I was looking on eBay for a nice TPU case that is somewhat clear to see the awesome back of the phone. I found this

Its from Texas, US, so it should arrive quick compared to Hong Kong. Any thoughts on it or if anyone already bought one similar to it? I'm supposedly getting my device middle of next week and don't want to damage it.

From what I've seen, the glass breaks from nothing and I think TPU would transfer the energy straight to the glass

from one thread you read? cmon now. I've watched my friends tumble from 4+ feet and slam on tile and nothing has happened. this case or any tpu case is better then nothing. my friend had nothing protecting his.

I ordered one of these in white from the US seller, it came in yesterday. It actually looks and feels a bit better than I expected. Doesn't add too much bulk and provides enough grip.

Nov 30 availability. ;-(
I've been rocking the Ringke Fusion on my N4 for about 2.5 years now. Great case. Although I'm now hoping they release a version for the 6p with a solid black bumper + clear/smoke back. I don't like the clear bumper style they also carry, just looks a bit tacky to me.

I always found the N4 one to be ridiculously fat. The polycarbonate layer adds like 3mm easily to an N4 which wasn't that thin in its generation.

with fusion they seem to only color the sides leaving the back clear.. but I believe you can get like cutouts for it yes? somehow...

Yeah it does, but stylistically I prefer it; exposure in the back, protection on the sides. Its simply the clear sides that i dont like. We'll see. Might just go for one of the Adopted cases for now. Ringke cases are cheap enough that i wont mind switching later. Hopefully they will be thinner than the old N4 one though :S.
I've used them on the N6, note 4, and xperia Z3, and they have all been beautifully thin. some of the thinnest cases I have ever used. and they have even survived drops on cement floors in places like walmart and lowe's lol. i never tried the one on the nexus 4 so i can't compare.
of course I am talking ONLY the Ringke fusion. I have never tried any of their other style of cases but i hear they aren't as good.
Bleh they just emailed me telling me they won't meet their Oct 30th ship date. Looks like Nov 30th is the real date now. The thing that bugs me about this is that they decided to mark it as shipped so they get the money then they emailed me. I guess I will have to get a cheap TPU case or something in the meantime while I wait.

Their amazon page sure leaves alot to be desired. All they do is post a picture of the phone, not a single picture of the case they are selling. I won't buy a case without least seeing it first.

Hope so! The fusion was my favorite N6 case. Tested over 10 cases before settling on it too.
I get the feeling that so many manufacturers used leaked images to base their designs on, and next thing you know... SURPRISE! Laser rangefinder. Back to the drawing board.

It's back on Amazon with 11/30 as the ship date
So I emailed them asking if they were going to sell the case still or what. They told me they are trying to resolve issues with their manufacturer. In response to that I asked if it was worth putting in an order and this is what they said:
"Honestly, I would wait to avoid complications. We know that we are keeping the original in stock day of November 30th so far. So I would say place your order closer to the beginning of November. I hope that this information helped."

Any chance these won't make the phone ultra wide like they did on the Nexus 6P?
I bought that one and it made the phone hard to even hold.

I do like bumpers but often they seem a bit plain but with a dbrand skin they look great! If you also want protection then go for a fusion bumper!

Does the crash guard work with magnetic car holders? I'm thinking of putting the metal shim under a dbrand skin and using a crash guard. I have a dbrand + crash guard setup on my nexus 6p but I never found a way to put the shim on without it sticking past the crash guard's rim height.
As it's already arrived, here's some photos for you all. (Including size comparison to Spigen 6P case)
Hopefully they will be available on Amazon in the US soon.

It has a textured finish, it adds a lot of grip on the inside of the case.
It's smooth like a usual TPU case on the outside

The inside is textured so that you don't get the air bubbling effect that you would on some cases that have smooth TPU on the inside surface - it has nothing to do with 'grip'.

Looks like it's cut pretty well. Any reason why you went with the clear over the black armored one? I ordered a Quite Black Pixel, so I'm trying to determine if I should get a crystal or a black one, haha.

Hope it is good as my one for Nexus 5x. For 5x I had the thicker one, the Ultra Hybrid, but now I would like to have a thinner one for more feeling.
Will report when it is delivered and I got my Pixel.
Does it seem like the edge will be above the screen to prevent the screen hitting something if it face-plants?

As dust and sand gets in, those dots or ridges help protect the phone from being scraped
I ordered this for my 128gb black. O also ordered two other no name clear tpu cases. I can say without a doubt...the cuts on the speigen are a lot neater. There is also a slight border around the side of the case that isn't there on the cheaper cases. I got mine for $13 vs $8 for the two other cheap ones. Well worth the extra $5.

Not too happy with them. I ordered 2 cases , a regular carbon fiber and the Alcantara case. That was a week ago. Yesterday , send then an email wondering why 2 day UPS shipping is taking longer than a week, and they say , oh crap UPS lost them. Now they ask what I want, well I want the cases I paid for.
But.... they are now suddenly out..... geez.
Buyer beware with these guys, seems they could take the money on time.
Honestly my experience was pleasant, ordered and got the case in 2 days got the carbon fiber case

I ordered their screen protector and was very disappointed.
They are hard to put on, plus edges are always lifting.
They got a so much rugged touch you can properly swipe on the screen.
Too bad.
Good experience so far. Ordered case, showed up today. Fits great and looks good. Ordered on the 10th

Looks protective enough, but the carbon fiberness seems to be a bit... shiny? Like it's got a laquer coat on top? Cases by Pitaka I've used in the past, have a more grainy texture to them. Any ideas?

It does feel like it has a coating on top of the back. I had a pitaka case before and they feel a lot different.
It's not slippery on the edges it's like a rubber around the edges, which gives good grip.. The back is smooth though.

Finally got mine, will try to get some pics up soon. The Alcantara one is my favorite of the 2, both are identical designs just with different back "inlays" so to speak.

Change my view on this case after putting my phone in. Absolutely beautiful case with very grippy sides.
