hi after wrong step by flashing directly to jb from ics my phone imei and baseband showing 'unkown'
after a few days searching for a solution and tried all the method still didnt get it fixed..
the only method that im still not been tried is qpst tools that cant even detect my i9003..
so my question is , any way to recover this 'unknown' error without any box or extra hardware?

i think there is no solution for our problems without efs backup or box..
When my imei was unknown, even I had an efs backup I haven't recover although tried many methods

so that means there's no way we can recover our imei with normal micro usb cable.. i thnk box/dongle is the only solution..
so sad,i've already sold my galaxy sl for cheapest price.. seem useless to me coz repair the imei at phone shop will cost almost the same as 2nd hand galaxy sl price...
That's wisest choice. Just get yourself a new model, don't have to look back.

wise choice? i thnk its the rght choice to me.. my friends also hav the same model and lost his imei.. till now he still cant recover the imei... and the phone is really useless without imei and baseband.. battery drains too fast too...

just flash FULL stock rom via odin to recover your imei then root and flash the rom you want

I have flashed my galaxy 3 and lost my imei i dnt hav efs backed up..i tried installing all stock firmwares but imei is showing 00000000000....
but luckly cm7 has came for g3...some has said that a temporary imei is possible to CM 7...

I don't really know what you are referring to, as there is very little information, but it looks like you should just flash the fxz

just flash the fxz to return it to stock, if that doesn't fix it nothing will. I am also going to report this to have it moved to general. anything that is not truly about serious development should go in general.
Please post in the correct forum. Development section isn't meant for questions.

If it's a problem with the baseband, then flash the "radio.img" that is inside the fxz.

HI Guys
I have been struggling for the past 5 days to resolve this issue on my O3D.
Im new to flashing Roms and basebands so please bear with me.
I have been using the O3D for the past 8 months with no issues. The phone just stopped reading my sim card and no network. I took it into an LG shop they advised that i upgrade from Froyo 2.2.2 to Gingerbread, so i used the LG support tool to update to 2.3.5
After this it reads my sim card, but no Network, No IMEI.
Tried 3 different sim cards to no avail.
so i researched this forum and eventually managed to downloaded and LG flash tools and tried changing ROMS, i tried 21a and 21 e but still im having the same issue.
I called LG and they said i need to update from the country i received the phone from. I dont know which country the device comes from as i got it as a gift.
What i noticed is that while flashing all these diff roms the baseband stays the same: L6260_MODEM_SIC_01.1042.00
KERNEL: 2.6.35.7 +
I am in South africa and not sure what baseband to use or how to flash just the baseband.
Any help would be highly appreciated please, im getting desperate!LG says i need to get the IMEI showing to fix the issue.

What are all the kdz files you flashed?
I have just checked my folders through root explorer and i am missing my efs folder.
I believe this is where all the info like IMEI IS KEPT
I have no backup of this folder.
IS there a way to restore this folder or the IMEI?

I'm pretty sure the visible efs folder is only on Samsung devices.
This is baseband issue. This is isue coused with old froyo firmwares. I had the same problem. I sent you PM.

Hi, my LG P920 does not read sim card of another operator. SIM card from whom I bought the phone reads, but another is not just a message: no sim card. phone does not have any unlock because when you enter the unlock menu does not have a place to enter code. whether it is a problem LG comunication partition described in this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1734330 if it helps? Well... I have a little issue here... Flashed the baseband for v21e, installed v21e_00.kdz rom... And i dont have network registration cant even find sim card... Already tried 3 sims... Im from Portugal...

I badly badly need ur help...my friend has screwed up his dad brand new samsung note 10.1..he did by trying to install a custom rom...now the situation is such dat ..he didn't take any back up of the EFS...it shows me the generic IMEI n product Serial No. shows 0000 as u can imagine... I had taken it 2 samsung service center they won't provide any support as its been bricked....the trouble is he has thrown away da box n misplaced the bill n stuff...I've tried quite few things like restore custom roms ...original rom ...whateva i cud find on the net but still cant get rid of the default IMEI.. n when i enter a sim it gives an error mobile network not registered .. 2 make it simpler I've attached the snapshot ...of the status of the device...any help is welcome ... n thanks in advance....I'm located in Dubai...

You can use the tool from AdamOutler

If you anly gain root access you are oke no need to unlock te bootloader that may bring you into trouble as I got see:

When you have root access you need to add your subscriber to the APN list apns-conf.xml this file is placed /data/etc/
i used this list as a start http://code.google.com/p/piraterum/...e/system/etc/apns-international-conf.xml?r=47
You can use the app root browser to put the file in place.

I Odin cwm recovery. The one that is locked down....then from there installed cm 10-2 nightlys and I use my tablet on uscellar network to make calls text everything ....email me 951stupid1 at gmail.com more ddetails...

I rooted using frameroot, then download root browser ....give root access ...then renamed /system/recovery-from-boot.p to something else.any thingdont matter ...save....the flash ....with Odin... http://m4.androidfilehost.com/download.php?fid=23011596498370946 PDA.... then download ..this Rom....... bellow attatched
and now have CWM. u can find help ..here...and the Rom with working camera download...

Can any one here has a recovery rom for SCH-I925u Us Cellular..Or any stock rom for odin flashing I brick my my note..some of the recovery for this SCH-I925u US Cellular but it's always failed..Please help how to revive my tablet..Newbie here

I'm glad that my GN 10.1 are back to life I send it to Samsung for warranty and they replace my PCB for free...Now what is the safest method to root this device that won't bricked my device...Step by Step please newbie here and I'm proud of it..My techno lust is getting rusted...

I bricked my SCH-I925U when I used CASUAL method..
Does your problem is blinking white and black screen after you power it on?
If you press power_volume up does it goes automatically to Odin download mode?
Thats my problem when bricked it.
And ODIN flashing tool doesn't help for NAND writing error..
What i do is I registered the device on Samsung and call their Customer rep and I say that It hangs and I don't know what to do..
If it is covered for warranty they will assist you how to ship back to them for repair..
hope your binary count is not triggered but my system status is custom..
