[Q] Problem with Sixaxis Controller apk on PACman v21.0.0 - HTC Desire S

Hi all, i was using cyanogenmod 7.2 and the apk Sixaxis Controller to play games with ps3 gamepad using bluetooth.
Now i have installed PACman v21.0.0 and this apk dont work well, i think is for bluetooth driver, but as PACman is based on Cyanogenmod, i think the bluetooth driver will be the same, but i see that not...
The apk seems work well, but when i put power on in the gamepad, it dont connect with my phone.
There are any way to resolve this issue?? Or anyone know any recent ROM that work this program?
I was tested JellyTime too and have the same problem.
Of course i have all steps to pair controller and all, i was using the apk more time before installing new ROM's.
Thanks a lot!

Try flinny's testbuilds of CM10 /CM10.1
I got it working some time ago on CM10, but it could be that it won't work on Android 4.2.x anymore, because it uses another bluetooth stack and many users had problems with bluetooth also...

Thanks a lot, but i tryed this ROM and cant try nothing because all time have issues with screen keyboard, every 5 seconds show a window saying "keyboard has to be closed" or something like.
I like to try this ROM but is impossible to do nothing with this issue

Have you done a full wipe?
If not, donwload the latest CM10 test build and the latest 4.1.2 GAPPS and try again.
Verify MD5 before flashing

Im using the latest version, i was buy this App original.
Sixaxis Controller v0.6.1

My question now is if i was doing well the wipe, or there are other mode to do Full Wipe.

I now try again ROM [Flinny] Andromadus - CM10.1[19], and work fine.
The sixaxis controller apk dont connect with controller
Wait for a solution, thanks anyway ^^

Wait, are you sure that you set the BT Adress of the controller right?

Yes, i pair with pc program BT adress. I know how to do, because i use it the last year with cyanogenmod 7.2 and Works perfectly.
The apk show now "listening for controllers", i touch the power button of sixaxis controller original of PS3 and not connect.
I read in apk's webpage that its a bluetooth protocol problem with some HTC phones, and it can be solved installing ROM's like Cyanogenmod.

Yes the protocoll is missing in the HTC Kernel, but the Andromadus kernel should fix that...
I'll test it tomorrow whit Flinny's CM10.1 Build 18 .

I see this thread more times every day for see if anyone answer my problem
Thanks all ^^

Well, you're right, it just does not find the controller...
I think it's a problem with jellybean 4.2.2 or the latest version of sixaxis controller...
;aybe you can find some useful things in the logcat, I don't have enough time now to do that, because I have finals next week :S

Good luck in your finals, sure that you will get everything right

I now have my new phone, at the finish i buy the Cubot M6589 and Works very good. I taste sixaxis controller in this new phone and it dont work neither.
I see now "Could not load HCI library" "error, failed to configure bluetooth" "Disconnected"
Need Help

As I said before, it may be the new bluetooth stack...
Did you test CM10 with Android 4.1.2?
I don't have a way to test it now, maybe you could test that with your old DS

help getting sixaxis on my sensation

hi ive been reading up on topic but cabt find an answer since im pretty new to this sort of thing i have rooted my sensation but is still s-on wondering if any 1 could explain how to get sixaxis app to work on my phone. I've read sumwere thy you need cynagoen mod to b able to get it to work but don't no wich Rom to download any 1 could explain or know of a guide
Thanks in advance to any 1 willing to help
sounds like you're on the right track.
I don't know too much on the topic but I recall sense builds lacking support. An AOSP build should work fine. Try a cm9 nightly or rc2. Of course, you'll have to live with whatever current shortcomings there are with those roms.
I think it doesn't support the sensation so it wont work at all but not sure tho..

sense bluetooth stack is gimped.
Aosp builds should work. There's an app on the market called sixaxis compatibility checker or sth like that. Try any cyanogen roms etc and run this app to see if the Rom u r using supports it.
Edit: sense roms won't work!

I'm picking up an official PS3 controller in the next few days so I'll let you know if & how it works.
I am running a custom rom though - AOKP Milestone 6 - as since it is Cyanogenmod based it should work better with bluetooth, but I'll try it with a standard Sense rom too to see if it works for kicks.
Your best bet might be to buy a Phonejoy as it works with the stock Sensation. If you're in any doubts email them & ask :

JellyBean - JELLYTIME for DHD/Inspire4g - Beta 10 wifi problem

So after installing this amazing rom and loving it for a week or two; I see a kernel update and install it. Everything went smooth but I lost my wifi after the fact. I was hoping someone could help me keep the kernel and get the wifi going. nothing about wifi problems were stated and it work fine previously. I wiped everything and even tried the wifi fix manager thingy i got with the ics rom i was running previously to see if that would do it but to no avail. I wanted to ask the developer but need some 10 post so help a bro out!
p.s....gotta give props to the man who had me running jb before anyone of my friends with newer phones!!! RANDOMBLAME!!!!

ditto, this happend with my Paranoidandroid install as well. kernel allowed me to stay running without crash, but wifi is a pretty big letdown...
unfortunatly, without the kernel itself being fixed, or the wifi module fixed, we are stuck looking for another alternate kernel... oh yeah, we are pretty limited.

So I'm only using it with jelly time or jb. I'm flashing the os then the kernel cuz the os installs its own. This is an updated kernel for the os.I'm thinking i should maybe wipe the cache partition after the the os then do the kernel but at the same time I would think that other problems would be happening if that was the issue. What do you think?

does the system function without the kernel update?
if it does, you might want to hold off on updating til the ROM updates for it.

JB 4.2.1 Andromadus Test builds CM 10.1 - Bluetooth working!!!!

Hi Developers and Testers
Update: Upgraded to
[Flinny] Andromadus Test builds - CM10.1[10] Bluetooth working
[Flinny] Andromadus Test builds - CM10.1[9] Bluetooth issue - no change, patienece is needed
[Flinny] Andromadus Test builds - CM10.1[8] Bluetooth issue as below no change - unfortunately
[Flinny] Andromadus Test builds - CM10.1[7], still Bluetooth issue, acknowledged by developer Flinny as upstream i.e. google issue
However please check as below Samsung Galaxy S running with CM 10.1 no BT issue - Why?
[Flinny] Andromadus Test builds - CM10.1[6], unfortunately Bluetooth issue continues.
[Flinny] Andromadus Test builds - CM10.1[5], unfortunately same issue for Bluetooth.
Still connecting (pairing) but can not make call or receive call
Unfortunately I do not have enough posts so I can not add to the thread
[14-12-12][Flinny] Andromadus Test builds - CM10.1[4] (Development Section)
where this finding would belong, maybe somebody could paste it there http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2031694.
I am testing the [14-12-12][Flinny] Andromadus Test builds - CM10.1[4] and it works great with my Desire S. Thanks Flinny for the sensational work.
However as with other testers I can not operate my in car Bluetooth speaker system, it connects (pairs) however I can not make or receive calls.
Following the thread it was mentioned that Google changed the Bluetooth code, therefore it would not work, especially with older build in Bluetooth car speaker systems
Today I installed on my second android device Samsung Galaxy S9000 CM 10.1 ROM (cm-10.1-20121221-NIGHTLY-galaxysmtd.zip) and tested bluetooth. I could pair, connect and make and receive calls. So I do not believe it is the Google code as such that is the issue for the BT not working with inbuilt car speaker system.
Could you experts please comment.
thanks,
Kla
Have a great productive 2013

If you're not on 4EXT, flash 4EXT and reflash the ROM, then try again.

Hi Jann,
I am using clockworkmod recovery.
Could somebody please explain why 4ext would make a difference to the BT issue?
Is there a compile error in clockworkmod?
thanks in advance.

I really don't know why, but it should solve this issue...
Just try 4EXT

I'm not an expert but the recovery ain't the reason. Everyone using the rom, no matter what recovery he flashes with, has it.
It is a bug and the developer has been working on it.

New Bluetooth stack by Broadcom?
The new bluetooth stack (broadcom) seems to be causing a lot of problem with many users. Why did Google decide to use it anyway?
Could anybody tell me what the supposed advantages of this new stack would be?

