ROM suggestions - Eee Pad Transformer Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've noticed that there isn't much dev going on for the Tf101 wifi so I wanna start adding some stuff to the dev thread and good some boost in here... questions..
1. What style if from would you see?? Aokp/Tw etc
2. What style of Audio mods ?? Sony Walkman/Awesome Beats/King Beatz
3 .Any other suggestions..
I'm ready to work with some participating help if possible
A.R.H.D. 3.6 ICS Custom KingBeatz Audio

Wifi itself, or the model TF101 Wifi ?
There is LOADS of dev work going on for the TF101, a good selection of ROMs to choose from

I've tried quite a few recent roms, the best Antutu benchmark performance after some fine-tuning I got was from Gierdo's CM 10 build of RaymanFX's unofficial Cyanogenmod, which is android 4.1. Right now i'm testing Josteink's unofficial Cyanogenmod which has android 4.2, i'm having a hard time matching it to the performance of the latter.
Katkernel is freaking awesome btw.

I have said it before, and I will say it again.
Benchmarks are kinda pointless IMO. I got the best benchmarks on ICS Megatron. However, JB 4.1 (I used the PA/CM10 hybrid) felt faster even though it got worse benchmarks than Megatron. TeamEOS 4 feels faster than JB 4.1 and gets even lower benchmarks.
One theory I have is that the hardware is using more resources to run the OS so it benchmarks worse, but it feels smooth to me. Not to mention some benchmarks have not been fully optimized for all devices running JB, especially a TF101 running 4.2.
I gave up trying to max out the benchmarks a while ago and just find what feels the best and is most functional for my needs. Currently, that is EOS 4.

Benchmarks are just statistics
Sent from my GT-N7005 using xda premium

Very true benchmarks IDC about there useless as long as the device looks puurty and kicks ass with feature were good so far dev selection are only CM10.1 from what I've seen the tf101 in general I don't have a tf101 3g so I don't know how well I would be able to support should be as but I'm open to trying

Liquidsmooth with it's kernel
EOS4 with Kat Kernel
No-Name cm10.1 with Kat Kernel.
My suggestions ^

I heard from my friends that cyanagen mod or something is good
Sent from my GT-N7005 using xda premium

I will get rock in on this tonight thanks for the suggestions

I'm currently running no-name CM10.1 with Kat Kernel and it's quite good. No issues yet. Was a little rough at first but smoothed out after the first day or so of use.
I find it runs better now than it did on stock ICS.
Been thinking of trying Liquidsmooth or EOS4. Anybody here tried running those 3? Which did you prefer and why?
Only main reason I would try those others is for more customization options/different look.

I'd love atouchwiz rom

Would love to see PARANOIDANDROID 3 on the tf101

I'm using EOS 4 for several weeks. All other JB Roms caused many SODs and RRs. Is anybody testing Gierdos CM 10? I really liked it. But this SODs made me sick. Would be interesting if anybody made better experiences with newer versions. Got a 101G.

For me its the 7/23 jb cm10 that you cant get anymore... its the project butter one.
That was the fastest indeed thanks to project butter, but the lags people were experiencing (including myself) would not make it an option as I believe the OP is looking for both speed & stability.
From what I have read I would suggest Emancipation (GB) or uni-yuma-porn (ICS).

I'd say Entropy's latest build of CM9 by far has the most stable kernel as of right now. Amazing battery life as well, everything just works.
Another great option is Emancipation(My Fav)/Ethereal/Aeon for gingerbread.
I wouldn't go for JellyBean right now if your looking for stability. Still in alpha but there are a lot of amazing dev's working on it right now and should be the best rom in a few months.
You could use any gingerbread rom with Zen core a over clocked or try AOKP

Isn't this kind of redundant in the General forum where there isn't any one device? Especially seeing as you're talking about specific ROMs rather than bases (i.e. not something like AOSP, MIUI, TouchWiz, Sense etc.). If I said I was using NexusHD2 JB would that really mean anything or make a difference to your choice?

SlimBean 4.1.2 @E730 (unofficial).

??

Well I've had my xoom wifi for about a year, its been good but since upgrading to 4.1.2 its started to get slow,
Opening links take a while and clicking things are a slow, takes a while to show keyboard and links don't work sometimes (takes a few clicks)
I know this has probably been asked 1000's of times but I'm thinking of installing a ROM and need a suggestion,
I need a stable ROM where just about everything works like SD card etc etc and few extras won't be bad,
I like to select my own quick settings but not important
But it must be quick, I can't handle this slowness.
I've seen a few ROMs but not sure what is solid, how are teameos or cm 10.1 ? Differences ?
And are 4.2 Roms worth installing even though they are not official from Google ?
I usually install a ROM and stick to it, I don't like switching between roms,
Thanks in advance
Sent from my Xoom using Tapatalk 2
You have to try them out. No one can tell how a ROM will perform on your hardware or if you will like it. However, I prefer Team EOS over CM10 because they have their own custom kernel and I like their overall customization options.

I am using EOS4 190 nightly with Elemental X 0.8 and it works very well. The newer Elemental X kernals seem a little laggier to me.
Yeah I think I had tried one of the first nightlies for 10.1 back in January and noticed a lot of lag, but April nightlies seem just as fast as 10.0 pretty much. YMMV.

Lightest Rom?

Hi.
My Nexus S is kinda slow now and it cam be embarrassing sometimes.
I only use my phone for Google music, Tunein radio, podcasts, email and basic internet.
I was looking the other day to see what was eating my memory up and I noticed things that I don't use any more like twitter apps and stuff that I will never use like Google play books and play movies.
I am rooted and using a tweaked kernel, but I'm still using stock ROM. I think this weekend that will change.
I'm not interested in overclocking, just a little bit more quickness and stability.
Can anyone recommend a good kernel and ROM combo.
Kernel must have voodoo sound.
Cheers.

If you want blazing fast rom try Metal Dragon Overlord, only drawback it's 4.1.2, if you want 4.2.2. rom try Hellybean or CM10.1 nightlies.
Pretty much every kernel's got voodoo sound so that's nothing to worry about.
Rom&kernel combo? - Metal Dragon Overlord, matr1x kernel.
Hi,
Initially I was looking forward to a 4.2.2. ROM but I have read comments about lag after a week or so of using those ROM's. So I may just stick with a 4.1.2. ROM.
Looking for something that I can flash and forgot, something very mature that I can keep on my phone for the next year without thinking about it or getting reboots. Don't want to be flashing a new version every day.
Cheers.

This is the closest, or one of the closest, to a stock 4.2.2 ROM you can get and it's light, no bloatware. Also if you're using a 4.2.2 ROM, you these mods as well: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2158329
