Hi people, ive flashed the v28b bin through LG flashtool but the phone does not boot. it Just hangs on the LG logo and thats it. I cant flash through the KDZ method because the KDZ firmware updater application keeps crashing after it extracts the KDZ. I've also tried to update through the LG software update tool but it says the software i havde is the latest one. Any help would be appreciated

Just try egain, dont flash bin and fls files at same time, just flash only bin alone and wait until you get 100% in flashtool, at that time the phone will boot itself.
i managed to get it to come on after flashing it about 10 times but then i came across another problem. I got no signal and the phone would just shut down on its own after 5 mins say so i flashed xbsa's V7 rom and now the phone wont boot again. its driving me crazy!
READ THE GUIDE STEP BY STEP and it will work

I have, when i flash the V21EBOOT.bin it works fine and the phone switches on but this one seems to stick at the LG logo. It did eventually come on after flashing it over and over but then would just shut down automatically and no signal. When i flashed your rom on top it doesnt start up. Im going to flash again when i get home from work but this time without the CP file and hopefully that will work
try to flash the Korean version first with LG flash tool then restore factory settings by pressing ( HOME, VOL + and POWER button ) at the same time then flash official ICS V28b with LG Flash tool
use LG ROM CONVERTER to convert .kdz rom to .bin and .fls rom ( for easier flashing )
i did these steps and the phone woking fine

Yeah i guess i could try that, the XBSA404.bin worked when i flashed that previously. I have been flashing V28Broot.bin from xbsa instead of the official one but i'll try the official one instead

Awesome! What can we flash it with though?
We need a custom recovery first then this probably needs to be compiled into a flashable zip

Hi,
and if I wanna try, how to flash ?
grazie
So is there a way to flash the stock rom...
Maybe Dev. Fab985 will be kind enough to give us the steps in flashing this KDZ (stock FW) file.
Yep. I used kdz updater on my optimus one, odin on my samsung devices and nvflash on optimus 2x. Will there be any program like this to flash original firmware.
How about these steps( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1060121 )from other LG phone? Will it work on O3D?
Just semi bricked my O3D
Doesn't boot anymore after changing some system files
And can't upgrade via the LG tool because it says my software is up to date already :s
I can get into this nice menu via holding down the volume down button while powering on and releasing it after the screen goes black.
Try this tutorial, i've successfully updated same version
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1156549
Your tutorial worked just fine.
Thanks!
Thanks to you for feedback
Just installed a app and it asked to re-boot the phone so i did and now it just gets stuck on the lg screen any ideas anyone ?
I haven't installed this rom btw still on the rom that came with the phone.
Any way you can do this again (upload package) with the latest ROM?
.kdz it's not possibile cause for now it's only OTA.