[Q] Lose Tethering - HTC One S Jelly Bean 4.2.2

Hi, just upgraded my HTC One S to Jelly Bean 4.2.2. Everything works perfectly, but lose my Wifi hotspot tethering. My PCs can connect to the phone with proper IP address, but it cannot pass to the web. I had the same problem in the past with HTC Vision, but resolved it by upgrade the Radio ROM. In this case, I have not been able to find any new radio ROM beyond my current version 1.08ts.50.02.16-10.08e.50.04L Anybody have solution for this? Thanks.

Thanks - did the flash to the latest nightly and it is rather stable. Nice. To make the tethering working better, I found this from the xda that really seal it with ice on the cake: Temporary-Radio-Installer-V2.zip Not sure if this is unique to my Ville, but it does really well after flashing this file. Good luck for those might need it.

Well not sure if our problem in US is the same in Spain, but will spell out the steps for your consideration, assuming your own risk of disabling your phone. For HTC One S s4 variant to get tethering working properly, we went through this:
1) download and flash the latest CM10.1 level: http://get.cm/?device=ville
2) download and flash the radio file, assuming that you will take the EU version "Radio from RUU_Ville_U_HTC_Europe_1.78.401.2 [Recommended] (update by rhcp)" : http://ville.giev.de/?page_id=42
3) download and flash the latest Google Apps package: http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-jb-20130301-signed.zip
4) download and flash the radio installer file for "Temporary Radio Installer ON ALL HBOOTS CM10 and CM10.1 and Sense JB ROM's (needs to be flashed every ROM flash) v2!" : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=34271913
Now you can reboot and it should be fine.
Good luck!
Many thanks for spelling that out. I have confirmed I'm S4 at least!
Doing some more checks and should hopefully be good to go.
Cheers.

Many thanks for the help.
In the end the answer to my problem was extremely simple.
All I had to do was change the hotspot name and password on the HTC and just follow suit on the PCs to connect. I guess, in hindsight, I really should have tried that!
Apparently (according to Vodafone tech. dept in Spain) the upgrade has be known corrupt the above data.
Easy when you know how, as always.

Ok the keyboard connected after a while. It was actually the keyboard that was having issues since after a while I was able to see my neighbors in the dorm next to me s mac book showing up on bluetooth. The only issue I have still is that the delete key doesn't really function as backspace I have to highlight a chunk of text then hit it to delete. I downloaded an app called delete key as backspace but I can't figure out how to set that up. I looked in the screenshot instructions but cannot find a section for physical keyboard.

I'm using a version called cm-10.2-20130919-UNOFFICIAL-p3110 It's not a nightly or even an official cyanogenmod supported version I think. I just ended up with it by following a youtube tutorial. This makes me think that when cyanogenmod for the tab 2 7.0 progresses I won't be able to update through cyanogenmod update.
If this is the case will I be able to just flash a rc version of 10.2 when it becomes available without having to wipe data factory reset? I really hate having to reinstall everything
please tell my you can put the home back and multitasking buttons back to normal in that rom. I really don't like what they have done with hiding them and having you drag your finger up from the bottom to get at them.

I see you switched to PAC Rom already but back to your original question.
There was a Bluetooth keyboard problem with CM 10.2 early versions.
I think you were using Cody's version of CM 10.2 in the latest versions of CM 10.2 they fixed the "Bluetooth Keyboard Bug" so if you want to use CM 10.2 you just need the latest versions or you can install an app to fix the Keyboard problem and keep using the older versions.

thank you I am downloading the app. I have not switched to pac rom I was debating it but I ended up going with cm because its not bloated.

I think this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2391355 is the Rom you are using it's the same one I use on my P3113. When CM 10.2 first came out they had a BT problem and that app worked for me.
I believe CM fixed the problem before Cody's last release and my keyboard has been working again without needing the App to fix it.
I just checked my Backspace button and it works fine on my BT 3.0 keyboard.
I did switch the Kernel to Next 2.1.2 so I don't know if that makes any difference.
I would ask in Cody's thread about being able to flash the latest CM 10.2 over Cody's without doing a clean install.
