up the home screens. Sometimes it happens so often that the device becomes paralyzed for 15 or more seconds before my home screen along with apps pop in.
What are the reasons for this? I have tons of apps, many of which have not been moved to the SD card.
I have tried going back to sense, but the problem persists making me think it isn't a launcher related issue.
Thoughts?
so i get a better picture of whats happening
1. when you first installed launcher pro did it have this lag or did it happen latter.
2. by going back to sense do you mean uninstalling all of launcher pro.
3.- strange question i know but - have you completely powered off the device recently, by that i mean power off like normal and pull the battery then just let it sit for like 10 minuets.
Thanks for your prompt reply.
The problem persists even after taking battery out and restarting.
I did not uninstall launcherpro, I just switched temporarily back to sense to see if I could replicate the problem, and I did.
The problem seems to be getting worse as time goes on, the reason I think it may have to do with adding all of these free apps of the day from amazon.
When I initially installed launcher pro, I never had the problem.
I also seem to be having random reboots several times a day.

i think whats happening is your RAM running low on memory, sense uses a lot of RAM like 300+ Megs and you can't stop it unless you root.(not trying to peer pressure you or anything). but for the time being i suggest to go into settings/apps/running and see if you have apps running in the background that take a lot of memory space. and force stop the ones you don't use that often.
and as for the reboots could you check the baseband version in the about phone part of settings?

[Q] APEX hangups?

Anyone seen SEVERE lag (5s+) with Apex when going to the home screen? This all started a couple of weeks ago, every time the phone wakes up from a prolonged sleep, e.g. in the morning. I pull down the notifications bar, see emails arrived overnight, go straight to Gmail, read the emails then tap home to go to my home screen.... and nothing happens for a LONG time, sometimes in excess of 10s, but at least 5s. Not sure when I first noticed it and whether it was triggered by an Apex update or me installing something else. Things I have tried that make no difference:
1) Uninstall and reinstall Apex
2) Force quite Apex and flush its cache
3) Flush Davlik
4) Remove all widgets on all screens - on the assumption that Apex may be waiting on one of them to auto-update its info
When I switch from Apex to LG Home the problem goes away, but now I end up with a launcher that is always a tad laggy and not nearly as nice. I really would rather not give up Apex, so if anyone has suggestions please speak up. Thanks!
Desperation bump... I am seeing somewhat similar behavior on a tablet with completely different hardware running some other ROM so I am starting to think that it is partially APEX. However, even XGELS is showing this issue to an extent - every once in a while out of the blue it will lag for 1s or so. I am almost ready to wipe and reinstall from scratch. Any suggestions before I go through that pain?
Humm. I'll have to check over the next few days to see if it's Apex or Timely. I have had occasions where it has taken a bit for the phone to get back on-line. So far it seems a Timely issue, but I will get back here with a follow up on the coming weekend.
