I kind of understand that you'd expect TiBu to backup the entire thing, but big games are usually in at least those 3 pieces (app, game data, state/save data). The easiest thing would be to use ES file explorer or another root explorer and just save the 1.5gb manually. I also don't know why it wouldn't be right where you left it after the ROM update, unless you are one of those people who wipe everything and then install a new ROM and then restore everything again.
TiBu will save your game state data, which will have your progress and saves in it. It will also save the APK, but it won't save all of the other game data, such as maps, worlds, equipment, art, etc.

I'm using Titanium backup already (free version). Should I back up apps and system data? Normally I just back up apps.
I just wanted to share a app that work pretty good for me. I love to try out what all the devs have created so this lets me backup my apps with data and flash via cwm or twrp. https://play.google.com/store/search?q=app2zip
This app is very useful. Backup all your apps and than flash them with cwm. Sort of like titanium backup with a extra feature.
does this backup apps
or apps+appdata?
Both and restores both. Works great for most apps, I haven't had much success with google play and I think Gmail.

How is this app different from go backup? Instead of flashing .zip file I restore my app+data backup from go backup. Any advantages?
I use titanium for my backup most of the time but I have used this before and it's pretty spiffy. Wrap all your apps into one huge zip file and flash them back all at once. I would say the advantage is... in the eye of the beholder? Actually I just put titanium pro in a zip and use it to do the rest. I could never get it to zip itself in a way that would work for me.

Hello, I recently rooted my Samsung galaxy s captivate and have been reading up on the flashing of custom roms ( planning on getting serendipity 9). Any ways, I was just wondering, when I back up my current rom, after installing the new one, is there any way to restore the content without restoring the whole rom?

When you talk about your APPS....please use titanium backup...it always works.
Yes, Titanium backup is great. Although one downside is that you need to root your phone before you can make a full backup. So you would first have to root the stock ROM, make a titanium backup, then flash a new ROM, then restore the backup.
Mybackup root is good for SMS and call log.

Im already rooted and I have the titanium backup free version. I don't see anywhere that I can make a full backup just individual apps and info ( sorry for being duh an android noob, I'm used to jailbreaking iPhones which is child's play)
Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe u need the paid version to back up batches. Free is individual apps but I may be wrong

You can batch backup in free version but u need the paid version to batch restore. Free version only allows u to restore one app at a time.

On titanium backup, select backup/restore, after a short delay, top right look for an icon that looks like a sheet of paper, with a tick , select it, the next page look to see where it says backup all user apps n data, think it seems second or third option in the backup section.

Those are saved onto the SD card, no need to backup those (unless you really want to). Wiping the phone before a flash does not wipe the SD card.

Hi, i have purchased this Game Asphalt 7 Heat , size of game is about 1.4GB [ can see in game data thru settings->application], can any one point me if i can back it up for Rom Flash. Currently I'm on 31Aug cm10. as we all know it will be updated soon and so i will .
just wish to save some 3g data if possible.
[ No piracy in thought ]
Tried titanium backup Pro, AirDroid [fail to copy paid app], Es root Explorer but back up size is very less about 2 mb where as the game itself in google play says 1.4GB.

I use my backup pro, it gave me trouble last time I used it but there has been an update for jb . Also heard app2zip is good, it make a cwm flashable backup.
Was it purchased through the play store? If yes, when you log in again it will show purchased and you can download again. But the data is gone. I have had to start games over because of that. You can also try Titanium Pro . It should store data too.

If you are just updating CM10 a wipe of cache and dalvik cache should be fine.
May be this work
Hi, this is just assumption will check in next rom flash.
the data game downloaded is in sdcard->android->obb->com.gameloft.android.ANMP.GloftA7HM this is folder which contain all data, to be specific in this one file is approx 1.3GB.
so to my thought i need to back up the app by any application like titanium backup or ES Explorer and copy this folder (In case i'm not going to format sdcard no need to backup)
then in next update all i need is to install the backup app (with the above folder intact ).
Working !

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.keramidas.TitaniumBackup&hl=en
Thanks for the reply. But if the apps disappear when the new rom is flashed, does titanium app not also disappear..??

Yep. You backup your apps in Titanium, flash the new ROM then download Titanium backup again and restore your apps. It's quite self-explanatory if you actually tried using the app.
It creates the backup files on SD card, so that on data reset, the app vanishes but it's files remain in SD. So you should download titanium backup once you flash a new ROM and it will take care of apps further.
You can even backup the app data with TB, like your app settings, game data etc.
But I've seen that restoring game with data doesn't always work well.
But it works cool with other apps.
LIFE! Enjoy it while you Still have it!

You can restore all of your apps by your Google Account.
In fact, go to your settings:
=> backup and reset
=> look if Backup my settings is ticked (if not - tick it)
=> look your backup account, if it's good
=> Look Automatic Restore is ticked (if yes, it's good for you, if not it's bad, but tick it for the next time)
And if you see that Automatic restore is ticked, just synchronize your Google account, and let's play.
All of your Apps ans Settings will be restored

You can get titanium backup to create a flashable update zip with all your apps, if you flash rom, gapps and then the update zip titanium will restore all the data for the apps after the phone restarts
