my Gmail app works in multi window mode. Is it possible to have it open attachments in the other window?

I'm confused as it seems that only a few of my apps work with the split screen functionality. I am on 4.1.2 is there something I'm missing?

The only one with good reviews requires rooting. Does anyone here recommend one?
Is anyone else unable to type into any app open in pen window such as hangouts? I use SwiftKey and it opens but when I type Google now seems to open behind the pen window and the text entered the Google box...
Also whatsapp is no longer supported...
Any ideas?

My other phone's a Ferrari.
The same bug is present in multiwindow, whenever I try to type into the top window it enters the text into the bottom window

Same on my N3. Opening a penwindow for the browser and typing into the browser input results in a strange keyboard behaviour and then landing in google search.
So weird.... Joe do we report it to Samsung?

So you mean Pen Window and Multi window? If you are not rooted, MW-PEN App Enabler is one solution.
No I have root and all my apps available for multi window already. I am talking about when you have the multi window bar open, instead of dragging an app into multiwindow, you can tap it and it will create a pop up window. I guess this is the same as pen window so I would like to expand the options for either or both.

Try Pen Window Manager. Run it, select your app you want support for, click the save button on the upper right, reboot, then go into the side bar and add the app to the side bar using the edit function. Works for both pen and pop-up function but not for all apps. Be aware that every time an application you enable gets updated it will have to be re-enabled.

Just wondering if it's possible to remove the Email app in 5.0?
I think it's stupid that all the Email app does is tell you to use the GMail app for all accounts. I got and understood that the first time i launched Email, and now I'd like to remove the app (or at very least the Icon) if possible.
Thanks!
Disable the app
Edit: From the app drawer drag up to app info and then choose disable.

Hi.
Get these 2 pop ups every time I click the messaging shortcut to access text messages.
First the android system one then the messaging one. They disappear when I touch them
This has happened since I wiped phone last week.
Any ideas how I get rid of it thx?

What app do you have running to have the shortcuts? Or is that a lock screen?

Does it happen if you open messages from the app drawer too?
If not, delete the homescreen shortcut and add it again from the apps drawer
Also check default application settings, messages is set as default messaging app
