[Q] Cyanogenmod 10.1 HTC one s - General Questions and Answers

Recently rooted and flashed cyanogenmod 10. 1 m2 on my HTC one s, the widgets on the lockscreen work fine but I don't get shortcuts like in stock jellybean or cyanogenmod 10 has anyone else encountered this?

You mean like the ones you get while unlocking?
You can set them up under lockscreen settings, slider shortcuts.

I've set them up but it's as if they aren't there, when I press the unlock key, the pin unlock keypad shows up rather than the circular options to select different actions.

They work as they should on mine.!
May be the set up lockscreen widgets are doing that. ( if you have) Try any other 3rd party lockers if there is no way to fix it.

No not htc. It's motorola atrix2 . Unofficial cm10.1.

I tried using holo locker but I also had to go through the stock cyanogenmod lockscreen as well

Everything is working pretty well + getting a good battery life...

Confirmed working, though I haven't thoroughly tested, it seems pretty stable, similar to MIUI but at the same time different. I actually quite liked it, unfortunately the Chinese characters here & there did my head in. They're not everywhere but I didn't like them on the dialer especially.
Bnd you might wanna mention in description that this is v2.3.7 android.

Hmm.. i forgot to mention android version part..will update after my classes are over..
Instead of stock dialer i use go dialer.
Its customisable and speedy..you must try that..
+ note this is initial release ..am trying to do everthing to make it perfect..

2 bugs to post I don't no if its the same with every cyanogenmod but the camera and camcorder stutters when your just viewing and not taking photos and part of the homescreen shows on the notification bar and stays there until I reboot, minor bugs but hope u can fix but apart from that its a slick and cool Rom

As of lewaOS source ROM , It does not have livewallpapers..

don't forget the translations...
ROM is pefect.no lag and very fast

Very cool ROM - but only English and China locale.
So there is no German input and no German dictionary

what's the name of clock widget?

i just discovered a disadvantage....there is no FM app

Love this rom but some apps like calendar there is too much in Chinese so unusable. Hope more can be translated in to english.

Scroll down to where it say quiet on pickup...
Uncheck those 3 options
Go boot to CWM and wipe battery stats. Should be under the advance settings

Edit :- works fine on CM12 attaching some ss,
btw i wasn't able to get log for AOSP 5.1 as i tried installing by flashing zip didn't worked so checked if your mentioned folder exists in system/app with all files as per flashable zip or not & permissions as well everything was fine then went ahead & did factory reset & tried same again but didn't worked so went ahead & checked all apk's installed to check if keyboard apk is installed or not & as i guessed it wasn't so last option to install manually & make it system app with proper permissions but while installing manually normal mode & forcefully via adb didn't worked parse error & i guess until a app is not installed there is no way to get logcat
& thanks for awesome keyboard mate please can you add numbers row cheers :good:

in language & input settings press on "actual keyboard" , on the popup again press. "choose keyboard" then u can activate it.
also make sure the app is in your system. good luck

thanks for your support, i have found the problem: the root/recovery app doesn't works good on my phone, the file is partial and i cant copy/move in "manual mode" your apk because I can't write/overwrite files without corrupt it...

Cleaned data and didn't work. I flashed using TWRP, also tryed manual setup. Android version is 4.4.4.

Does it support Chinese input? Can the 5th number row on the top be activated? Thanks

Almost perfect on Nexus 5 Android 5.1 Cataclysm. Only problem I had was the Fc when I was trying to download additional languages. As workaround I was installing an older port of Z3 keyboard, download the desired languages and the flash again this keyboard. Tho the problem might be with SELinux permissive but is too late for me to test. For now I'm happy fhat I managed to make it to work. Was expecting for long time for a material Xperia keyboard (best OEM keyboard in my opinion). Tomorrow I'll test if the issue is with SELinux or not.

you can rename the apk to your wishes. (doesent affect anything but i think if same package name inside it will delete one of them after reboot) or you install 2nd keyboard lik google one, then backup current xperia keyboard to SD, delete from system, manual install my keyboard.

No, it is only for sense 6 .

I also have not tried on cm12

What chipset to choose there is no 816 chipset

It works only with SIM out .I cant unlock my SIM card .a5ul.

Use APQ8040 chipset for HTC desire 816.. all models ..

Flashed 3 times and i got the same error .cant unlock phone with my Pin. When i remove SIM phone works.

Don't know why but it worked well with dwg version.

I followed steps listed above and it softbricked my a5_ul. Now i cant even turn on screen it only works when plugged to charger. Also i cant turn off my phone which prevents me from going to recovery...
EDIT: Managed to turn off my phone with an app. Going to give it another try.

bonczas dont flash it it .It will not work.... I think it works only on dualsim. The only thing that works is dolby audio.

Okay thanks for information.
As I couldn't restore TWRP backup from forum I decided to flash InsertCoin rom.
I think I can safely say that as for now it is far better than stock 5.0.2 Lollipop.

Yep . only minus is that gps and magnetic field sensor dont work. End of offtop..

I applied this patch and its working great on my a5_dug. There is only one problem annoying me, when ever i restart the phone i always get the no sim card msg and if the screen turns off i cant turn it on unless i do another restart, after that everything works fine.
So in order for the phone to work properly i have to do 2 restarts.
Anyone experience this issue and is there a fix for it?

I managed to fix it. The problem was in the Telephony apk.

The screen rotation being 90deg wrong so when I put the tablet in landscape it shows the portrait layout but the touch functionality is correct so it follows the landscape layout when in landscape.
