With the information provided, you may be in a bootloop. You need to boot to recovery.
1. Hold the power button to force power down the phone.
2. Quickly release the power button and IMMEDIATELY press the power button and both buttons in the volume rocker simultaneously.
3. Hold all three buttons down until your phone boots into recovery.
4. If it fails to boot into recovery and continues to normal boot, start over at step 1.
5. If you successfully boot into your recovery, do a full wipe (factory reset), flash Avatar, gapps, wipe cache, wipe Dalvik (under advanced).
6. Reboot.
See if this works! Good luck!

Thanks, i gave that a try but no luck..might it be something mechanical? cuz like it just boots when i put the battery in even if i dont hit any buttons.. :S

Yeah, you have a faulty power button. Common problem, replace it and your problems will be solved.

If you don't want to spend money to replace it, you can simply slam the power button on any hard surface for a maybe 5 seconds and it will be fine. I have to do this every couple of weeks/months. If you have gotten your button fixed already, how did you do it?

I've actually just been beating it off stuff till it works, I can't afford to replace it yet

device reboots to recover please help

i just onstalled megatron rom and my devices boots up to recovery mod with no way out of it
i really dont want to wipe
is there a way to force the device to boot normal?
I had the same issue as you only a couple of days ago. I had to do a full reboot to my phone unfortunately.
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
what do you mean by full reboot?
reboot the device another time, when it starts again hold down the power button till it powers of
Now do as you normal do and hold down volume - and power button till you see white letters about 2 sentences written. let go of the buttons and do nothing and it will cold start linux.
The problem you have could be coming that you rebooting in recovery from rom. Some clockworkmods don't like that.

Did you install CWM from ROM Manager? If you did you installed a "bad" version.
Go here for the fix, it has nothing to do with Megatron ROM.

Wipe data and cache and then reboot. You might need to format and then remount system and then reflash the zip after wiping data/cache if that doesn't work.

How, im noob

You'll have to look up directions for that online. I've never even heard of your phone. If you can get into stock recovery then wipe everything and start over.

Let's hope the recovery method is the same as the newer version.
Found it here.
Here are the directions:
First of all, here is how to enter Recover Mode:
- Shut down your tablet if you have not done so
- Press and hold Volume Minus button
- Still holding Volume Minus button, hold the Power button
- When the screen displays the Android logo, release Power button but still holding on to the Volume Minus button
- After some time you will the recovery mode logo of an Android with molecules-like structures in its body, you can then release all buttons
- Wait a while more and you will enter Recover Mode, it says Android System recover on the top left
Looks similar to my Samsung one.
Problem solved guys
Thank you

Pull battery, put it back in, press and hold volume up, volume down, and power button at the same time. Once Samsung splash screen pops up the first time, let go of the power button while still holding volume buttons. Should boot right into recovery.

Do a backup in recovery before factory resetting. This way, you'll still have all your stuff that you can extract.
If all else fails, you'll need to do this... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=21011261

you can also go to Samsung's website: http://content.samsung.com/us/contents/aboutn/kiesIntro.do
Download Samsung kies, install it and reboot your computer.
Put your phone in the download mode:
-pull the battery, but it back don't turn on your phone
-lunch Samsung kies on your computer
-hold volume up and volume down (while holding) connect the USB cable to your computer
-use your phone's volume up/down to continue to download mode
-once your phone is detected by Kies (may take a couple of connecting and reconnecting for your drivers to install and initiate)
Click Tools-> Firmware upgrade and initilazation
go that route, have the back up checked too

How To Break A Bootloop

I had two bootloops today. One was when I was restoring a nandroid in TWRP that froze restoring data, the other was after doing a fast reboot when I installed an exposed framework module. In both cases, it took me almost an hour of holding down my power button and then getting to recovery by pressing the vol+ and power button.
So I am wondering if I have a bad power button or if something else could have caused my problem. I tried pressing the button firmly then loosely. I am not sure what I did differently to get it actually to work but I am concerned. Is there a technique to use to effectively break a bootloop?
I am rooted with S-off. I updated to the latest Verizon firmware a few days ago. I am running the GPE rom release from 4/13. I was thinking of going to a stock based rom in case this was related to GPE but I am wondering if I would be setting myself up for another prolonged bootloop.
Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Check my thread regarding [Q] getting to hboot with fastboot flag. My last post gives you a step-by-step on how to get to the bootloader even when fast-reboot is set.
Volume Up (hold) plus tapping power gets me in.

Holding power, vol up, and vol down button for 10 seconds is a hard power off just like if you were to take out the battery. You can do this when the phone is doing anything like bootlooping, in recovery, on, etc.
If it does not work for you, then the power button is faulty.
Do this to turn your phone off. Then vol up + power to boot directly into recovery. Problem solved.

I had this issue and was advised to hold power and vol +, well after a while that didn't do anything so I tried the good ole power and vol - and it rebooted to hboot immediately -_-

How did you get around this issue? The same thing is happening to me. A quick response would be greatly appreciated.

Loop boot without a root. Help needed.

Suddenly my phone (z710e) jumped into a loop boot.
It's not rooted, no custom stuff, no custom bootloader.
It loads fine, but after 1-2 seconds reboots.
I've already tried to unbrick it with no result, computer can't see my phone.
Help with an advice or a link or anything useful will be great!
Thanks!

If i remember correctly you can wipe cache from the stock recovery. Boot into hboot by holding down volume down and power. Use the volume buttons to highlight recovery and press power. Then you will see a little android or a red exclamation in a triangle. Press the volume buttons and power until options appear on the screen. If it gives you wipe cache, them wipe it. Other wipe options may/will remove your personal data so use caution and know the risks

Okay, remove your battery then replace after 10 seconds. Then hold volume down first, then while volume down is still depressed begin holding power as well. If you see the htc splash screen then it has failed. Battery pull and try again. Have you ever used adb on this device?

Edit: removed incorrect data.

it doesn't matter if you have fastboot enabled
you can still have access to the bootloader when removing battery and putting it back

I've tried to remove battery and reboot before, nothing changed.
adb - no, did not used
Solution was - to disassemble it and assemble... After that phone booted normally. :victory:
