my camera stopped working.
aplicatico when I click on the camera, the screen goes black and hangs the phone.
however the other day so moving, I realized that the sound and hit a picture, the phone rebooted and went to see the albums.
And the albums was a photo of the mobile screen at that moment it hit the picture, I found it very strange.
My android was original, I tried to upgrade to another official version too, but not worked.
Anyone have any tips?
Install a custom rom
If you ask me , just make a factory reset try to see if you still got the problem , then try some custom rom if you want but you can try HTC test functions just in case to see if this working , or just found something for test for the camera ...

My camera suddenly stopped working, I took pictures yesterday as usual but this morning when I tried to take some, well the camera just doesn't want to launch itself..

you haven't given much information. Does the camera app start with a black screen? Have you tried to start the app via the shortcut instead of the button. If the camera was bad i'd think the software would still run. Could your button be bad?
No nothing works, it's not even recognized by the pda anymore, I tried to launch it with any way possible, I tried to reflash but it's still not recognized. I also looked if the camera was ok (inside the pda, dunno how to say) but it was still in place, it suddenly stopped being recognized after flashing a rom radio
I didn't really get more answer lol

if you have problems with camera after flshing original rom, then your hardware is broken.
I bought the Sensation 9 days ago but it seems to have some trouble with the camera, hardware or software i don't know..
It works with absolutely no problem at all, but if I install another one, two or three camera apps, the problems begins. I take one photo, then switch to another app, the app freeze (black screen), return to home screen and every camera app don't work anymore.
The stock app shows only a black screen for a moment, camera zoom FX says "impossible to connect to android camera" (or something like that), other app black screen.
Once the phone has been rebooted, everything works well.. as long as (randomly) another camera app freezes and here I go again, back to where I started.
I can't take the phone back to the shop since 7 days has already passed (obviously the issue popped up the night of the 7th day ).
What do you say? Hardware or software? I would like to try a custom rom (even if the stock rom is wonderful and I have no reason to switch to another, besides this problem) but I don't know if that can solve the problem.. and I don't know how HTC warranty is for custom rom, root and everything else..

I've run into a problem with my camera on the sensation.
Whenever I try to open the app the screen just dimms (slowly but can still interact with it) and then pops back to original settings, the camera itself never starts.
This happened to me on the viper roms (1.1.0 and the new 1.2.0) both with and without camera HQ mods.
tried everything from clean install with full wipe to fixing permissions.
I truly hope it isn't something hardware related.
Absolutely nobody who know3s anything about this problem?

I have successfully rooted my HTC sensation and put on CyanogenMod 10.1 Jellybean 4.2.2 - KANG May 10th.
All seems great except for one niggling thing
I cannot for the life of me work out why my camera isnt working,
Using the stock app all it shows is a blank screen, along the bottom of the screen is like a blue dot in the centre with a circle to the right and a picture of a camera to the left
I get the error message
Camera Error
Can't connect to camera
OK
i have tried installing CameraMX app but that isn't much better either
That does show a setting screen with media manager and online album options, but as soon as i press the centre button to get camera working it just goes to a blank screen again, after a while I get
CameraMX isn't responding
Do you want to close it?
Wait Report OK
i have tried numerous power resets, removing battery, restarting, but always get this blank screen

The first thing that i can think off is maybe your phone got wet and the camera died?
if not i suppose you did a bad flash, try reflashing the rom with wiping everything, and don't forget to enable smartflash if you are s-on.

okay so i can re-flash the phone no problem, is there a way to re-flash without loosing all my settings, mail setup, contacts etc

reflash then without wipe
all settings apps etc will remain
everytime i want to take a picture with the front camera a sign pops up saying "gallery has stopped" and the camera just closes.
when i go to the gallery, the last picture taken (the one i tried to take) is just black.
i tried downloading other camera apps but they show the image from upside down.
the camera itself doesn't seem broken bc when i open it, i'm able to see myself, the problem is when i tried to take the actual picture.
about a week ago i flashed the rom [JB:CM10:4.1.2] RemICS-JB v3.0 - Galaxy S3 Look - Jelly Bean
i tried doing a factory reset, flashing the gapps again, forcing close, clearing data and cache from the gallery but it still doesnt work.
another thing, when i go to manage apps/all apps the camera app doesn't show up, i don't know if that means anything but i had to say it so you can help me.

how come you are facing so many problems at once
even my brother faced same problem but on other device.. and just because he cant solve the problem he reverted back to previous rom. but u can try clearing .odex file of the application if it exists. but it wont help u more than 7 days or so. hope some other member help u.
even i want the solution
