Samsung Galaxy S Duos (S7562) and UMTS (3G)

Hi Folks ,
the S Duos has two SIM-Cards and both work with WCDMA but not at one time. At one time only one of the SIM-Cards can be in a 3G net and the other could only do GSM.
Does anybody knows if this behavior is a hardware or software issue. My Galaxy is rooted, so software issue should be resolvable.
The background is: I want to have a dual SIM Phone for Japan. Japan only supports 3G - no GSM. So my hope is that the Galaxy S Duos could work with both SIM-Cards in 3G.
Best regards and Thanx

HDC i9300 plus roaming?

I have bought a Chinese hdc i9300 plus "clone" for a couple of weeks ago..
512mb ram MTK6577
I have a problem that it will never connect so i can use the internet outside my WiFi if i not have the "roaming" connection marked, i then have the
roaming symbol on the top all the time, I live in EU, it dosenĀ“t matter if i test many different sims with different operators same problem.
If i take my sim and use it on my original htc one x no problem no roaming, APN is correct in the Chinese phone.
Can you fix this problem? Internet does work but its annoying to have the roaming sign always there, my operator says that its no problem if i only have it on my country and not take it abroad.
Don't know if anyone else have the same problem when the use their clones hdc outside china with roaming? Maybe its something with the Chinese android version?

GSM problem samsung galaxy core ( tracfone ) s820l

hi guys
i got this phone ( galaxy core prime - s820L ) and tried to use it with gsm card
but there is no network shown !!
when i checked the network mode it shows just LTE / CDMA and CDMA
is there any way to make it work with gsm networks ??
please guide me
thanx in advance
While the Samsung Galaxy Core Prime does have a SIM card slot, it is a CDMA phone. Switching the SIM for a GSM card will not do anything. I have had two phones that required SIM cards, that are CDMA. My other was a ZTE Warp 4g. While there are ways to transfer to other CDMA networks, swapping the SIM will do nothing for you.

Galaxy S7 Dual SIM (SM-G930FD) Tethering SIM 2

Hi guys,
I bought my G930FD about a month ago and I have started running into a rather annoying problem:
it seems that tethering only works if SIM1 is use for the data connection. If one attempts to use SIM2 for data and then tether (regardless if one uses WiFi, Bluetooth or USB), the connected PC is unable to use the internet connection. I tried several ROMs (including unadulterated G930FD stock) and SIM-cards (Vodafone NL, Base DE and NTT Docomo JP). Nothing seems to help, so I am now asking you guys. Is there anybody who has any idea how to fix this? I recon the trouble lies somewhere in the tether settings that doesn't get properly switched to SIM2 data. So any help would be greatly appreciated.
What if you're on SIM 2 but turn data off for SIM 1? (or turn off SIM 1 completely)
I'm experiencing the same problem. On a dual sim S7 edge and when tethering the connected system just can't get on the internet. Also switching the sims to other slots doesn't seem to work. The strange thing is that tethering does work on one of the sims but only when roaming...
Same problem! Any solution?
Sorry to ressurect this thread, but I just bought a J7 dual-sim and am having the same problem (hotspot working only with the SIM that is roaming, but never with the non-roaming SIM). Did anyone find a solution? This is extremely annoying, if it cannot be fixed the J7 is clearly very poorly made.
