Hello,
My first (and maybe last ) review.
I wanted a beautiful case for my beautiful nexus 4.
A "leather" one (well you never really know if it's some real leather, but anyway...).
TETDED cases looked very beautiful on some websites so i decided to buy one but had a hard time finding the Dijon III (Venus: Burgundy Red/ Toffee Yellow). I was afraid too it would look like too "girly", you will judge by yourself but i find it's not.
I bought it on aliexpress. I don't know if we are allowed to advert for some seller so i won't but you can find it easily if you type TETDED Premium Leather Case. It costs 38$ . I have ordered the 18th of february and received it today (18th of march, I live in Canada).
My pictures are not as good as the seller's ones but my pictures are real life you know :cyclops:
Pros : looks great, excellent build quality it seems to me (for 38$ it should be !), it clips (you know it's important when you have a flip case, it won't open by itself) i don't know if it's the best English word but i'm sure you will understand.
Cons : ... well... price ? (as always)

Forgive me but the case, while looks nice, looks like a pastry lol. Maybe I'm just hungry for dessert lol.

To me it reminded me some italian art... dont ask me why i dont even know
I would like to add that this case dont cover all the screens borders so you can touch the beautiful rounded edges of the screen. Yeah i like to touch the sides of the screen
It looks very nice, it reminds me of the vaja case I had on for my old iphone.

Opinions? The Android "guy" will be cut out so you'll see the "pretty" Nexus 4 back shining though. Be cutting one in a carbon fiber too. Hell...I have about 30 colors...may be kinda cool. Thoughts? Cost is very minimal to make them for myself so figure why not the small added protection for the back.

Worked very well actually. The vinyl I use is high end...so I was able to easily take it off with out any residue being left on he phone. Ive changed it to 4 colors in the last two days just for heck of it.

If you start selling these, I'll definitely buy a couple. With a glass back, something like this would become substantial to a lot people.

i'm doing this for mine too. I'm using a single hole-punch for the camera cutout. how did you cut out the speaker hole?

I'm using a $4000 dollar vinyl cutting machine to make them. I have a side business doing professional banners, prints...etc etc. So I made my own template based off of a Hi-Res scan I made of the rear of the device. So my "stickers" are a perfect cut every single time.
Carbon Fiber one will go on tonight. I think this will really look nice. I will upload pics when I have them. Never thought about selling them. I could even personalize them...instead of the Android guy I could put your XDA user name, dogs name...wife's? :laugh:
But in all honesty, if you really are wanting these I would have no problem making them for you guys. I'm thinking maybe $4 including USPS shipping. Carbon would be a dollar more (material is really pricey).

That's a little out of my price range for a "DIYer." It looks like a really clean cut.
I'd love to buy one if they can be highly customized. Is there any disturbance on the camera zoom with that small camera cutout?

Depends on the curves of the device. N$ is simple..its flat. Plus id need a scan of the rear of the device to I can create the template.

Looks like it's just a skin. I doubt it would actually act as a bumper and protect your phone if dropped though.

This is the same guy who was earlier offering 5000 n4 like bumpers (which he'd be receiving soon) with a single one costing 50$. I guess he finally got it and it turned out not to be aluminum as he thought.
I strongly suspect he got it from china (alibai etc) where they were showing n4 aluminium bumpers for a few bucks for bulk orders, if I remember correctly.

I believe the question should be "How amazing COULD that be?" I've seen shoddy leather work and I've seen amazing leather work.

These kind of skin is not going to stick well with the curved soft rubber edge of nexus 4.

I said this on phandroid hoping to get a reply from Joel, but I'll say it here too. It kinda looks like the backplate is removable. Wouldn't that be cool? A bumper case with backplates that are interchangeable. I'd be all over it. Cruzerlite make great cases and their prices are very reasonable. Can't wait for the preorder on this.

That hasn't stopped me lol....I ordered the xda case as well lol. That'll be my first cruzer case . I never tried them and seen them on other devices and seem good for the cash and a lot of peeps like em. That new "teaser" case looks nice as well, but if the XDA renders on the site are true to form, I'd be happy with that.

but now that I received my diztronic case today, kinda makes me regret saying that lol. the case feels great! If the fit is the same as diztronic, I'll stick to diztronic & will get the cruzerlite (the one on this thread) only when there's a sale :fingers-crossed:

heyy, I have been watching your videos on these cases over and over and over again, and other videos on cruzerlite cases for the nexus 4 and i cant decide on wether to buy the cruzerlite bugdroid cirtuit one or the cruzerlite clone army one....which one would you recomend out of the two? and why? and which one just looks the best? and FINALLY which colour would be the nicest? i was thinking about buying the green one but i dnt really know, so whuch colour would you also recomend?

Circuit ..no doubt... Why? Style that's all. I like the design better. Color? Smoke cause I can still see the back logo and it doesn't call much attention Atty the office but If I didn't work wearing a suit everyday I would go for the green

thanks for info, last question, is the green colour case really eye catching, like catches people's attention too much, cos i go to college, and i jus want something that looks nice really and not too catchy but then again be nice to look at?
right now my two options are the smoke and green, but i just dnt know which one to choose and i havnt got that kinda money to be able to buy both which i would love to do but cant
Yes it is VERY green and it will make your phone pop up like crazy .
You get a very cool factor and for sure you will be turning heads

Absolutely . I love the Diztronic as well. Very subtle very office looking case and good tpu as well . I actually made a comparison video on my channel as well

Has anyone had a chance to try out a underwater case for their s4 yet? I cannot seem to find a solid case.
I am looking for something similar to this:

Seidio is developing the obex case. Hopefully it will be available soon. Its waterproof up to about 2 meters I think.

Thanks, I already seen this case, but no one knows when it will be released, I personally like the look of the one I found on ebay but I do not trust the source or its build quality.

That one on eBay looks beautiful, do you think the back is plastic ? that panel on it...
I want to make my phone completely safe from any damage, as far as possible anyway, shock, water (just like a light rain or shower, would not trust the ebay one with submersion), and im a person that tends to break charge ports a lot so wireless charging is important to me... damnit Obex release already xD
I just want the underwater case to take pictures when I go in the water, im not worried about my device getting damaged and I don't really want the S4 active as the camera on it is only 8mp and lacks in root development.

If you change the volume button to camera key in the camera settings you would be able to take pictures underwater with any case. You would just press tge volume button while in the camera app to take a pic.

the one I found on eBay is only water resistant, it cannot be used or taken underwater...
so is there a case for our S4's that can be used underwater?
Well I was about to suggest Lifeproof, but:
1) they don't make a S4 yet.
2) they recently got bought by Otterbox in May, so
3) there will be a delay in development while Otterbox cleans house, consolidates, lays off all the marketing/sales/admin staff and maybe even the R&D folks...
4) then Otterbox will announce a "new addition" to their ARMOR line...

i jssss loving it... and it is reusable also... besides of bulky case that skin cover is really osm.. jsss wear it when u wants to put you device to underwater shooting....

How sturdy does it feel, As in, does it feel as though it could come open at any time ?
I contacted Seidio about the OBEX and they stated that it would be released quarter 3 of this year so that should be within the next month of so.

im not a big fan either but if u want to bring it to the beach or pool or something its nice to have.comes with the air pump so its sealed up like a big ass screen protector lol also comes with a little pen
