Hello,
I've been fighting a new "feature" that I think was introduced with JB. The media volume I set while the headphones jack is in use is "remembered" as is the media volume level without using the jack. It's not that it's turning down the volume when I use the jack... The problem is that it remembers whatever the volume was set to the last time the jack was used.
Is there a way to turn this off? Something that automatically makes a change should really be controllable by the user. I'd much rather the phone just leave the volume alone unless I change it.
Thanks.

Is there a way to separate the media volume of the speaker when no headphones are plugged in and a different media volume for when headphones do get plugged in
I've seen Apple do this on their iOS devices and Macbooks
HTC has done this also i believe
I don't mind if it would be something to flash or a .apk
I may have remembered wrongly, but I thought they are separate? If it's not with the stock ROM, I think with Voodoo Sound's volume key hack, the volume is in a way separated. That is, unplugged -> normal media volume, plugged in -> 100% media volume, instead, volume controlled by the analog amp. Not to mention you get better sound quality with Voodoo Sound.
My HOX always seems to drop the media volume to 0 whenever I connect it to my headphones (or when it disconnects)
Anyone figure a way to tel it to leave the volume the hell alone? I like it to pause when I disconnect?
It does this with my Bluetooth headphones as well. I just added "media volume 100" to my NFC task tag is use when I get home and take off my headphones.
Hello, I remember that in stock Gingerbread of the Blur UI of my Atrix 4G , when I plug my headphone into the phone, the volume setting will change so that I will have a specific volume setting when the headphones are plugged in. This is quite helpful in the situation where you do not want your ringer volume to be at maximum when you are using your headphone (sometime the volume level change scare you) and want it to be back at maximum when you unplug it. But when I switched to the Omega ROM v16 for the Note 2, it seems that it only have a single volume setting for everything. For example, if I set the ringer volume to maximum, when I plug my headphones in and there is a call, it becomes quite noisy... Any mods for specific volume setting?
Nexus 6p / stock and not rooted 6.0.1
I got the app, started using it but afterwards the volume for everything was boosted to +100% making the lowest volume setting equal or higher than the former maximum my phone was capable of.
Podcasts are distorted slightly but enough to make me go without in most cases. Nevermind that the volume is loud even at the lowest possible setting.
Actions I have taken:
Turn off volume boost
Lower volume in mx player
Uninstall
Reinstall
Other odd items
When adjusting volume with physical buttons the slider jumps down or up seeming to account for the expanded 30 step volume but never reaches the original minimum.
While adjusting volume on my Bluetooth headset the media volume adjusts as well in increments of 5, it did not do this previously.
Hoping for a swift resolution as my phone is completely useless for listening to music or podcasts while this persists. Any ideas are welcome.
Unpaired my bt headphones, LG 730, and re-paired. No effect, everything from OP still present.
My Bluetooth stereo on my car is not effected, volume works normally.
Hmm, I would try enabling the system volume panel in options, then adjusting the volume with that enabled, so that MX explicitly changes the system volume as well, see if that will reset anything.
I bought a Bluetooth controller https://www.amazon.ca/images/I/51rPNr9NjcL._AC_SL1000_.jpg to use on my bicycle so I don't need to unlock the phone and mess with the screen to skip songs, and it works fine when using a regular headset in the 3.5mm port. But when I use my Dragonfly USB DAC all that works is volume up/down and the play/pause button. The previous track button acts like volume up, and the next track buttons acts like volume down.
It works fine on my Galaxy S8. And this is not an issue with a certain app because I tested it on many music apps. It seems to be the phone itself.
Can anyone think of why it would be doing this, or any way to remedy the issue? Or is this just an unfixable bug?

Your is a rare specific use which i don't think xiaomi did ever test their phone in this condition, the only way to get it fixed is trying to report using their channels (feedback app, mi community etc..), or you can try switching to custom roms to see if it works fine there
