P999 Flashed with P990 ROM - T-Mobile LG G2x

Since Wind names the G2x as 2x, I was confused and used the 2x AOI to flash/partition my phone. It was working well until I installed a 4.2.2 rom and I had not mobile network. Now when I try to flash 2.2 roms, it is just stuck at the logo screen.
When I attempt to flash back to the stock recovery through NVFlash, it gives me a 14 nvflash error. I've tried using the samsung support tools, but since I can't load into a ROM, it says phone is not connected.
Not sure what to do now, I just want to load the stock rom or any rom that will allow the phone to connect to the WIND network. Would something like this work?:

Any suggestion? All help is very very welcome! =)

It should. Post results after you try.

I need help I bricked my phone LG-P999 Optimus 2x V11H

Hi, I'm in need of some help, I got tired of waiting for the gingerbread update, so I decided to install cyanogenmod 7, I rooted my phonne no problem there, then tried to install cyanogen and now my phone is stuck on the Lg logo, what I'm asking if someone knows how to unbrick a phone, or if Lg can provide me with some links, there is a lot of info on the internet but none for my phone, I heard it can be done with NVflash or Smartflash but I'm not sure how to do it, I live in Canada my phone is the LG Optimus 2x LG-P999 V11H with Wind Mobile, thanks in advanced.
This is the P990 (O2X) forum...
Of you get over to the guys at P999 (G2X) they might help you

As HerrKuk said you need to head over to the G2X forum.
But if you can load a ROM onto your SD card then put on cyanogen mode for the G2X and flash that through CWM and in theory you should be ok.
I think you installed the P990 rom on P999 and that might have bricked the phone !!!

Uh... this is the g2x forum.
You say your phone is the optimums 2x (O2X), yet you say your model is the p999 (which is the G2X), so which is it?
Plus, if you can boot into recovery than you are not bricked. I agree with the post above to.

He's right, if you flashed that rom via recovery, just download a rom for your correct phone model onto your memory card and flash the rom the same way you did the first time through recovery.
My understanding is the partitions are set up differently on the P990 vs P999. There is thread somewhere about it. Flashing the wrong rom is reversible, but there are some steps involved.
Search the developers forum.

Me understanding if u flash a p990 rom onto a p999 phone u lose the baseband .... don't think they ever found a fix though
e
But try to boot into recovery assuming u flashed a custom recovery.... if u haven't maybe try using the recovery flasher in the g2x forum assuming its a p999 u have... if not well search n c if the p990 recovery can b flashed the same.
Good luck n keep us posted

Try this if nothing is working!!!!
Just follow the steps and install the stock ROM for P999 using smart flash !!!
If you have flashed ur device with some other device's ROM then u can't get into CWM if u r able to get into CWM recovery then try and install some other ROM for P999!!!
Note:- Flash done using using SmartFlash will remove the root and CWM as well.
So after flashing u need to again root ur device and install CWM if u want to be the root user else enjoy stock ROM!!

Same thing happened to me.
It's because when you use CWM you're supposed to flash CM7 twice... but nobody tells you that until you're bricked.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1180331
this saved my phone.
but it also loaded T-Mo stock 2.3.3 which cannot be rooted at the moment.

If u want to root ur device and install a custom rom then flash ur device to 2.2.x and then root and then install the any custom rom!!!
I didn't like the stock rom 2.3.3 due to memory and battery issue so switch back to CM7.1 !!!!

Yes i was trying to go back to the stock froyo because the only roms i can find for the lg p500-509 would be the cm7 and cm10. I have problems with both of them not working correctly so i'm trying to go back to the stock rom cause when i first rommed my phone i thought i set a restore but i did not
Use this to download the original LG software for your device, then use this to flash it.

[Q] Why am I stuck on recover even after Nandroid restore?

Here's phone info prior to the mess:
v21y
mokeeOS
latest gb harsh kernel
CWM v5.0.2.0
I went ahead and tried to flash a new rom and a new kernel. I guess it wasn't compatible and got stuck on boot animation for over 30mins. So i thought I'd pulled the battery. I did a nandroid restore (used it before and works) and it wont boot into the system. It just goes back to recovery.
Then I tried to flash mokeeOS and harsh kernel. After rebooting it goes back into recovery.
I tried many roms / kernels that previously work and it still goes back to recovery. I tried nvflashing recoveries (CWM touch, twrp), same thing happens. Now what should I do?
update: I flashed stock recovery. It shows an arrow going out the box and an android.
update: this clean up batch tool fixed it for me: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=24635755
Never heard you say you wiped/formatted anything
if not there will be residue from your old ROM/kernel and you may have the same situation

If that doesn't do you, then use the LG flash tool to flash the latest official OS and Baseband.

No sim network

Could do with some help after doing restore via LG mobile support tool.
UK p920 that was bought second hand and unlocked to all networks I am using a T-mobile[ UK] sim card
I updated from froyo to 2.3.5 gingerbread 2 weeks ago using LG mobile support tool. The sim card was in at the time.
update successful and then rooted phone all ok. Tried doing backup of current rom with rom manager and failed. also tried orange, and rom manager, none would backup anything. tried flashing rom and bricked phone!could not even get into a boot recovery. Last resort I used LG mobile support tool to download and auto re-install 2.3.5 (without sim card in) didnt think this would affect anything. Phone booted up and all is ok, did a titanium restore of apps and settings all ok, but cannot get the phone to connect to sim network-tmobile.
Current config; model number LG-P920
android version 2.3.5
baseboard version L6260_modem_sic_01.1042.00
kernel version 2.635.7+
build number GRJ90
software version LGP920-V21e-APR 19 2012
Has the recovery loaded the correct version for my phone?
I am a noob so please reply using basic language and instructions, thanks for reading.

Have you changed baseband ? Normally it is a baseband problem.
The rom must suit with the right baseband.
And watch if you have imei.
EDIT: are you on stock 2.3.5?
