[Q] Modifying Stock JB Rom to prompt to open a custom app on startup - Android Software/Hacking General [Developers Only]

I need a custom ROM based on Android 4.2 (jelly bean) stock ROM with following change:
When device is first started (very first time or after factory reset), it display standard set up screen where Android asks user to select WIFI; Enter Google Account information. Once that is done, standard Android Stock Launcher is Displayed.
What I need is after the initial set up is done, I need to show user a prompt with yes or no to start another app (that will be pre-installed on the device) that is already added to the stock ROM instead of stock launcher app. The prompt need to be displayed as overlay on stock ROM.
If user says yes, this another app (instead of stock launcher app) should be started. If user says No, stock launcher should be displayed.
I will appreciate if anyone can give me pointers on what I need to do to get this implemented?
Thanks!!

After installing go to languages and input and check Android Key board
Hope it will be useful.
Download and Install
Now, getting it on your device is going to be easy for some of you, and less easy for others. You'll need to be on Android 4.0+, to start.
If you're on a phone with a UI overlay that has the stock keyboard disabled (eg, Samsung TouchWiz, HTC Sense, Sony), you can just download the apk below- no root required. To install, make sure you have "install from unknown sources" enabled in your phone settings, and after installation, go into your phone's keyboard settings and enable "Android keyboard." Then, you can switch to the new keyboard. This may also work on some "stock" Android custom ROMs - but it will not work on stock Android builds distributed by Google.

If the apk doesn't work, you're running a phone that is either A.) running stock Android (as in, AOSP), or B.) running software that has the stock Android keyboard as an option, you'll need to download this ZIP file, and flash it in recovery. That also means you're going to need root. as you'll be writing to /system/apps. Before you do, though, either back up the stock keyboard (if you don't know how, you probably shouldn't be doing this) or create a full image backup, just in case. Here's that ZIP file:

[Q] CM10.1 + openpdroid - Multi User does not work

Hello
I have an unrooted P5110 with CWM and trying to get "CM 10.1.1 stable" patched with openpdroid AND multi User function.
Reason:
with openpdroid I would like to restrict unnecessary rights of apps, in particular for games used by my kids
with Multi Users in combination with the "Multi-User App Share" App I want to define which Apps are visible to my kids- I.e. I can make only their games visible and hide anything else.
First of all I tried the cm-10.1.1-p5110.zip from the official CM website to check if Multi Users really work now with JB 4.2 - yes, it does. After creating a new user I can log in and will be guided through the setup procedure - very nice, also to keep my wife's and my own data separate!
Then I patched this ROM with openpdroid via ApG. This was successful and the ROM installed was stable with the exception of a single point: Multi Users does not work anymore!
I can still add a user,
Code:
pm get-max-users
shows that 5 users are enabled.
I can also add a "new user" (Settings/Users) bringing me to the login-screen after I confirmed I will set up the new user now.
But when trying to log in as a New User, the Setup crashes and I get a black screen with a series of error messages:
Code:
Unfortunately Setup wizard has stopped.
Unfortunately, Adroid keyboard (AOSP) has stopped.
Unfortunately, Google-Text-to-speech Engine has stopped.
Unfortunately, android.process.acore has stopped.
Unfortunately, Calendar Storage has stopped.
Unfortunately, Google Search has stopped.
Unfortunately, cLock has stopped.
Unfortunately, Maps has stopped.
These error messages are recurring in random order, I need to press "OK" to get the next. The only way to get out is keeping the power button pressed for some seconds and cancelling the Reboot dialog. Then I can log in again (as primary user), the error messages appear once again and then it's OK again.
Since the fresh install of the unpatched ROM works but the patched with openpdroid not, I think I can relate this issue to the patch - isn't it?
I also tried gapps gapps-jb-20130301-signed and the newer gapps-jb-20130606-signed for JB 4.2.2 - but both don't remove this error.
Questions:
Did anyone else experience such an issue and knows how to fix this?
I'm not experienced in patching, so ApG was the first choice. Do you think patching via Linux in a Shell would make a difference?
Or are there any other solutions?
thanks & best regards
Marco
