Can I use my xoom as a player for 3D movies on my 3D TV?
I can convert the 3D movie to appropriate format if this possible.
Details: I use QQ player/ Mobo player or Rock player. I have the HDMI cable. I have a samsung 3d TV. I also use Handbrake.
if i can run 3d movies on my non-3d laptop into our samsung 7100 series 3d tv, im assuming the same principle will work with the xoom. just beware it will only output 720p

I want a video player or a tweak that can make my optimus 3d play 1080p without small stutters.
Te build-in cannot do this, although its close.
I use hdmi to view the video on tv and the stutters are really noticeable.
I have a genuine class 10 microsd card, so i dont think its the card.

I dont know exactly but this phone cant handle 1080p 3D natively, i mean cant decode video 3D at 1080P, just simulate that 3D...
And wait for Gingerbread or overclock kernel, maybe you get better performance.
yes he can... played lot of 1080p 3D mkv and was so smooth...

Hi,
I wonder if the Optimus 3d plays smoothly MKV High Profile 4.x or 5.x Full HD (high bitrate) as the Galaxy S2 plays ....
if so, is made by HW or SW? (s2 is the HW galaxy, right?)
thanks,
Try mvideo player from market, it plays mkv containers.

sorry, i cannot even Optimus .... I intend to buy it, but I wonder if it will play this type of video file ....
Part of full HD movies should play fine without any lags.

Hi,
New to the world of Android and loving it so far. We have two new devices. The wife has a TF300T and I have an HTC Evo 3D (Evo V technically). Would like the option to use these as remote controllers for a media center.
I was wondering if people had any media center recommendations? Should it be Android powered as well?
I was checking this out but I don't know how compatible it would be with our devices? The price is what caught my eye of course.

If your just looking for something simple that is wife friendly, how about a roku player? There is a roku remote app. I'm not sure what kind of streaming you'd be looking to do but it works for what I need (Netflix, Hulu & streaming video from my pc using playOn)

We really don't pay for any streaming services. I'd like it to be able to play any video format. Have a fairly large xvid collection. I thought being able to control it from her transformer would be a neat thing.
I agree that a Roku box is probably your simplest option, but from what I can tell it doesn't do xvid. It will play files from a USB flash or hard drive, but only files it supports (MKV and MP4 H.264, I believe).
I stream xvid using playOn. There is a cost to it though, it's $20 a year (at least it was last year)

The tablet has to have a 3D screen, you can't just play them and it will work, the tablet has to support 3D Playback. what tablet do you have. I don't know any tablets with a 3D screen.

AW: [Q]How to pay 3d videos on android tablet
So... Your tab has a 3d screen? Never heard of that as well. If thatsreally the case, try to play your files with the "built in" video Player or read the info for your tab, it should be stated which format it can play.
Edit: troll? I did a quick search and there are no 3d mid tabs. They all even run Android 2.2 Froyo or 2.1 Eclair. Mate your screen is not 3d. If somebody told you its 3d, he trolled you or you misunderstood him saying that the tab can run 3d games...

They are talking about anaglyph 3d. Using red/blue glasses. You can find media players to play for a computer that play mp4 3d. I've looked and there isn't anything on the market to play these mp4 files on an android tablet. They just play side by side. I'm using a nexus 7.
So as we all know, Video Player is an insanely bad resource hog...Well, what alternatives are you using, to replace it?
I'm looking for an nice video player that doesn't hog squeeze your data

Yep. MX player ftw.

MX Player is my favorite but I keep the stock player for the ALLSHARE support
I use also mx player but here is a great thing that official player does and no other. When you have allshare cast dongle and you play a video in TV the phone doesn't show the video which 1st is battery saver and 2nd you use your phone doing anything you want and video in TV still plays in TV. It's a great feature and I haven't found any other player to be able to do that.

i find the video player on the note3 not as good as the note 2..
on the note 2 it played avi divx no issues... on this note 3 it is not compatible with some of the formats.

Same thing with using a mhl 2.0 adapter. I found it especially important that the screen doesn't play when connected since mhl 2.0 allows you to connect the mhl without a power source which is super handy on the fly. I haven't test going out of video mode while playing a video with mhl yet though. Might pick up a allshare if the price goes down (my mhl adapter was only $10), does the allshare lag much? I like to play racing games on the big screen every once in awhile (no noticeable lag with mhl) but heard that might be an issue with the dongle.
Diceplayer
MXplayer (does not play certain audio codecs.)
VLC player beta
BSplayer
Dice and vlc are fully free and play everything.

No stay with the cable for games, the lag is minimum with dongle but noticed. Quality is fine and I noticed that phone sends to allshare dongle sustained 900 to 1100kb/sec so whatever reason is making the connection not to be perfect cast automatically lowers resolution but I noticed that only once.
