Hello everybody,
My father in law just received a HTC One S Ville C2 (the one with the S3 soc instead of the S4) from his company.
I have no clue where they bought the phone, but there are only a handful of available system languages. (English, French, German, Italian and Turkish)
He would like to have his phone configured in Dutch.
I was wondering if the following RUU contains more languages than the above 5. (In particular Dutch.) (I haven't tried to install it yet, because he will blame me if it doesn't contain more languages...)

and I read that in the asian Htc Magic, there isn't a google firmware, but there is the HTC no brand firmware with some features like the alphanumeric keyboard with T9 support .
I read that some users have created the HTC_CIME.apk and I tested it on the emulator on my PC, and if I setting the english language of the android system, I can use the alphanumeric keyboard with english dictionary...
The italian HTC MAGIC by TIM ( Telecom Italia Mobile), like the asian Magic, has the NO BRAND firmware...and it has the ITALIAN alphanumeric keyboard!!!
I would ask the procedure, and the files that I must take from this firmware to create an APK of the italian keyboard, to install it on the Magic by vodafone that has a google firmware without this type of keyboard.

I've managed to install the .apk as you mentioned and I can select it as TouchInput in Locale&Text but as the VF keyboard cannot be deactivated (or I just don't know how), it doesn't appear in text extry on the phone.
you must set the english language to use the alphanumeric keypad with the t9 support.

I have just bought an HTC Sensation, and unfortunately it was made in China. So it supports only Singapore(english), Vietnamese (english), etc. as language packs.
I am new to HTC and android operational systems and I am trying to find how can I add some language packs.
I have read on the forums that this is not possible, and in order to change the operational language to lets say an EU pack, you have to flash the ROM and install a new one.
Does anyone knows how I can do that, and where can I find such a Rom release to download?
P.S. Can someone please explain to me what is the S-off version of the ROM?

hi all, i have a t-mobile htc sensation, bought in USA but now i use it in italy but there is not menu italian language... i already update it FOTA (T-Mobile US) 1.45.531.1
i'd like to flash it with a rom with italian language (even the original htc rom)
can someone explain how or link a tutorial ?

I successfully shipped a htc Doubleshot / Mytouch 4g Slide to Germany. I am fascinated by this mobile phone!
but does someone know how to change the language to German? There are just spanish and english available so far - i know the phone is supposed to work in the USA but isn't there a patch or a custom rom to apply the german language?

In settings -> Language & keyboard -> Select Language
Some of the options are:
Dansk
Deutsch (Osterreich)
Deutsch (Schweiz)
Deutsch (Deutschland)
Deutsch (Liechtenstein)
This is on the stock ROM.
Please page a moderator to move this posting to the general section, as this is not a development topic at this time.
If those language settings do not appear for you, or are not what you need, then we will have to see about installing a new language for your phone, and you may have to figure that out.
When you start writing the new language and it's locale for the installation on the phone it will become a development topic then, but you have to do something to get started first before it can be posted here.
I have to post up my findings from the new kernel before I can get into this project, so hopefully that was all you need.
Install MoreLocale 2 from market. There you can change the language to german.