hi everyone,
I have a huge problem on my LG SU760 KOREAN. ITS UNLOCKED AND HAVING (LG SU760_V30B_ICS.)........
BOUGHT IT 2ND HAND FROM A SHOP. AND TRIED TO ROOT AND INSTALL CWM. BUT AFTER REBOOT INTO RECOVERY. It got Black and Dead (Bricked)
I have tried all the guides. and the SMART FLASHER WORKED FOR ME. BUT IT WIPED OUT MY IMEI AND WIFI ADRESS.
i DONT KNOW ITS IMEI, AND NOT WRITTEN ON ITS BACK COZ ITS KOREAN. ITS SIM LOCKED.NO SIGNAL.
I have current flashed it with V20e rom but thats for P920 not for su760
.can anyone solve my problem.or give me BIN ROM LINK OF ICS SU760 V30B LINK.SO I CAN FLASH IT AGAIN.
man I have the same, and with smartflashtool I flashed V30B, (pay attention to option that must be UNCKECKED) after extracted CP and AP .bin file from KZD (search for extract bin from kdz)
than enabled "unknown source" and "debug usb"
than used adb_restore_rooting-v1.6 to root the original kernel
than used P940RecoveryInstaller.apk to install TWRP (or CWM)
now you have a fully rooted ICS original Rom,
if you want to install other kernel, or mod the built in kernel i suggest to install omap4boot-for_optimus-v1.25a in fastboot mode, to install new wpark bootloader (change lg icon from red to white) mostly needed for secure flashing new rom
I can send you my bin if you have an host somewere
PS. I loose my Imei when i flashed V20 don't know why (and I do it with lg flash tool) I recovered it simply when I used smartflashtool to flash v30b
Thanks
thankkkk you so much bro..
I just Flashed V30b ICS FOR SU760 the same I got the phone..
But Can U please give the details on how to recover imei or unlock phone.
I don't have any backup.
I HAVE ALL THE SOFTWARES,DRIVERS INSTALLED.
AND THE 3845*720# METHOD NOT WORKING,, IT SAYS : SYSTEM IS REORGANIZING,, PLEASE WAIT AND TRY AFTER SOME TIME.
rEPLY ASAP..!
THANKS
sorry I cant help you becouse I recovered it by flashing v30b when I lost it flashing v20
you can try to use original lg flash that have a recovery option, but first you have to downgrade to an older firmware
or searching on forum "Recover IMEI", seems to be two thread about this
Rooting Stock ICS v30B on su760
Hi razorjack81,
I have V30B stock updated from LG site, did you use the stock V30B or the Xball V30B ported for P920 users?
If you had Stock V30B for su760 kindly guide me how you were able to root it ( I would appreciate if you could make a step by step guide :silly
Thanks in advance.
I don't understand these directions from the FAQ:
"Q. How to get back to stock? I need to give my phone to warranty services how do I revert to official LG rom?
A. Check this thread. It is the v10b 2.2 stock rom as a flashable zip package. If you can't access the recovery, then see if the firmware for your country is available here or use this tool. Download the firmware and use the KDZ tool to flash. You will find instructions to use the KDZ tool on this thread. For a picture guide, check this thread.
Also for official GB lovers, see this and this. It is a v20g rom in flashable zip package. Or if you'd rather flash v20c/g roms from LGMDP, the links for that can be found in this thread.
If you are on Optimus V, see http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1025911
If you are on the Optimus T, see this post. Uses the KDZ method.
Q. How do I restore the stock recovery?
A. Download the original recovery zip file from here and flash it. (Yes, you can flash a recovery from within recovery itself)"
I have LG P500 from USA T-Mobile. I'm on V20 Baseband.
1)Is kdz the only way to go back to stock?
2)Which way is the safer and better way to get back to stock?
3)How (full instructions) to get back to stock rom for USA T-Mobile?
4)How (full instructions) to get back to stock recovery for USA T-Mobile?
yes you can flash a recovery from recovery, if it is a flashable zip
you need to stick with your phone not other variants of LG p500, O-1(Europe), O-T or O-V, dunno what is the T-mobile USA version, but is it written inside your phone under battery
1) KDZ is for flashing software in your phone, but beware, if you are unexperienced you may brick your phone for good, but you can try it, DO NOT PULL OUT BATTERY OR DO SOMETHING WHILE KDZ IS NOT FINISHED FLASHING PHONE OR YOU WILL HARDBRICK IT (but, I do not think someone at service will notice that, after a hardbrick, it just went dead and nothing else, nobody knows nothing)
2)if you do not know what are you doing, nothing is safe, anyway, as I mentioned, a hardbrick is a hardbrick and if you still have warranty, you are lucky
3)http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1824618 search there
4) LG P500 doesn't have stock recovery(just bootloader)
if you do not know what to flash try to find a T-mobile rom image (MAKE A REQUEST-someone will post it), and first time when flashing a recovery is to backup original rom for what will come after
LGMDP will work like this, it upgrades rom when you have an older version, so try to flash an older custom rom, find an Froyo 2.2 and flash it as any custom rom, boot, conect your phone to PC, that means that you have LG USB drivers installed, start LGMDP and w8 to detect your phone, after that goto options & help, select country, carrier, phone, w8 to detect latest update, start update
in case that your phone is not detected, boot into recovery, goto mounts and mount USB, that will make LGMDP detect your phone, start updating

KDZ is generally discouraged . However if you can find a Nandroid back up of GB , then that would be the safest way . I went back to stock froyo with the help of this thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1955354

Your have V20 that is new baseband so any rom from GingerBread onwards is good for you . Stock recovery can be flashed sitting right from custom recovery . Check out this thread for custom recovery and ROM of 2.3.3 - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1309744 . If you wanna try lgmdp look at this - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1324105
I need help to install official ICS on my LG P920.
The official software updater is not working.
It says cannot connect with phone sometimes and other times it says software up to date I do not need to update.
Right now I am running 2.3.5 version of android.
I have international version of phone.
Thanks
use LG flash tool very simple
or use KDZ software updater
but you need to manually download the software in the form of .bin and .fls ( for lg flash tool ) or in the form of .kdz ( for KDZ software updater )
google it
here is where you can download the .kdz file
http://wittgenstein.homeserver.com/index.php
and try this method to flash it
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2191698
the procedure maybe a little long but very simple trust me you can do it easily just read carefully
I have a D800, recently unbricked by shorting pins, and i have managed to install TWRP and download mode is working. I can't run any rom. I need to flash a KDZ through download mode.
But all the KDZ are of 10a/10b etc , does any body know where I can find a 30x KDZ or how to upgrade without flashing numerous FOTAs?
or will my phone boot up if i install http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=13450? i think not, but still need to know.

The AT&T D800 uses a TOT file to flash back to stock. Are you in the right section? If you have a D800 you can use this to go back to KK and it's just one FOTA thru AT&T to go to LP. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2663369
