Did you try Home + Vol up + power button??
EDITED:
If you are really stuck at fastboot.. You need to use ADB.
You can flash a recovery through fastboot and then a rom through recovery.
Search a little about using fastboot.

i've got the same problem .. yesterday i've done a full wipe(system , etc.) ... and i've pressed power off... my volume buttons aren't working ... how can i get in recovery?? with android flash recovery doesn't get from fastboot to recovery

If Android Flash Recovery ( AFR ) successfully flashes the recovery, you can simply pull the battery out of the device, wait a few seconds and then put the battery back in. Then manually boot to recovery. Keys -> Power + Volume Up + Home
AFR has an issue with the mode change from fastboot to ADB and from ADB to fastboot. I haven't had a chance to fix it yet.

ies but volume buttons aren't working their are broken....

Try using adb commands through your computer in fastboot mode.
If you don't know What is ADB? follow the link.
And here is the [Guide]Setting up ADB and Fastboot.

Fastboot not responding at all.

Firstly, the power button has gone faulty on my Nexus S and I am due to send it back to Samsung for repairs, so I want to get it back to factory image 4.0.4 IMM76D using the Google image and to relock the bootloader. However, when I reboot into fastboot all the keys stop working and I presume it has stopped responding and the only way to reboot is to do a battery pull. Just wondering if anyone has had this experience before and knows a solution.
By keys you mean volume and power right?
Does a computer recognize it with fastboot. Example . Fastboot devices / fastboot reboot etc?

Volume and power keys don't work while in fastboot and it isn't recognised by that. And when it powers on regularly it say No boot or recovery img. Nope, doesn't get recognised by PC and just says No devices found...
Did it work before in the same system?
Only other thing I could think of to try is download mode/Odin
It was working fine that day. I even flashed CWM on it after trying TWRP. But then suddenly the power button broke, and when I used the key combo to get into fastboot mode using the plug in to charger method it loaded fastboot and just wouldn't respond

Does your PC recognize the phone? Can you boot into download mode or fast boot?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
The computer did recognize it but i cant enter into bootloader because VOL DOWN + POWER just give me a HTC logo
If you are S-On with an unlocked bootloader, you need to fastboot flash the ROM zip's boot.img.
The only what fastboot says is < waiting for device >.
Put your phone in fastboot mode from hboot.
Fastboot flash boot boot.img
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
how? I cant enter in it because vol down + power only turns the phone and appears HTC logo
Sounds like a problem with your volume buttons. Use adb: adb reboot bootloader. If that doesn't work, your volume buttons may be messed up.
Fastboot flash boot boot.img responds me < waiting for device >
You need to be in fastboot mode, not hboot.
but i cant go into fastboot or hboot. only what i get when pres vol down + power is HTC logo same one when i pres power without vol down

Was there an error message? Was it the boot.img from the ROM zip?
It wasn't. Now it works perfectly. Tnx a lot to help me solve the problem. And yes seems that volume button is bad

Propably bricked software

Hello guys. I just got my N5 and ofc rooted it , unlocked bootloader. Then when I booted it into recovery mode ( CWM recovery) I did factory reset as ussually. Then I realised that all my files on card were deleted os I couldnt even flash CM. I tried to pull off the battery. Right now phone does not want to boot into fasboot mode or normal boot. But it can be seen via pc. Is there any way to fix it? I am sure in 99% that this is a problem of deleted software not hardware. Right now its coneted to pc and the screen is on ( but it does not show anything. just pure black).

Connect the phone to the pc and type in cmd: adb devices (should see a serial number), if so type: adb reboot bootloader. Do you get into bootloader mode then? BTW did you format data or data factory reset?

Need Help. Nexus 5 says google when trying to turn on

I was trying to get the latest twrp '2.8.7.2'. I downloaded it and flashed the img to recovery and nothing seemed to happen so I tried flashing it to boot then I tried to reboot the system. Now when I try to turn it on I get stuck on the Google like it is turning but it just gets stuck. I tried Charging it now when I charge it I get stuck on the battery logo. When I try booting it Booting it into recovery(twrp) I get a black screen. I can tell the Screen is on because of the dim glow it gives off but it is not doing anything. Note: I am some what of a noob when it comes to this stuff, My nexus 5 was running Marshmallow, and I was running the Xtra smooth rom (it is very close to stock). Plz help. I have also just found out that the reason im getting the bootloop is I flashed the wrong version of TWRP need a fix PLZ HELP.
Did you try flashing stock recovery or twrp 2.8.7.1?

All you have to do is boot into your bootloader (Power + Volume Up + Volume Down at the same time) and flash the stock recovery.
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Chances are you flashed an incorrect version of TWRP meant for another phone hence the boot loop.

Can you please explain to me exactly what to do. thank you. also my bootloader is unlocked. I also can get to fastboot so what is the diffrence between bootloader and fastboot.
Hold down the volume +, volume -, and power button. You'll be taken to a screen with the word START at the top. Now, connect the phone to your Windows computer using the USB cable, open a command prompt and type "fastboot flash recovery nameof twrpfile.img", press the enter key, use the volume button to select recovery, use the power button to enter recovery, press the power button, press volume + button, and you should enter TWRP.
Thank you but I do not own a windows computer
Then look up the respective commands. You flashed twrp over your kernel, you need to flash a proper boot.img (kernel) if you want the phone to boot. Fastboot is ran through bootloader. Flash the proper kernel in bootloader using fastboot.

It might not have been working because I did not enable USB Debuging. :crying:
USB debugging is required for adb commands. With fastboot mode, debugging isn't necessary.
