Spigen Ultra Crystal Dual Video Review - Nexus 4 Accessories

Hey Guys, Just adding my video review of the Spigen Ultra Crystal dual protectors.
Thanks
Link: http://youtu.be/9xnUvyNxmuA

I have the front and I love it. Not a single scratch on it yet.
Use a poetic bumper and the ringke fusion hybrid case and the sp never lifts.
Mine does attract finger prints as well but no where near as much as yours does...your hands are either sweating, have lotion on them, or are just greasy...

Will this work with the body glove?

I love these screen protectors. I've had em since day 1 as well as the ringke fusion. couldnt be happier.

Honestly, I wash my hands before every review so it can't be sweat/grease/lotion lol
maybe i got an older batch. it's happened to me before with spigen.
I still love their stuff

I have a oleo-phobic one and it still attracts a LOT of fingerprint..quite disappointed

How does this compare to BSE? I'm mostly looking to apply just the back, but is the Spigen better? I used to have an oleophobic SGP screen protector for iPod touch 4g and while it was pretty nice it did attract a lot of fingerprints.

Case that works with Zagg

I just got a Zagg HD screen protector and although really nice, I had to replace the first one because the current case that I have was pushing up the edges of the film, causing crap to get under it. I just got the replacement and have yet to put it on as I do not want to have it happen again. Does anyone else have a Zagg and some other case (other than the zagg full body protector) that works with it?
I'm using the incipio Silicrylic case! Love it. It did start to peel up one corner but i quickly restuck it and no problems since. With most case just be careful putting them on, that's when you can really peel off your screen protector. Speck cases are pretty friendly as well, at least they were for the past phones I've owned.

People also say they get the otterbox commuter and defenders with the zagg on amazon, but personally, I find those cases too bulky for my tastes. I want something on the same level as the case that I have. Flexible and easy to put on/remove along with not adding too much bulk.
I dont have Zagg, (skinomi here but same technology) but I use the Incipio Dual Silicrylic. Never had any peel ups and I love the case

Thats the EXACT one I have. I also have Zagg HD and this case coveres the edges of the Zagg perfectly. The only time you will see the end of the Zagg is aroudn the Camera and speaker, other than that all the ends are coverd as well as sides.
My Gripe though... Too thick. Was thinking about Zagg Body armour.
Any thoughts?

Hmm I thought it keeps the slim design of the phone very nicely. Not too thick at all. If you want a hard case this will be the most slim you get.
I got this one, love it.

It's very slim and don't wrap over the top.
My Amzer case comes with a holster, but it's a hard case that wraps tight and is rather low-profile out of the holster (the phone and case are a bit smudgy because I quickly took these pictures during a brief break from housework; you can click for bigger pics):

Hands down the best case that works perfectly with the Zagg HD is the Seidio Active.
This is the one I use and honestly I always use Seidio. You will not be sorry if you get this case.
I use a OEM beltclip case that I got from verizon, no issues what so ever.

Really? I have a Commuter as well. Is there any peeling around the edges of your screen protector? Do you remove the case often? If so, do you find yourself having any issues trying not to mess up the screen protector since the case fits so tight?

[dry install]spigen sgp front and back protectors

Just in case anybody wanted to know SGP now has a front and back protector and they are dry installs for those who prefer it that way. They're 13.99 which is the same price that you got for the single front protector that they initially started selling. They come in both ultra crystal and and ultra oleophobic.
Here are the links.
Ultra Crystal

They don't feel like rubber. These are not vinyl like material like wet install protectors. They are a harder plastic. I have the front one and it is very smooth to the touch.

They are a dry install which means that once you start putting it down there isn't much room for error. They don't cover 100% of the screen either. They kind of miss out on the curved edges. They are much harder than the BSE and have little to no orange peel effect. They are defiantly flatter and thinner.
I'm sure there won't be any problems with any case because it doesn't go to the edge of the screen.

should work fine. I would say it's probably better than the wet installs. Only thing is some people might not like the front since it doesn't cover the entire glass due to the curves on the sides.

Anyone have this that can comment on if this will prevent the back of my phone from sliding off of everything? I want to go without a case, but need something to prevent the back of my phone from sliding everywhere.
Also, anyone use it extensively with wireless charger notice it if messes up the screen protector at all?
Thanks!

Good to know. Only reason why I'm kinda eager for the bumper is because it reveals the back but I guess I'll just save my ~$27. The design of it looks amazing with the buttons, maybe one day it'll be cheaper or something, I doubt it but oh well. $10 for a ringke slim was definitely worth it.

pretty good I would say. The Diztronic has a non-plasticky surface on the inner side of the case..so the protector wont stick on the case.
Also, the front protector is almost spot on with the edges of the case. I love this setup...looks minimalistically professional (if thats even a word! :laugh
Im going to have a hard time choosing between the two (poetic bumper)

Urban Armor Gear Case & Glass Screen Protector?

I saw Vectron's review of the UAG case where he said he didn't think that the Spigen glass protector would fit on with it. What I'm curious about is if anyone has actually tried this or tried it with any other glass protector? I love the look of the UAG case and the reviews here have me just about sold on it. But I'd like to know if I can use any sort of glass screen protector with it.
I dont see why it wouldnt, the s3 version had no problems from what i read
I wouldn't know one way or the other, but I'd love to hear from someone who has tried it. In his review of the case, Vectron just laid the screen protector on there, saying it didn't look like it fit, but mentioned that he had some sort of pre-release model of the phone.

i got the spigen tr glass and it fit perfectly to this case.
and i must said this is a better case then spigen neo hybrid. its smaller in width, more comfortable to hold. The rubber lip off / along the glass is much higher, giving it more protection. the buttons are not so prompt to accidental activation.

Thanks for the response and the pics. Did you put the glass on first, then the case? Or vice-versa? Could you put the case on before the glass, even? It seems like if you could, it might help with alignment.

not the case first, nono i dun recommend tat. the rubber is soft enuff to over lap the glass, esp the tr since its edges are rounded. actually it kinda protect the glass edges, if its not for the cut out at the top earphone, u cant tell there's a additional glass over ur original screen. definately a perfect match wif this combination.

Hi, I'm planning to get the UAG casing for my phone too. but the earphone port is holding me back.
I'm curious if the port is big enough for 3rd party earphones to be plugged in. I've gotten several casing and it can't fit in perfectly for my phone to detect it.
I'm using a Shure SE-215, with a L-shaped jack.
I've attached a photo of the jack.
My iLoome glass screen protector fits perfectly. Im loving it everyday
I am using the UAG with the GLAS.t NANO SLIM and it fits just right.

Ringke Fusion ($13.99) vs Official Bumper ($12.95)

I was wondering which case is better than the other?
I'm looking to keep the nexus 4 slim, sexy, and functional.
I narrowed it down to these two cases because of the clicky tactile feels (on the fusion revision) and the original bumper while maintaining slimness.
I got the bumper a week after I received my phone. Well, not the official one, but a replica of the LG one that's sold in the Play Store. The one I received off Amazon seemed fine, but after about a week of normal use, 2 cracks appeared - one on the bottom where the USB is, and the other on the power button.
I think that they appeared because of plugging in the phone and clicking the power button turning it on and off. The material (metal-looking plastic) that surrounds the bumper is flimsy on it's own, and with a certain amount of pressure and heat from the phone, it's prone to cracking.
If you Google around you'll find that a lot of people have had the same problem with the official one. I bought the same bumper for my friend too, but his is holding up well so far, so I'm not sure. The bumper seemed to have a tighter fit on his N4 whereas mine felt a little loose. He has been using it for a couple months as his was the first wave of N4 that were shipped out. I just got mine a little less than a month ago.
Switched over to the Ringke Fusion based on the number of excellent reviews it got both on XDA and Amazon. Took about a week to get here and because it is the revision, the buttons are clicky and give a good feedback. The case also doesn't add much bulk at all. While I do like the heft of carrying around the phone naked, the glass panels scare me. I never used cases on my old phones, but then again, they were plastic and metal. They sure could take a hit!
The Fusion makes the N4 feel more solid as it is, and it works well with wireless chargers. The only complaint I have about it is the back clear plastic tends to dirty quite easily, with scuffs, fingerprints. But then again, who takes time out of their day to gander at the back of the phone. Sure it's pretty but you'll be spending more of your time messing around with the front.

I remember when i bought my N4, I kept buying different bumpers because either they were too tight [messed up my screen protector], too bulky or did not protect my phone good enough. In January, I bought Ringke Fusion; been using it since then . Its not one of those cheap bumpers, you will definitely feel the quality. Its fits the phone very well and you wont feel the size of it in your hand or in your pocket.

LOL I would personally get the Fusion, and yes, most bumpers online are replicas even if they are in LG packaging. The normal bumpers cost about 20bux (USD) so that's a good gauge in authentic or not.
There's a thread somewhere comparing the packaging but basically, if there's a holo sticker on the back, mine is square that reads "Original accessories by LG".

Looks better

Lets you create custom designs to insert behind the plastic
horrible protruding creases on the back of the case. - rough to the touch
picks up fingerprints and dust way too easily.
I use bumper for everyday use and if i'm going to be somewhere outside for a long while where i won't have a place to put my phone safely away i use the ringke.

Yes it fits fine. I have a custom and that's technically two skins of thickness in my areas and fits fine.
